And here we are, once again - another milestone. Tonight I reach 13,000 posts.

As I read in the news just days ago, the same number of jobs that American Airlines is looking to cut now that they've filed for bankruptcy.

I know that speeches have come to be expected with milestones around here, but I'm going to keep it relatively short and sweet tonight.

I enjoy hanging out here. I enjoy sharing my love for, and knowledge of the Disney parks with you all. I enjoy sharing my photos with you all (and bugging Norm at the same time and getting and giving gentle ribbing about it here and there). I have enjoyed meeting more than a baker's dozen of you in person in the parks and elsewhere. I have developed some cool friendships with several of you offline, and it's really neat to be able to call or text at almost any time and be able to talk. I like it here, and am glad that even in this sometimes crazy, wacky, bacon-scented place, we can all get along and have fun.

I look forward to sharing more posts, stories, tips, tricks and yes... photos.. with you all in the future.

Tonight is mt DD's American Heritage Girls Valentine party

We are going to get all dressed up and then go play some games make some crafts and hang out with their friends.

Looks like most of the blogging was here last night! Nights like last night I was glad for a Tivo that lets you record more than one thing and more than 1 TV downstairs. Went from Walking Dead to Downton Abbey with the Grammys on in the other room!

they are complaining there that it is only 30. DW is on another board (yes we are not the only ones talking Disney) and someone posted that their children refused Mickey ice cream because it was tooooo cooooold.

Or a Dole Whip. Man, I'd give a lot for that weather right now...

My but what a pile of posts we’ve built up in past day or so. I saw a run of “Without Canada” offerings and a discussion on the competitive nature that drives the post count races.

Was there anything else back there that I should really hunt down?

My son accumulated a ton of tickets in the arcade, and the prize he chose? A very nice, authentic poker chip set, with a beautiful locking case. He was pumped, and turned to me and said, "Dad! Now we can play poker and not have to use Annie's crayons!"

Yes… but isn’t there just something far more apropos about playing poker with your kids by using “Annie’s Crayons” rather then a shinny new set of poker chips.

As my DW says to me almost daily… “I want my little boy back”
(well… she does, I have a different agenda).

Did 12 hours of driving to Lynchburg, VA and back yesterday. So tired...

But it was a successful extraction. My FIL is back home. Seems to be doing well.

And here we are, once again - another milestone. Tonight I reach 13,000 posts.

Congrats Christopher! I'm very glad my family and I got the chance to meet you and yours. And I like to give you crap, but I do really like the Disney pictures.

However, DW has to take DD to her 4 year check up this morning, which means shots. DD hates shots more than anything, and specifically makes sure there will be no shots of any sort before agreeing to even get in the car with DW and go to the doctors, so this should be... interesting...

In contrast, being in the office isn't so bad.
