Is the percoset for dealing with the surgery or for dealing with work?

Work is easy. Feeling like your dice are in a vice all day is not. It's for the surgery. Excuse me... procedure.

Checking in.

Don't have the time to catch up on 50+ pages, so I hope all is going well.

I just found out I may be attending a conference in Orlando Nov 11 -14. I hope it goes through, because it will be my only Disney trip this year. We can't afford to do one (properly) this year, so we are saving for a nice stay in 2013.

Why thank you.

I do play nice and make use of them... from time to time.

And oh yeah - you said yourself that Dave & I are untouchable... so I will continue to remove myself from blame. :sad2: It's Randall's fault. Not mine. :rotfl:

we are just people persons.:lmao:

:scared1::scared1::scared1:

SLOW DOWN!!!

I answer a couple of phone calls and I'm 3 pages back... and we're not even closing a thread. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Not going to happen, and I wasn't involved in the last 10 pages.

Squirrel!

Where?

Big letdown at our house this weekend. Ever since my kids were born I was looking forward to the day when we would sit down and watch Empire Strikes Back together. I finally decided that this would be a good weekend for that. They were enthralled the whole way through- asking intelligent questions along the way, ooohing and ahhhing at all the appropriate scenes. And then it was time for the big reveal.. I couldn't wait to see their faces when <SPOILER ALERT> we find out that Vader is Luke's dad. This was the greatest movie moment of my childhood and I was finally going to share it with my kids!! Went right over their heads... Totally missed it. I even rewinded it for them. Nothing. I asked the 5 yr old if he learned the "big secret" at the end of the movie. He throws his hands up in the air and says, "Dad, I don't even know what that movie was about!" I was a little ticked. I wanted to send them to bed without dinner. I'll try again in a few months.

After playing the Lego Wii Star Wars game, mine want to watch all the movies. I have Phantom Menace, but need the others. We have all the POTC movies on DVD. I probably could do the same with Star Wars. Mine like to ask questions during movies - ones they've seen and new ones as well.

You gotta love when conferences are in cool places. I normally have a conference in April in Orlando. Unfortunately, the last two years, it's fallen on the same week that I already take for my DW's Spring Break.

3 years ago, I had my family's Florida vacation, came home for 10 days and went back to Orlando for a conference for 4 more days. It was awesome.

Now I just have my October conference in Las Vegas. Not bad, but not near WDW.

I'm still working on hitting 1000. :sad2: Apparently I don't talk enough for this group.

I'm closing in on 2k I think; But if talking is what counts I'm probably only at 10-20 posts, the rest are pictures of bacon and Admiral Ackbar... :rotfl:

You set the bar high. I still can aspire.

In our company its a multiplier. Of course the base is always zero, but I'm 4 times the zero you are! :headache:

I think that is a wonderful compliment.

Zerf, I think you just jumped into a brand new category here. (and stop dreaming about my jigglies) :lmao:

Hi guys, seems like i am falling farther and farther behind. I think i posted 3 time two threads ago. Missed the whole last thread. And this is my first post on this thread. You guys are flying!!

Back from Disney World and all i gotta say is Do Not Go To Disney When they are having a DANCE COMPETITION at ESPN. Went from a crowd rating of 1-2 to 4-6. Sucked!! I know we could have been dealing 10's but getting spoiled with 1-2's the having to wait for rides that were walk on earlier just stunk. Teen bopper girls everywhere. And I thought the Brazillion's of Brazilians took their trips in the summer? They were everywhere too. Caribbean beach food court went from 2 people in line to 20.

Also peeved the MK fire dept isn't a fire dept anymore.

Have to finish my last TR so i can get working on this one.

Star Wars debate

So my DD8 is excited to see the re-release of Episode I in 3D which is great as I truly believe that the complete saga is the best collection of cinema ever compiled. My dilemma is surrounded by the fact that some how Mr. Lucas allowed the likes of Jar-Jar Binks to defile this collection of perfection. How do I address this travesty:

1) distract the entire theater durring his time on screen?
2) conveniently scheduled potty break?
3) hijack the film and splice out Mr. Binks entirely?

I've got two Vegas conferences this year. One at the Aria, and the other probably at Mandalay Bay. It's not as much fun as it was the first time or two. All in all, this will probably make 10 shows I've had to attend out there. We usually have decent entertainment and I like eating on the company's dime, but I'd rather be home. But two years ago, there was a smaller conference but it was in Orlando- that was nice. I'd been requesting Orlando on my comment card for years and they finally listened!

No one said meaningful contributions. We just may be on DDC 2 if that were a requirement.

Don't feel so bad. After Darth Vader cut his hand off, my son asked if Luke could eat yogurt to make it grow back(I'm not kidding). We wrote that down and now have the quote hanging in our kitchen. He was 6 when he asked it. Talk about missing the point and a complete non sequitur to boot.

The last 2 years I've gone to Vegas for this same conference. Both times I stayed at the Mirage.

Not ever having been to Vegas before, the first time I went it was just OK. I tried to find someone there to hang out with at night that had been there to show me the sites but wasn't successful.

Last year I had a cousin of mine come along. He's been to Vegas numerous times and he took me out at night and showed me around. We had a great time.

I hinted to him the other day that he needed to start making plans for this October and he said that he didn't think his DW would let him go again without her.
