Rye Whiskey (Similar to Crown)

May have to get that a try sometime. They opened a new bourbon bar here. Owensboro has always been on the bourbon trail, but this is something new for this small town. A couple bought an old run down crack house in the historic district and completely renovated it. Just a few months ago, they opened a bourbon bar that is supposed to have over 100 different bourbons. DW and I are going to try the restaurant (and bourbon part) eventually.

Here is their website, but it doesn't even mention it. Maybe I need to call them and have them pay me to update their website.

My company has a branch in Bardstown Kentucky...

Jim Beam's nephew works for us.

Jim Beam (company) bought out Maker's Mark, Old Grand dad, and a many of the other KY bourbon makers. Now, I am all for expanding your business and last company standing, but now, there's not really that need to compete. Bourbon tastings, at least KY bourbon, where of course the best bourbon is made, now lose a little bit of the competition.

Bardstown is about 3 hours east, but if Jim Beam's nephew can get me a great paying job there with no qualifications, sign me up.

I am with Head Office - he is a Production Supervisor.

We are doing more cut downs, then hires at the moment. :(

Oh, and we are not a borboun company... :)

Apparently the Beam Family is not involved with the company at all anymore...

Yeah, the name went with the company. Even some of the old distillaries are now owned by companies and people who know nothing about alcohol. Makes you wonder about quality control. Now, that would be a great job - quality control.

Well, I have 15% battery life so time for bed. Later Brian.
