Who needs a hotel? You've got perfectly good seats in the car.
Been there done that. We ended up staying at lake Buena vista in down town Disney, hung out till our room was ready at POP and toured DVC.. Then headed to MK and closed the park. Having fun and frustration with my new camera but all in all a good day. Doin EPCOT tomorrow and the crowds are only supposed to be at a three.

Sign me up. I put all the Dad info. on the DIS Dads introduction board but I will give a quick recap.

My name is Nick. I live in Ocean Springs, MS with my wife of 7 years and our 3 children (2 girls - 5 and 3/ 1 boy - 1). We have been to WDW 3 times since we married and have our 4th trip planned for Feb. 2013. Our family loves everything Disney and I am the biggest fanatic of the bunch. Its nice to see I am not alone in this obsession.

Oh, my birthday is May 9th.

Welcome Nick :cool1:

Nemesis

Without Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker would still be sowing the crops on Tatooine.

Without Lex Luther, Superman would just be Clark Kent the mild mannered reporter from Metropolis.

Without The Evil Queen's obsession with Snow White, we'd all be jipped of hours of family entertainment and a new Mine Car ride in the Fantasyland Expansion.

Without Skar, ok we'd likley still have Mufasa, but even so... he still lit a fire under Simba's butt, and made him step up and do the right thing regaining his place as king of the pride lands

There have been many nemesises through history, here are just a few more:
Tom and Jerry
Fire and Ice
Batman and The Joker
Aladdin and Jaffar
The Yankees and The Red Sox
Agent P and Doofenshmirtz
The Hatfields and The Mccoys
Coke and Pepsi
Norm and Deodorant

What I am trying to say is, without a Nemesis, the heroes identity can easily be lost.

So in order to Hang on to My identity as Hero of all, and Controller of the universe, yeah... he is a little scared, I assure you. I need a NEMESIS.

And Scott has filled that role quite well.

So Happy Birthday Nemesis, and here's hoping you have another 100 more to come... unless of course that brake line fails unexpectedly... It could happen!!!

Bravo!!! You even got a dig in on my nemesis :rotfl2:

Happy Birthday Scott!

There is no way you can smell me from Canada. And besides, just to show your in-intelligence, Superman appeared before Lex Luthor. Check your facts. So, if you got that wrong ...

Peanut Butter Beverly!!!!

Left my kindle on the airplane!!!

Bummer. Ask Brian for a solution and do the opposite. That is sure to get you results. :confused3

Referring to the Heat win. It was a good game. It really is fun to watch LeBron and Durant play. I never have liked the format of the finals. I wish they had left it 2-2-1-1-1

Who needs a hotel? You've got perfectly good seats in the car.

I've thought about doing that - pulling over in the rest area to get a couple hours of sleep in the car on the way to WDW. DW says that it is not safe, so I just drive thru the night, she gives me a hour or two nap while she drives, and we make it that one day. I am really tired that first day, but at least we are at WDW.

Have a great trip. We had fairly good luck with crowds during our June visit to WDW.

Happy Friday Morning All!

Happy Birthday Scott and Welcome Nick!

DS has his Survivor themed grade 5 celebration tonight. His last big event at his elementary school and he is pretty excited, even got up on his own this morning. The parents are allowed to be there for the first out and then they are voted off the school grounds until 10:30. We can then return for some fireworks and to pick up the kids. After next Thursday, Declan will be a middle schooler!

Given Brian's usual excessive hot air, James' performance on the Leap Year Closure thread, my nemesis, and my 10 hour absence, let's hope this closure is sooner than later.

Or, you need to go on another trip.

Another major trip would be good, but won’t be happening. We are going to spend a couple of days doing a small fraction of my originally planned road trip, but its only a few days and I doubt that it will be TR worthy.

I do however need to get busy on finishing my “Macys” TR though so that I can at least get id done before the next parade kicks off. Now that I’m not trying to do two at one, that should be a lot easier.
