Rough night. DD was coughing so hard she started throwing up. All through the night. Everytime she woke up, "DAAAAADDDYYYYYY!!" Plus, I ripped one of my good t-shirts running into her room (small hole snagged and ripped wide open). Fortunately, she seems to be feeling better this morning.

Good thing I slept in a whole half hour yesterday...I'll need it.

Ugggg.... hope she feels better.

Although AOA will not really be a value resort, prices went up and it is going to cost more than 2 rooms at POP. But it willbe nice to see something there from pop besides a hole in the ground.

It's still Value-priced for that room size. Family Suites have always cost more than two separate Value rooms (there some some Family Suites at All-Star Music already, the popularity of which is a big part of what drove the construction of Art of Animation). The Family Suites include some amenities that are not otherwise included in standard Value Rooms, like the refrigerator and microwave.

I was waiting for you. How many bus stops at AoA?

AoA is set up the same way that POP is. It was, afterall, originally supposed to be the "other half" of POP, the Legendary Years. But of course with 9/11 that and the subsequent downfall in tourism that plan was scuttled. It only took them 10 years to finally resurrect that site and redo the design for what we will be seeing as AoA... and thankfully they did redo it by adding in a whole lot of Family Suites. When completed, there will be 1120 Family Suites, vs. 864 traditional rooms. The success at ASMu certainly made them see they needed more in the value category.

Maybe for return trips. But I can't imagine first morning buses will have room to make a second stop. They fill up REALLY quick at POP.

Tis true, they do fill up quickly - but they fill-up quickly at Kidani Village as well, and still have to stop at Jambo House before heading out. Both are part of the same resort - granted POP & AoA will "technically" now be two resorts, they're still part of the same overall "resort area". Many routes for the All-Stars do the same thing - between either Sports & Music, or Music & Movies, or all three. Current thinking, from those in the know I've spoken with, is that the resorts will share buses. As the resort phases continue to open, that may change - and of course Disney can change their own thinking at any time - but sticking with the original concept of AoA just completing the original POP site master plan - expect there to be one route with two stops.

Still two stops isn't bad.

No, and it just fits right in with every other resort and resort category. It's either a really large resort with 4-6 stops, or multiple resorts lumped together (i.e. the Epcot Area resort loop). Yes Disney will provide transportation, but they are all about efficiency and the bottom line. They're not going to just suddenly be benevolent and gracious adding all kinds of new buses to the system just because they open a new resort. They're going to continue to see how they can provide transportation without increasing the bottom line adversely. They'll continue to use those screeners at key places to help with re-routing buses when needed - but they won't bring on a whole bunch of new equipment and CM's - only what's absolutely needed.

Good Morning David!

Good Morning Men!

Pop is our Resort of choice. We just need a bed and shower, we're in the parks all day and don't hang around the resort. The biggest plus for Pop is the buses. In the morning get on the bus go to park, no other stops. At night, get on bus go to Pop, again no other stops. :thumbsup2

We decided to go with Pop Century for our trip in March. We've never stated at any of the Pop hotels and are looking forward to this one nighter!

POP is my favorite of the Value category. The All-Stars don't do much for me - I've stayed at both Music & Movies. BUT, we can't stay there as a family because a) we're a family of 5, b) DW doesn't care for it because it is not as lushly landscaped as mods, deluxes or DVC resorts, and c) as a family we stick with DVC resorts since we joined DVC several years back. I have no problem staying there when I go solo however.

I hope the games today aren't as slow as the Dis is right now... :confused3

Are you referring to activity or server speed? My posts took almost 2 minutes to post and other sites are loading up without issue for me :confused3

Happy Sunday all!

Yes. Yes I am. :thumbsup2

Looks like Jacoby Jones isn't ready for football. Or, someone needs to check his bank to see if he put money on the Ravens. Really inexcusable at this level to fumble one return and not advance another. Time to send him to the airport - NOW!
