Howdy Norm! Snow is mostly gone over here but most of the county schools are still closed tomorrow. My kids are still on but if they cancel I have to more assistants to unload the GS Cookie Truck. Win-Win!

Not one snow flake here. Do you all get the last minute notice (6:00 AM) phone call for school closing?

I hate those. It's not too difficult for either DW or I to take a last minute sick day and stay home with the children, but I know others don't have it so easy.

SWMBO is always home, but I make the kids come to work with me part of the day if I'm not on the road. One of the advantages of working within walking distance. Gets them out of the house and I have them work on penmanship, spelling or math drills. No slacking while I am around.

Good night gentlemen, time to climb aboard the Dream Weaver train.

Well, I can't take dds to work. As an outstationed employee renting space, there are lots of tatletales with no work to do. So, I can't stay there long with them. So, we stay home. I am not the taskmaster you are, but we play games and I have them count money or other stuff to try to trick them into learning.

Well those of you who visit the prayers thread know that my dad has been diagnosed with oral cancer...and will be having some major surgery on Feb. 29.

This fell right on the target date for DS17 and my trip. Well this upset my dad to no end that we were going to miss out because of him. I of course told him...it's not his fault...he has no control over the situation...and it is what it is...but there is no way we would be in WDW while he was in surgery.

So after some spreadsheet work...several phone calls and long talks with DS17...we are going to shift our trip 3 days forward...to Feb 24- Feb 28. (from Feb 27-Mar2).

Here's what we miss...No 24hr day...No Backstage Magic Tour.
Here's what we get...a chance for 2 EMH nights at the MK...Keys to the Kingdom Tour...1 extra park Day...Saving a whopping $6...My dad's happy(well...at least not upset because he thought he messed our plans up)...my son is happy...and I get quality time with my son...and will be here for the surgery.

Plan:
Feb 24...Drive from TN to WDW...check in 3-4pm...check out POP and goto DTD...hopefully meet FED on the way down.

Feb 25... KTTK Tour...MK EMH til 12am

Feb 26... Epcot

Feb 27... Return to MK for another EMH...also some resort hopping.

Feb 28... Check out....maybe meet Fed on the way back if we didn't catch him on the way down.

Ok.

Not a flake here either. Does that help?

Actually a nice pleasant day, sunny, a little warmth to it, quite enjoyable.

It was a really nice day as well. Still needed a jacket on outside. Maybe one day I will reach my goal of paradise falls, er umm.. Disney World.

Glad it is all working out and you can still be there for your dad. Have a great trip!

Continued prayers for your dad and glad you were able to work out the drip with DS.

Good night all. I think I got too much fresh air today as I cannot stay awake. Later.

We have a Chanel through our cable that shows concerts and school activities all day. When there is bad weather they put the closing info on a bright red screen. I don't even put my glasses on just turn on the TV if it's blue we get up if it's red go back to bed.

I have paid sick days, DW doesn't, so I get most of the stay homes. If I can't afford to stay home she goes with DW. If my parents are around, they could be an option too...
