Finally found a Webelos troop for DS and the first meeting is tonight. We will see how it goes. Hope he likes it better than I did because we don't have many options for him around here.

That is how I convinced the wife to let me buy a PS3. Blue ray and gaming all in one. Win win.

Oh, she wants the bluray just fine, just we can't rationalize having to buy a new tv to make it worth our while. The whole reason we got the Xbox was for Disneyland Adventures, she wanted it bad, so I got an Xbox for Christmas

Ooooooh! The Doc has taken a psyc rotation! I drive a 97 Toyota Camry with 160K. There's a 2002 Dodge Caravan with 175K in the garage for WDW trips (and for DW to drive right now because she doesn't want to buy new tired for her car). She has a 2004 Pontiac Astek with under 100K. What does that mean I'm compensating for?

Let's see, high mileage cars would seem to be compensating for a lack of sufficient funds to buy new. Very common these days. As to having a Pontiac Aztek in the stable, i think that would be compensating for a lack of taste in things automotive. Yikes.

And on my prayer update, thank you all for your prayers for that baby whose father was deployed. The baby is doing very well (and I think so is the father!)

Yeah, somewhat. He's never been a very talkative guy so just getting a few words out of him is an achievement. But he seems ok, from what I could tell.

it has been a while going through a rough time now with all the basic things in life that it is throwing our way . hoping to be able to start posting again .
with this being said I was watching Dinner , drive ins and dives he went to a place where you can have a hot wrapped in bacon and fried what more can a man ask for .

I did see that Mark got his FIL back home though, so I guess that's some good news. I'm glad you were able to make the road trip and bring him home.

We don't have an hd tv but now we are ready if we do plus then we can start getting blue rays............. and i get to play ps3 games

When the time comes, we'll go all out and overhaul everything. Our DVD player is part of the surroundsound system, and frankly, is in perfect working order, even after 10 years TV is around the same age.

Sadly, we never have a lot of time for games anymore. Haven't turned them on in over a week. DW is excited though, Mario Party 9 comes out for the Wii next month, she loves that series, so I know the Wii will get some love soon...
