I]

I just dropped DS at a birthday party. Home to shovel the driveway then out to pick him up.

We had friends coming over for dinner tonight, had to cancel DW is coming down with a cold or flu.

Okay so here goes my crazy plan to save $100 on my family trip..
Originally I booked CL Poly, regular dining, 8 days park hopper for 5 people.
With the 30% spring rate.

Here's what I changed to.

With the advice of the super DisDads podcast host Ajritz
Bought annual passes.
Booked poly cl with the AP discount.
And changed to quick service dining.
Then we will get the Tables in Wonderland card which will save us 20% on table service.
After all that it comes to a little over $100 cheaper.

Now, I am definately going to the DisDads convention.. Saving $500 in tickets for me and the wife. And we are going to go back with the family 9 days earlier than this year!! Saving over $1600 in tickets!!

That's a total savings of over $2100 in one year!:cool1:

Hey guys. Great to hear about the DisDads convention! Well done Aaron.

Beautiful day today, took the kids for lunch and dessert in Boston. Was great to be able to walk around without being bundled up and slipping on ice everywhere!

Given any thought to a netbook? The screens can be a bit small, but if you're not doing much with them, they're much cheaper than a laptop... I haven't used one, but have heard decent reviews...

i never looked into one, but i think im going to. im not nuts about a small sceen. ive seen here and there lap tops for under $400.00. tammy has an h.p. and seems to like it. now brianas new h.p had a new mother board installed after 3 months. i have here old dell and it never gave us any problems till now. it is 4 years olds and i guess in computer years, thats like having an 8 trak in your car. :rotfl2:

Just finished a family pizza dinner (we make our own pizzas and watch old disney movies :thumbsup2) and DD turns to me and DW and says;

"Ya know, this is going to be a back story too someday."

Confused DW and I look at eachother, then ask where she heard that. Her response?

"Doofenshmirtz."

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

True! :rotfl2:`:rotfl2:

The netbooks look like a great deal, if the screen works for you.

I have a Lenovo laptop at my office, and that has been great for 2-3 years now. I think they have a lot of them in the $300- $500 price range...

Use a macbook at home, and love it. :thumbsup2

Awe I feel so welcome..:thumbsup2

I did notice they add 18% gratuity to table service meals! Does that really go to the wait staff? If so is that all they will expect?? Do I have to feel guilty about
Not giving 20% gratuity? :confused3

Look for pretty much any brand name.

I would suggest an intel processor, minimum i3 with minimum 4 gigs ram (but preferably 6 or 8), windows 7.

Should run you around $450.

Yep!! We live on 16 and locust.. We could meet up and do lunch.. Or look at the big brass bell.. :rotfl2:

I really like wills eye!! They are very professional.. And nice. I love the fact that every year they have a "wills eye ball" for the doctors and staff..:rotfl:

I have an Asus EEE PC 1000 netbook that I bought at Toys R Us for $200 3 years ago. It's screen is as large as an Ipad with a keyboard. It has a 7.5 GB and Windows XP. I don't keep anything saved on it, but a networked it into my desktop where I have everything stored. It is great to take on trips, check email, Disboards, etc. And, it was a great price. It's speed is a little slow at times, but it was exactly what I needed and could afford.

There are some small DVC contracts at the TSS. I am trying to talk DW into a 30 point BLT contract. We will see.
