....
We just had a great time in the snow with DD. The snow was a little fluffy so not good for snowballs or snowmen but she helped  me shovel. I burried her in the snow which she pretended was a race car. She did not want to come in but I got her up early ever day this week and I new she needed to take a long nap. ...

Great photo! Enjoy every minute, the years pass far too quickly.

I follow it on most everything except Fisney vacations.

I have the same weakness. My wife however does not let me get away with it anymore. I had her talked into a quick getaway in a few weeks but before I booked she asked me how much. She then muttered something about finising the basement and now we are not going.

wow!!! i have a hard time logging on anymore.:sad2: since i cant post on the dis, at least i have tv.

In my prayers!

Love that my Jayhawks are beating Texas on the road, but I could do without the cardiac workout they're giving me along the way.

will be praying

Dave certainly will be praying for this youg man and his family!!! Very unusual for a 19 year old to suffer a stroke like that.

his girl friend is friends with briana and she told briana they removed a blood clot from a major artery in his brain. he has all his movement and as of tonight, his speach is back to normal. tammy and i had a class mate that a week before high school grad. he didnt show up for work. his dad owned a local trucking co and worked for his dad after school. (days before cell phones) his dad tried to call him at home and he wouldnt answer the phone. his dad figured he fell asleep again and went home to drag him out of bed. when he got home, rod was on his bedroom floor, he had a (say it like a spell it) anyourism. he was gone. :sad2: knock on wood, its been its been 29 years since grad. and he is the only classmate we have lost out of 194.

What your describing as how they removed the clot from him brain sounds like one of the procedures we do for stroke patients in our department. You only have 6 hours from the time of onset to get the clot out before permanet damage is done. It sounds like he was in the 6 hour window and things look positive. We will continue to pray for him!

Going 29 years and only losing one class mate is very good! My graduating class only had 118 in it and we have lost 5 that I can think of right off hand..there may be 1 or 2 more not sure. I will never forget our 20th reunion and we were having a moment of silence for the ones we had lost and one of the girls walked in the middle of it ...hav ing had a bit too much to drink...and loudly asked "what the he** is everyone so da** quiet for?" :rotfl2: Oh geez it takes all kids to make a world LOL

Stupid Leafs, scoring at the end of the period. At least Kentucky won this afternoon.

wow, it only took me 35 min. to read about 8 pages and get to the post screen.:woohoo:
fed, have fun fishing this morning. becarefull, that boat trailer gets slick when its wet.popcorn::
ron, i cant tell if your getting any snow, i guess it may be to warm at the shore. if you are getting snow, becarefull driving around.:thumbsup2
i took briana to work this morning at 5:30. we had about three inches on the ground and i had no problem getting her there. that tracker goes through anything.it looks like about 5 -6 inches till it stops. should be done snowing around noon. hopefully i can get back on later on, if not, have a good weekend.:thumbsup2

When I went to work we had about a inch, then it changed to freezing rain for most of the day, when I came home I had a sheet of ice on the windshield, roads were pretty slick, for the last hour it has been snowing (that real fine light stuff), but over the ice it's really slick:eek:

The 3 or 4 inches of snow might have been better, then this mess:rolleyes1

And you let her win? But, if you get a big screen tv and kegerator for the basement, then I guess you win.

They tried to give it away. Good to see someone in Canada with incredible intelligence in college basketball teams.

Left for a meeting at 7:30 this morning and just getting back now. At least DS got to go along. I had to give 3 talks on beekeeping and 2 of the 3 went well. The third after lunch :rotfl2: Me, DS, and two other people only one of whom stayed awake. I questioned the topic when they gave to me and my hunch was correct. No way I can go back and try to catch up though the boards seems a bit quicker than last time I checked in. Happy weekend Dads!

I went about 10 back, got complaints about the speed and some super page ownages/ attempts.

Home from a rough basketball game. Youngest got hit in the eye and first loss of season. We got some ice cream after the game and settling in to watch the Incredibles. Family Saturday night.
