Hey guys,

My FIL has been found safe. He was pulled over by police for speeding in Lynchburg, VA. When they asked him where he was, he said, "Delaware." He had no recollection of ever having been in North Carolina. So obviously he's very disoriented at the least. The police are taking him to the hospital in VA to get checked out and we have some stellar family members who are making the drive to get him and return the rental car. I was about to hop in the car to go get him but my wife forbade me from leaving her alone tonight after the ordeal she's been through.

Thanks for the prayers (they work!) and the offers for help. You guys rock.

I know that is what he said but I don't agree. I would have to say Andre and Hogan were.

I knew he was Canadian. I was a big WWF fan and must admit, it was the training, the prayers, the vitamins, .... what ya gonna do .... I would do the three poses. I was a Hulk Hogan fan. I liked his theme music. I remember Hulk Hogan and Stunning Steve Austin (Stone Cold), Superstar Bill Dundee, and Jerry the King Lawler here in KY. The King never moved up with the big boys, because he wasn't big or good enough, so better to rule the small wrestlin divisions. We now have King's furniture stores here owned by the same.

It seems like the choices are no child left behind or no child gets ahead.

We are dealing with this right now. Took us a year for the school to finally recognize that our son was ahead of everyone. They finally tested him in first grade and said his scores were at third grade levels. They and we decided a jump to 2nd grade would be good for now. Didn't want to get him too far our of his comfort zone as far as friends and things.

The only thing I was thinking later was, It is great that he is that smart but Is he that smart or is the curriculum rolled back that much. With what we have seen this year(as he is in third grade now) is that the curriculum is rolled back a lot. Of course the issues in the state right now and within our district a bunch of the teachers in our district have really seemed to not care much. And I am really not impressed with his current teachers. He has two different ones because he goes in to the 'advanced' class for a couple of classes and those classes are a joke too. I am glad they actually acknowledge the advanced students but they could do a bit more for them. Reading is one of them. Instead of getting a book (and i am serious because i have seen some of the other kids reading books) with 10 pages and one paragraph per page in big print, they might get a book with 15-20 pages with one paragraph per page. It is sad. I don't know about the rest of you (and i would kind of like a chime in to see about where my son is) but my son has been reading 100page chapter books for about a year and a half now. Even started reading the Harry Potter books, and this last time at disney I got him the first Kingdom Keepers book (thanks to the great reviews from the dads ) and he is reading that.

Sorry I will stop now. Just seems like the education system has been dumbed down soooo much.

I actually took the time to catch up on the 10 pages I missed today and was heartbroken to read your story.

So glad your story came to a good ending. I don't think I could take any more stress after my day today!

His procedure was supposed to take about 4 hours and end around Noon....when we didn't hear anything we started to worry....about 2p they finally told us he was in recovery!

Doc came out and talked to us and said everything went fine....but unfortunately, because Dad likes his Bacon, his girth provided a much smaller area to work in. This slowed things down but didn't impede on the success of the procedure.

So now, they send out his prostate to be biopsied and checked for "clear margins" to know if the cancer was confined to just his prostate. Results in about a week.

So the day started at 3:45a this morning and I just got home about 20 minutes ago.... I'm beat!
