Hey guys,

My FIL has been found safe. He was pulled over by police for speeding in Lynchburg, VA. When they asked him where he was, he said, "Delaware." He had no recollection of ever having been in North Carolina. So obviously he's very disoriented at the least. The police are taking him to the hospital in VA to get checked out and we have some stellar family members who are making the drive to get him and return the rental car. I was about to hop in the car to go get him but my wife forbade me from leaving her alone tonight after the ordeal she's been through.

Thanks for the prayers (they work!) and the offers for help. You guys rock.

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 So glad to see this. I sent you a PM as well.

D'oh... you are correct sir...

Brett Hart's brother was also a wrestler too... but I stand corrected.

Glad someone is paying attention.

Anyone aware that Randy Poffo (pre-Macho Man) played professional baseball?

Guys I got a text from my nemesis... Scott...

Actually I texted him to find out how is dad was. He's currently driving home, so the lovely Mrs. Scott texted me back with an update.

I told her I'm the maple syrup guy (for those of you following the saga)... :rotfl:

Update:

"Everything is fine. Took a little longer than thought. We'll know more from pathology in a week. Hopefully be coming home Saturday!"

I also high five'd Hulk Hogan after his match with Mr. Wonderful Paul Orendorf... at Exhibition Stadium in Toronto as well.

It was one of the events that was broadcast on PPV.

Where he got his "revenge" for being blind sided with a pile driver.

The closest I came live was to see "stunning" Steve Austin. He was the same size or maybe even bigger, but had long blond hair and was balding on top. He wrestled Jerry Lawler and the King beat him. I think it was rigged. I saw the interview with Hulk Hogan after Andre the Giant died and Hogan's famous body slam of the 500 pound man. Hogan said he never could have lifted him with the Giant's help, and while Hogan got lots of credit for making wrestling what it is, he wouldn't have got there without Andre's help.

Don't get me started. We even have our kids in a private school and it isn't much better. What really irritates me is the potential that is being wasted. I know kids that could compete with any other kid if they were given half an opportunity and could get out of the hollers. Just wrote a reference letter for a student for a community college scholarship for diesel mechanic. Nothing wrong with that at all if that is what he wants to do and I would be the last to suggest a BS/BA for everyone, but he has great potential but was not exposed to opportunities along the way. All he knows is get in with the coal company, preferably above ground and this is how he plans to do it.

I hear you. I agree that some of our children need to be steered towards plumbing, electrical, HVAC, welding, or some career where they can succeed as college is not for them. And, not only does that path need to start in high school, but they need some type of financial information like Dave Ramsey or some other curriculum to learn how to avoid debt, save money, and invest for retirement.

Unfortunately, the only private schools here are 1 catholic school and one christian school. The rest are public school within district lines. Fortunately, the public schools here score the same or better vs the private schools and both my county and private schools score better than regional county schools. So, while I can say we "score" better on tests than other counties, I cannot say my children are receiving an outstanding education. My oldest had to learn "chortle" because it is on the test. They are only taught test questions. And, as opposed to math and reading, my oldest had to learn the technical terms for archery, as in the name of stance, bow parts, etc. My FIL, an excellent bow hunter with many kills, did not know the definition. Now, they NEVER learned how to use a bow and arrow, just learned the words for it.

Mark - Thank God things worked out.

I actually took the time to catch up on the 10 pages I missed today and was heartbroken to read your story.

So glad your story came to a good ending. I don't think I could take any more stress after my day today!

Thanks for updating everyone Brian! :thumbsup2 <----thumb

His procedure was supposed to take about 4 hours and end around Noon....when we didn't hear anything we started to worry....about 2p they finally told us he was in recovery! :sad2:

Doc came out and talked to us and said everything went fine....but unfortunately, because Dad likes his Bacon, his girth provided a much smaller area to work in. This slowed things down but didn't impede on the success of the procedure.

So now, they send out his prostate to be biopsied and checked for "clear margins" to know if the cancer was confined to just his prostate. Results in about a week.

So the day started at 3:45a this morning and I just got home about 20 minutes ago....:scared1: I'm beat!

Nighty night guys.

Since mine are still young and into character breakfasts, we're locked into parks since no park hoppers. Who am I kidding? I'm hooked on the 8:00 am character breakfasts.

My little guy is 6, he has been to WDW 7 times, he has done most of the character meals (except princess ones) he is pretty much bored with them:confused3 He says Pooh & friends is for little kids (words from the 6yr old going on 25:lmao:)

Now if they did something more to what a 6yr old boy likes ( Pirates, Toy Story, Star Wars etc) maybe we would do more character meals, but what do I know:confused3

I would bet you though that any of the ones I mentioned would be booked solid everyday:confused3

tammy and briana just got home with brianas 19th birthday present.

for you guys who cant read it, it says dad is the greatest. :lmao:

They would be booked, but it would not steal business away from the others. My oldest is now 10, but both dds still love the princesses. I like the 8:00 AM breakfasts because I can get into the parks before they open. Walking up main street before the park opens is just an amazing experience.

Here's one at Epcot. It is still really cool, but not as much as MK.

My AK one is somewhere else. Maybe one day I will outgrow them.
