Yummmmmmmmm!!!

DW just IM'd me to say that we got a Disney DVD in the mail today. She said as soon as the kids saw it they went off to search the house to see if they could find enough money that we can go. Man I really hope they find enough....

Cool.

Do you know if the DVD is new for 2012?

I just ordered one the other day as well.

I'd love to have seen a video of that moment as it transpired.

Um... if they succeed, is there any chance I could borrow them for a couple of hours? I just can't seem to find enough to fund our next trip. :lmao::rotfl2:

If you can, have breakfast at Riverbelle Terrace, one of my favorites even before I worked there (2 weeks while the location I was at was being rehabbed).

Food choices are slim in the two parks, but I will admit bias as I was food service there. The La Brea Bakery in DTD has some nice offerings, and across Harbor Blvd is a restaurant called Mimi's Cafe that we try to eat at at least once.

Thanks Andrew. I heard good things about La Brea. Have to try Mimi's

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Jan. 30, 2012) - It’s a slam dunk! The Cats beat the Gators 1,854 to 1,826 in the fourth annual Big Blue Slam blood drive which was held throughout the week of Jan. 23-27.

“It’s great to know we can count on the Big Blue Nation to not only beat Florida but save lives, too," said Martha Osborne, executive director of Marketing & Recruitment for Kentucky Blood Center (KBC). "The blood donated last week will touch the lives of thousands of Kentuckians. Thanks to everyone who participated.”

Big Blue Slam is a friendly blood collection competition between Kentucky and Florida fans and KBC and LifeSouth Community Blood Center in Gainesville. The Wildcats take on Florida in Rupp Arena Feb. 7 and again in Gainesville March 4.

Kentucky now leads the rivalry 3 to 1.

It wasn't exactly a landslide but am disappointed in Gator Nation though. Maybe need a recount. As a long time blood donor, I know what an impact these drives have on people who need blood. Looking forward to the UF/UK games but I will be out of the country for the first one.

Afternoon Guys. DW got into a fender bender this morning, although now all cars are plastic and it sould be refered to as a plastic cracker. Everybody is fine except my wallet.:rotfl:

Glad she is OK. Know the feeling about the wallet though.

So after being up with Christopher at 4:45am till 5:45am then back up with him at 6:15am, I decided today would be a great day to go get an oil change since Melody was going into work late. I pull up to the garage of the quick change and I lean over to unlock the passenger door since they give you a full service carwash after- vacuum, windows, etc... Anyways, I lean over to unlock the door when I look up my van is rolling forward towards the door. I tried to hit the break but my foot skimmed the accelerator first and I bashed into the door. The mechanic was standing at the door opening it and the door hit into him. He was ok and just received a bruise on his shin. The cops came and took a report and now I'm waiting to hear the estimate of the cost to fix the door. I have no idea why I didn't put my truck in park. Maybe I was just exhausted. Maybe I'm just an idiot. I hope the rest of my day gets better.

Man that sucks.

Wish you luck nothing. I'm sending all my wishes to Juliana. See if Cj's daughter has a spare crash helmet she can borrow.

Who started these rumors about Crash? Oh wait, that was me. Going to tell her be extra careful driving home today.

Taking out garage doors ownage!

You can have it. After all it is well deserved.

Bacon

It was a sneaky stealth drive by.

Bacon cheddar burger for dinner last night and a BLT for lunch today. The tomato was an heirloom and delicious. Good eating.

Man I really hope they find enough....We need to devise a way to shake our couch and invite more wealthy people over.

There was a show on in the 90's I think where they would invite people over and them shake them when they sat on the couch to get their money. It may have been a commerical for something. It's vague but it is the best I've got for a Monday :lmao:

Good luck in their search. Maybe if you can devise the couch shaker you could patent it and make enough money to go all the time.

Ugh. Sorry to hear that.

Thanks. You'll have to check out Andy's Trip Report for the origin of that picture.

(Andy - you're welcome for the TR plug. :thumbsup2)

Nice work on the plug! Oh, and nice avatar, too.

Man, this really is a Monday. I haven't had a car accident (yet), just aggravating phone calls. It's not everyday you get a phone call from someone who "just wants to b@#$% at you."

Yes I did. We went while we were in San Diego.

I see a Double Double there and thanks for the new desktop wallpaper.

Excellent!

While you’re talking to you “business contact” in the afternoon, see if you can’t convince him that his organization needs to sponsor the upcoming DDC convention and to offer up a complimentary three or four day Park-Hopper while he’s at it.
I'll see what I can do, but it is usually me doing all the talking??:confused3

That's cool. DD just asked when we are going back, LOVE IT!

Can't wait to see the original.

Sorry, think Soarin is Borin. Will probably do it anyway.

Food plans. Top sit down and counter service there. The only one that I am definitely going to do is Napa Rose. Avoiding Bayou. Feel free to answer after a good night's sleep.

Enjoy.

Why don't you want to do Blue Bayou CJ? It's my favorite restaurant in DL.

That is scary. I've been feeling like that for a week. Christopher has been waking up every 1/2 an hour to an hour every night. I guess he doesn't like this teething thing. :sad2:

Ouch. I feel your pain though; PJ started sleeping 8 hours/night a month or so ago, until the last week when he decided to go back into wake up randomly throughout the night to eat patterns.

Here's to hoping both start sleeping for long stretches!

WHAT!!!!! A must do every trip. And, at Epcot, I would pick it over Mission Space and Testtrack.

I had him in another fantasy league and he did well for me. It might have been all those stud QBs Miami had.

MS is my favorite ride at WDW. After waiting an hour to ride Soarin the first time, I was like is that it? A movie about California in Florida? Maybe if they update it I would like it better.

Marshall was OK on stats but when the Phins needed to get a first down or a TD, he would drop more than he caught. Stud QBs. That was funny (and hurts because it is true). Not the QB's fault though if it hits him in the hands and a millisecond later it is on the ground.

Heard mixed revues about it. Many, many years ago did DL and ate there. Enjoyed the Monte Christo. Maybe will reconsider.

I've got to agree with you. I enjoy it, and I always make time to ride it once, but I think it is a little overrated and not worth 1 hr + in line. If they would do something to update it, or maybe make it have multiple destinations like the new Star Tours, that would make it much more re-rideable, IMO.

Ate there last April, the gumbo was wonderful as well as everything else.

Agreed!

I hope both young’ens find a better sleeping pattern as well, and soon. I don’t miss those nights. All our friend, relatives and neighbors used to brag that their kids started “sleeping though” as early as six-weeks. All we could do was smile and nod and say things like: “Good for y’all”, because the truth in our house was that DS would not sleep through regularly for nearly eighteen months. That was a long year and a half. Hopefully I took that hit for the team and you won’t have anywhere near the same problem.

It is the 2012 DVD. I don't remember ordering it but I'm happy its here.

depending on how successful they are I might be willing to loan/rent them out.

Yuck. I'm not a fan of people wanting to yell at you.

I thought Blue Bayou looked like a neat experience. We opted to not do it because we were trying to save money but I'd be curious why CJ dislikes it too.

I would be one of those parents who would tell you our DS was sleeping through the night by about 2 months. What I would then have to tell you 2 years later is that at about 1 year, he suddenly became a night owl AND an early bird. He doesn't much care for sleeping much before a time that ends with AM, and he likes to be awake to see the sun rise. I could deal with that if I was allowed to take a nap about an hour or 2 after I woke up too. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

That’s… not going to be pretty. Hopefully it won’t be as bad as my imagination (and standard business practices) would lead me to believe.
Yuuuuuup! I'm on hold with them right now... waiting to hear what they have to say. OK well they got an estimate of $2262.00 That's an expensive door. :faint: I guess i won't be paying out of pocket and just let the insurance take care of it.

tim, sorry to hear about the garage door.
Thanks Dave. I'm just glad no one was hurt.

:headache: That sucks. It makes it even worse when you know it is something you could have prevented. Must be a good day to not even leave the house.
You aren't kidding. I should of just stayed home. :sad2:

Christian and Tim - sorry to hear about you vehicle mishaps. At least no one was hurt.
Glad to hear you are Ok Tim :thumbsup2
Thanks fellas....

Man that sucks.
::yes::

Drive home safely. It's one of those days.

Just when you think they have a pattern they totally change.

Here's to hoping both start sleeping for long stretches!
I'll drink to that! :drinking1

It was an extremely enjoyable experience.

That looks delicious!!! Now I'm hungry- thanks.

I think a daily siesta would be good for the work force in general (It’d certainly do me some good). Of course I wouldn’t dare to go as far as to actually suggest such a thing. I’d be labeled unpatriotic very quickly.

Speaking of being unpatriotic… I believe it’s time to head home, so I think I’ll be selfish and actually do just that.

Later on…
