Little one not sleeping well? My 3week old sleeps great, it the 17mo that does not, however, last night, she didn't wake up until 5:30 am. I got her back to sleep then she got up at ~6:45...up for the day.

Now time to go run one to gymnasitcs.

We've been spoiled by having good sleepers... but don't worry, they'll find another way to drive us crazy.

on a related note, a co-worker directed me to youtube to listen to Samuel L. Jackson's reading of the book, "Go the **** to sleep". hysterical.

Well... maybe not your honeymoon... :rolleyes1

To each his own. :rotfl2:

Morning all....

Don't know if it was the stress of the situation, or food poisoning, but Thursday night was rough. Still worked yesterday, and
pretty much crashed when I got home.

Work right now is pretty sad. The store is at best now, completely dysfunctional. 80% of the staff are useless now or just don't want to work.

I'd love to get into details, but it;s hard to explain all the issues. Useually I turn to my good co-worker friend, she and I have worked together for 11 years now, and have similar work ethics, hell, she is a harder worker and is grwat at setting up visual displays etc. The manager treats her worse then the slackers (she does NOT kiss ***), capped her hours and she is now frustrated all the time and angry, and kind of given up. She stands a good chance at least of getting transferred, so she'll escape. We still talk and joke, but there is a bitterness now, and I've done all I could for her, but it;s amounted to zilch. Once she goes, it'll be me against the store :stir: Only plus is we SHOULD have a new assistant soon, this one retires in three weeks, and transfers are comming within two months but alas, I likely won't get it now, I'm too vital to the store (in other words, I'm keeping from comming unglued completely, and untill he can train others, I gotta stay).

There are some perks though:

1) I can get away with a lot more thin others, boss has a fear of "losing me" like the others, so looks the other way.

2) I can be incredibly snarky and get away with it, I've made brilliant comments past few weeks. Boss has given me death stares last little while that could burn holes in walls, nothing else done.

3) I'm literally witnessing a nervous/psychotic breakdown in progress from one co-worker (okay it;s not good but fascinating nonetheless to see, if not a wee bit uncomfortable).

4) I get a one day escape to learn about spirits. Tasting, mixology etc. Won't get drunk (believe me, they watch for that kind of thing, and I want to attend the beer seminar this summer)

Morning guys. Just got in from a 7 mile run. 1st mile was tough, then it got good.

Hope everyone has a good saturday.:thumbsup2

Sounds like you could have your own reality show.

Well...looks like next year's 1-1/2 week trip has morphed to 3 weeks! We are now seriously looking at going all out, driving down, and hitting Daytona, Seaworld and  Universal:eek: plus the usual Disney palooza. :thumbsup2.

NICE!! :thumbsup2

time for one last post... just to pad my post count and let you all know that I am heading to work.

enjoy the rest of your saturday!

Oh, there'd be jealousy issues too. I've worked hard to learn and get where I am. everyone can't comprehend that. Whatever. I'm honestly now trying to wrest anything I can out of this before things blow completely..

The full timers though hate the fact I know more, can do things, get better tasks etc. Sucks to be them.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, I am really good at my job, way better than the others. But, old boss did everything on seniority. New boss goes on performance. Their pay is still more, but I hope that changes. That is a university policy issue, so i probably won't get that one.

It'd take me a couple of years to DO 7 miles :lmao::faint:

You walk that one day at WDW.

EXcellent. Got more room in the van?

That reminds me I haven't updated the weight-loss attempt in a while. Last week, I was down to 217, down 2lbs from the previous week. Yesterday I weighed in at 215.5. It appears that I am slowing down. I had been expecting this to happen. Still way ahead of the pace to reach my goal of 40lbs lost by August 1. To date, I have lost 24.5lbs!! If you had told me when I started two months ago that by my birthday I'd be down from 240 to 215, well, I wouldn't have believed it. It seems like it's time to start working some exercise into my day to keep thing moving along.
.

Excellent. I've got more weight on me than you, but i hit a slow down when my back went out. I am about 90% healed, but sitting has increased my food and drink intake. Need to get started again, but am afraid of reinjury.

He is the narrator voice on the African Cats Disney movie, and i kept waiting to hear Watch out for the motherfiretrucking snakes on a plane.

Will be heading to Mexico in a few minutes. Happy Cinco and Derby Day everyone. Flight was nice, upgraded me to First. Bloody Mary on the way down. Will post some pics if I can figure how to do it from an Ipad.

Well, some things are strictly seniority, union rules doncha know, if it were by preformance, I'd BE Assistant Manager already and laughing. Me and all but one full timer get paid the same (she hasn't topped out yet. And psychotic. :lmao:) Assistants get paid more though.

Never thought of that. Mind you, I thought it was about running. I probably log a few miles walking about the store in a day. :confused3

If we still had the van, yep, with the Journey, we need to get a luggage carrier for the roof for any trip we take, not nearly the space. We gotta get one by July, we need to take bedding up to the cabin we rented.

Sweet! Have fun!

I downloaded the photobucket App, took pictures on my phone, uploaded them to photobucket App on phone, and I think you know the rest. There may be an easier way, but that worked for me.

No union with University system but layers of bureaucracy. Those can be manipulated anytime for any particular person. I just haven't rated that high yet. So, I leave most days round noon in the summer.

Well, no one said how fast you actually had to be running.

I haven't heard a lot of DisDad car pools. The right number, vacation days, would have to work out along with distance.

Let's check the remaining candidates for when will Norm be drunk poll.

Thanks for playing, "when will Norm be drunk by?". Looking forward to playing the game again.

No,DD isn't sleeping well at all. DW and I take turns sitting with her in the rocking chair. Last night I had a shift that ended at around 5:30. Went upstairs, climbed in bed and DS was in my face by 6.:headache:

At least he is sleeping through the night though.:confused3

Won $60 on derby. DW picked 2nd & 3rd place horse out of $5 pot. Youngest dd drew winner from $1 pot. Since I staked their draws,I keep all the winnings. But, I picked the winner before race by name.

Now if you beleived in yourself... and put down $10K... you'd be doing allright.

What is up this find Saturday evening...baseball was rained out for the third Saturday in a row today. So, that gave us the opportunity get somnethings done that were not going to get done otherwise. Shari had me going to multiple greenhouses along the course of the day and she has most of the outdoor color for the season purchased. I also had to make an honest woman out of Lauren today. When they went to Toys R Us last night it seems that Lauren picked up a pack of tic tacs an d left without paying for them. Marched her back in there today and made her tell them what happend and pay for them. I hope that I didnt scarred her for life...I know it has scarred me!! Hopefully she has learned a lesson!!!

Tomorrow we have a makeup baseball game at 4pm for LAST weeks rainout!!!
