Monday afternoon ownage.

Was the contract loaded? I ignore all the listings unless they say "xxx points currently available"..

Nope. I just get my 2012 points. But, it's rare to see the 100 points and smaller contract. So, I figured get it while I could.

Just got a call from DW. Took the kid to the Dr. this morning because she saw that he was getting a rash. Turns out it's chicken pox. :headache:

Sorry Andy. Prayers.

Don't know yet. May do chicken or ribs (BBQ) or steaks, hamburgers and hot dogs (grilling). Have a decent sized Webber so while it can't "smoke" it can do low and slow using the indirect method. Also have a chips holder thing that will provide some smoke. Not quite up to KY or Carolina BBQ standards but it will do in a pinch. Have to get me a smoker one of these days. Almost bought a "Big Green Egg" that can do both but didn't wan't to spend the $$$$$ for it. I like to think I am pretty good on the grill but am always looking for new techniques and recipes to play with. You are welcome anytime to show me your style.
.

I'm proud you know the difference. Depending on where you were raised, people argue whose BBQ is the real one. So, while we will leave out KY vs KC vs Memphis vs NC vs everywhere else, it is the slow cooking and sauce that makes the difference.

I am so confused...

It's like moving out of my parents house, into a new home for the first time.

But I still have to come back and see life goes on and the folks place... ;)

Hey Brian. Not quite sure I would go that far. I'm just having difficulty keeping up with all these passwords. :rotfl:

Hey guys, thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. Wyatt is doing much better his fever has broken. We may be headed back home tomorrow.:cool1:

What will it be like Dec 1-11?

That time frame tends to be a bit more leisurely, though not as quiet as say the beginning of January after the crowds have died way down with everyone back in school (but before Marathon hits). It has historically been a very good time to go with lots of walk-on attractions. There are lots of DVC'ers who go then - but remember that not all DVC'ers use the parks the same way as traditional hotel guests do. Many will go in the parks for a short time, and leave, if at all. Most are there for the evening activities & decorations.

And we'll be here just waiting for you when you decide to come back home again...

I really want to do a MVMCP but timing is the issue. Traditionally, dds don't get out of school until Dec 17 or later, and I would have what, 1 day of the party? I may try to take them out the week of Thanksgiving when they already off a few days, but then I would just catch the front end of parties and have the big crowds. What to do?

Dinner went well but the burgers were a little underdone for my taste. Will eat any kind of BBQ and enjoy the differences. Had some pretty good stuff when I visited Kentucky last summer.

That is good news. Hope he rebounds quickly.

Good evening fella's :surfweb:

Hey Dave, up late tonite. The dog keeping you awake?

We don't have a zoo in Owensboro, but have one in Evansville about 30 minutes away. I need to renew my membership as I really enjoy it. I had a behind the scenes tour at the Louisville zoo once and got to see the lions' den. While walking along the wall, the male lion jumped up with front paws on the cage about 2 feet away from me. They are impressive.
