eventful day:

DD gave her phone number to a boy at school today. I am installing a deadbolt on her bedroom door and bars on her window tomorrow. Also applying for a firearms license.

And... as a long suffering Mets fan, I am giddy to be the proud vicarious owner of a No Hitter!! Thanks Johan!!

Sent out the numbers that we will hopefully have tomorrow, someone let me know if you got it, just want to make sure:confused3

If I had a DD I would be cleaning it when he came over, ask him if he hunts, if he does ask him for what:confused3, but either way tell him that you hunt something crazy like crickets:lmao:

Pretty excited about this... When my new truck was in the shop after the wreck,I talked to them about doing some painting on my old truck. It is a 1993 Chevy that I bought about 3 Weeks after I turned 16. A few years ago I was in a wreck with it and tore up the front end. I tore it down and rebuilt it, but I don't do paint. It isn't my primary vehicle so I didn't worry much about it and drive it with a primer and rust colored hood for about 3 years. I got the hood and part of the right front fender painted and a couple of dents in the bed fixed. It looks great and I'm pumped about it. The second picture shows the door which is old paint as well as the new paint on the hood and fender. Taking care of the truck and keeping it waxed had really paid off... Can't even tell the old paint from new. I just had to share, because I drove that thing home with one of the biggest smiles I've ever had on my face.

I can tell by the reflection of your son and yourself that they did a Great Job, you don't always get that affect:thumbsup2, Looks really nice:banana:

I have started a new pre-trip report for June of 2013. The link is in my signature. ....Yes I said June of 2013, actually June 2 to be more precise so exactly 1 year away. Is this too early to start a pre-trip report? We couldn't take a trip this year because of the new baby and because of this DW and I are having major withdrawals. I figured the best way to get through the withdrawals is to kick the planning into high gear for next June. Also, there is the possibility of other family members joining us which means more planning for us to do prior to the trip, so I guess I should get started! I am not near as exciting in the Trip Report category as most of you guys, but I try. I hope you enjoy!

Evening guys

Had a little excitement this evening, had a tornado on the ground about 20 minutes from the house, small town called Elizabeth City. Fast moving storm that missed us to the north. That was few hours ago. Just walked outside, its 75 and mostly sunny now. Go figure.

Matt

Glad it missed you. We had a tornado about 5 miles north of us on Tuesday evening. The big threat that night though was 5 inch diameter hail that was part of the accompanying storm. Luckily it missed our home. My sister did get pelted though...she took a baseball size hail stone to her car windshield (shattered) and to her head. I don't know why she was outside with baseball size hail falling, but I guess she learned her lesson! Anyways...glad you all are ok!

Morning all..

What did you do to provoke it??

Apparently just waslked by it's tree? I walk that route at least once a week, and all week when I work nights (if I head home from dropping Amelia off, as opposed to heading to work.) IT was raining failry hard, and wind was gusting, so maybe it was aggrivating it, who knows? It percieved me as a threat anyhow. :lmao:

A story from AP Mobile:
Ky. woman indicted in shooting death
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A Louisville woman has been charged with murder for the shooting death of another woman while police were investigating a pair of deaths up the street. A Jefferson County grand jury on Thursday indicted 24-year-old Cheetara Goldsmith. The charge stems from the May 17 shooting death of Makeba Lee in the Parkland neighborhood. Louisville Courier-Journal

Apparently, someone's mother was a big Thundercats fan.

Man, another case of a celebrity who goes rock-bottom after they can't find work...:sad2::lmao: First OJ, now this.

Ended up only working half a shift last night. Wasn't feeling too well in the end so I decided to cut my losses and head home. Had a nasty toothache and a fairly upset stomach. Figured if I was going home anyways, we decided to load the car and come to Sarnia last night as opposed to this morning, made it easier for us. Tooth isn't too bad today so far, but not feeling super, but this is a relaxing weekend anyways, I can take it easy.

This is post 2000! Having a lot of fun around here and really appriciate you guys and always looking forward to seeing what happens next here. THanks for letting me vent the past year or so about all the work issues I've had, I am sure it's gotta get tedious after a while, (lord knows it feels that way to me) BUt you guys always make it seem not so bad, shown me other workplaces can be just as rough, and make me laugh about it later. Also, I can "go to Disney" through you all, since as DW painted out, there are still 440 more days till we check in next year :headache: That's a long time without Dole Whips or Haunted Mansions to visits. BUt the persepctives I've gained for future trips are great!

Cheers!:drinking1

Sorry to hear about the toothache, congrats on 2K, sorry about the 440. It will be there soon.

Good looking truck.

Just came back from dropping of DW and DD up north for a girl guide camping weekend.

Oh, and it cold and hasn't stopped raining all day.

They're gonna freeze... I told DW on the way up, that it's not to late to change her mind.

DOesn't it snow all the time in Canada?

ugh... was hoping for one more week. My paycheck was screwed up this week and now i don't think I have the funds available to pull the trigger. I wonder if Undercover Tourist adjusts their prices the same time, or if they lag a bit behind.
:

Still debating AP. I'm on the clock.
