I just listened to the theme song from the Fall Guy on the ABC Commissary Loop. D-Cot is great. DW didn't go for the cancelling cable and play disney songs all the time.

Not that I'm trying to push dtuneslive over d-cot, but help me understand. You get a queue of 10 songs at a time? Then what? Add 10 new ones? Does it stream constantly or do you have to maintain it? With dtuneslive, I can just set it and forget it.

My family and I fly out to Orlando in 5 days...I can't wait. I'm looking forward to my first Dolewhip!:cool1:
And your second, and your third.... Seriously, as long as you're there ya might as well load up.:goodvibes

Okay, have a good day all, off to make the world safe from sobriety. Should be a challenging night, it's a major prom weekend. Gonna have to check them IDs a little more carefully. :sad2:

Looks like I am posting like it's 1999 :)

Good luck out there. And we'll be waiting on #2,000...

I put myself thru college and I plan for my dds to as well. I know it is more expensive now but they will have 2 years in their ESA. They can use my university benefit. But, real life experience teaches them more than anything. DW went on student loans and we are still paying on then as a result.

Congrats on the good footing you have for your young’ens.

I put myself through as well, but it wasn’t near as expensive on back there in the Stone Age (and I settled for a local Tech school as well). I do expect him to work, but minimum wage won’t help that much either and the internships that he’ll be needing to establish himself won’t pay anything. We don’t have an ESA, but there are a couple other things we did to help with this (of course the last several years of downturn have damaged much of that plan, but you can’t really predict those things). Some folks win… some folks loose (we get to loose). However, we are well into the process of searching for grants and attempting to pit a couple of different institutions agenst one and other. Will any of this be successful? Don’t know but we’re trying. If loans become necessary, they may be in his name, but we’ll be making somewhere between some and most of the payments. At this point in history I’ve already been deprived of any possibility of retirement, so I intend to take as much of the financial hit in the near term to ensure that my boy has at least a chance at a future in the long term.

Because… that’s what you do.

Does he want to go to Delaware instead? :confused3

That’s not exactly what he had in mind.

Let’s just say it is music related and involves a lot of extra work in the spring along with an entire summer of rehearsals, competitions, bus travel and sleeping on gym floors. I suspect that I’m greatly boring the vast majority of you already, so I’ll spear you the geeky details.

You can hit play and run thru all the songs, or if you just want a particular 10 songs, then you add them there. I'll check out dtuneslive as well. Will that one play nice with mobile devices without flash?

I'm afraid I wouldn't know anything about that. Whatever the opposite of tech savvy is, that's me. Tech illiterate?

I just listen to it through my pc at work.

Old man talk....
I got a new scrip from my doctor for my cholesterol medicine because he was not happy with how the other one was working. Took it to get filled and they wanted $158
Ooooh.. Thanks for reminding me, Duck; I gotta refill my mail-order meds. And I ain't that old, dagnabbit! Ah, bacon, how I miss thee.....
And cheese
and beef
and butter
and all kinds of good stuff that turn the walls transparent ;)
Morning men. Here's hoping today will be better than yesterday, cuz yesterday sucked.
I like that.. Might tack it up on a cube wall around here.
They say "The Navy floats on 3 things: Paper, Coffee, and Water, in that order" That's true, and I am up to my ears in electronic paper. Why did they let the Yard talk them into physical sign-offs?? [/RANT]
Got an email last night that we were having an Organizational Announcement meeting this morning...
Dude.
Good Luck.. Been through a few of those myself. ALL of them spelled trouble. One of 'em found me living in Tampa 6 months later.
<ETA> Glad that turned out OK for you.
Got the laptop out and have been jamming to D-cot.com. Highly recommend it.
Do they have the background loop from Caribbean Beach? That's probably why I like that place so much... they have Buffett songs in their mood music!
overwhelmed, mostly. Also, slightly panicked.
Congrats, anyway!
Find this sign... stop... order.
I was THIS >><< CLOSE to getting an Orange Swirl in April, when something happened with DS or DGramPa, or something, and I had to get out of the line. Never made it back there before we left. I WANT A DO-OVER OF THAT VACATION!!!! We didn't get to do a lot of what we had planned, and I was more stressed out after it than before it! :scared1: DW says Mardi Gras would be a good time to go. I hear dat!

Listening to Buffett right now! I hear he's also on the play list at Old Key West.

Lucky sod... I gotta rip my CDs and put 'em on my phone... or Google Music. So much to do, so little time.
Yeah, it makes sense he'd be in rotation at OKW. I'd imagine he'd be on the list at Port Orleans, too. At least the French Quarter side, considering how often he's played bars around here... there... whatever.

Funny. Just as I read your post, "Wino and I know" came on which is mostly set in New Orleans.
"Coffee's strong at the Cafe Du Monde
Donuts are too hot to touch..."

Go Get Her, Ray! :thumbsup2

This will be my first Star Wars Weekend....any tips from the DISDads? :confused3

May the force be with you!

It is official.

Can I hedge my bets and say "congrats" on one, and "good luck" for the other??

To top it off, I got attacked by a bird while passing the library. Little bugger pecked me in the head!:rotfl2: Might hide under the covers till it's safe :lmao:

What did you do to provoke it??

So DW and the kids get home from a little shopping trip to Barnes and Noble yesterday, and what is DD holding when she walks in the door? The Official Guide to Disneyland and Los Angeles, Day by Day. DW said she could plan an upcoming vacation. I think I know where we're going.:banana:

Spam, spam, spam, eggs and spam!

mmmmmm... love me some spam and eggs!!

So even though he/she/it is spam, he/she/it posted on this thread, does that mean we should make he/she/it a member? :confused3

member?... NO. Sponsor? perhaps. (and I mean SPAM, not the individual/entity)

Interesting...not a huge peanut butter fan though (unless it;s Reeses)

I'm with you on the non-reese's PB. DW made "Peanut Butter Cup" cupcakes for me and then complained when I made a face after I took a mouthful of the icing. She said, "but you love peanut butter cups???" Sorry, it wasn't Reese's PB in the icing.

about 4 months until PB cup season!!!

But, I’m just getting more and more jealous of all y’all by the day.

We won’t be heading to any Disney destinations at all this year and considering my son has changed his mind and requested a rather different type of graduation present, it probably won’t happen next year either. :sad1:

Then… (horror of horrors ) once he starts collage, the tuition requirements will ensure that we wont be spending bucks to see the mouse for the four or five years following. :faint:

I’m already suffering from significant withdrawal pains! :scared:

can't we just send our kids to the disney institute or something?? then we can visit them "on campus"!!

Looks like I am posting like it's 1999 :)

very nice!

Hi Guys, did I miss anything?

not much, just a bunch of birthdays.

Yard sale this morning. Made $16 so far. Stop by and buy something.

Tim Bedore's animal conspiracy. I get attacked by wasp, you a bird, it's starting.

Terrific. Go with June 2017 @ maybe we can get a DDC DL convention.

I love Tim Bedore :thumbsup2. Vague but true!
