Derby ownage.

. I also had to make an honest woman out of Lauren today. When they went to Toys R Us last night it seems that Lauren picked up a pack of tic tacs an d left without paying for them. Marched her back in there today and made her tell them what happend and pay for them. I hope that I didnt scarred her for life...I know it has scarred me!! Hopefully she has learned a lesson!!!!!!

Youngest dd did that at SSR gift shop. She took a charm. Before I knew what happened, DW had her back at the counter to tell CM and apologize. Haven't had that issue since.

norm!!!!! drunk yet? :rotfl:

Starting to sober up. I was able to use my flask. Maybe it was anti-Kentuckian to drink a Canadian product on Derby, but I had my obligatory mint julep. James won the pool.

That makes me feel better to know someone else who has done that and then not had any issues. I honestly dont even think she did it with any bad intentions. I dont knwo what she was thinking...but I bet she thinks next time!!

Evening all...back home from a rather uneventfull night. Things are a lot calmer at night at any rate, I am in charge and keep things laid back.:thumbsup2.

Minor drama when one guy was almost $500 short, he was freaked. I kept a cool head about me and looked over everything and found it before he left for the night, an error caused by...the boss not knowing how to pay bills :sad2:. A couple of register entries later, all fixed. These things make me happy, showing with a cool head, logic, and observation, you fix things and not make 'em worse, not let the poor guy thinking he owes big-time.

Good morning men :thumbsup2

Saw the Avengers yesterday and it was awesome :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Started some preliminary planning for the September trip. One of things I am considering is taking my company car or our mini van? I still have to pay for gas with the company car, but I wouldn't be putting the miles on our van.

Also, the car is a lot smaller (2012 Ford Fusion) than the van so we would not be able to bring everything and the kitchen sink like th last two times.

Any thoughts?

If it costs you nothing but Gas... and the company is cool with it. It's a No Brainer!

:thumbsup2

Oh, and no need to bring the kitchen sink, you can get one there.

ive driven it a few times. :rotfl2: we have a mini van, maybe a bit of over kill but since briana was born, we have taken a van. at first we rented them. up to 2004, i could get a newer van, unlimited mileage for about $400 for two weeks. we bought our own in 06. we like takeing the van, we could haul just about everything and if you needed a nap, you just crawled in the back and nap. we would take out (or fold down) the middle row of seats. all the stuff fit behind the rear seat so there is alot of room in there for three people.
now that briana is getting older, the days of the mini van are coming to an end. tammy wants a new car. we have four cars including my work minivan. we pay insurance on all these cars. so, looks like the van is going and she has her eye on a mer. benz glk350. there just as much as any suv and she likes the styling and how it drives. its 42k with all the trimmings, they are giving me 12k for my van and 3k down, its hard to pass up.
we enjoy the drive. its part of the trip. i could go on for pages of my childhood drives and all the drives since.
we have friends that decided to follow us. she wasnt a driver. she decided to fly the next year. well, we left wdw at 3am. they left wdw at 5am to get to the airport. needless to say, with lay overs and delays, we beat them home by an hour. theres kids got sick on the plane. what a mess. they drive from now on. you controll what, where and when, when you drive.

Other than the third arm she's growing? Just joking. I would have done the same thing dd did, and was standing right there next to her the whole time. Now, the only difference was that my child did not have any vacation money, so she had to give it back instead of buy it, but you made the correct call. There has to be an immediate consequence to behavior in order to prevent it. She has nev done that since.

Norm, my phone is one step above a rotary so can't add aps. Still playing with it but real time photos probably not happening..

Can you take a picture with phone and email the picture to your iPad? Then you can upload it there and post it live.

Nice to hear the movie was good. Trying to see it next week. As for th vehicle, my initial thought was for you to move your vacation days to October and then pick us up and give us a free ride to WDW. But, if that is not in your plan, my DW is bringing th kitchen sink regardless of what vehicle we drive. I don't know th Ford, but in driving my Toyotal Camry and Dodge minivan, the minivan rides higher and smooth at those speeds. But, it is also th difference between a 4 & 6 cylinder. But, if the company is cool with it, then it saves you some maintenance and keeps your vehicle on th road longer.

Haven't been to Beaches and Cream. That is our plan when we stay at the BC.

Morning all. Have to leave the derby behind and get ready for first communion today. No telling how many of the moochers we'll have show up knowing that we are providing free food. Yesterday, how many family members showed up at the derby party? That's right - none. I wish I could convert DW to seeing that friends and family members we actually interact with our more important than the other idiots we see 3 times a year and never communicate outside of that. It won't happen though. You all have a great day.

Free Food? What time do I show up?

I mean... congrats on first communion. Now where's the free food? And when should I be there...

;)

Really... congrat's only, and forget the free food. Donate mine to the local food bank.

The company is fine with it. We have a set amount taken out of our expense account each month that allows us to use it for whatever we want.

My DD's saw the sundae from heaven and wanted to know if that was on the agenda. I told them talk to mom. I can't have ice cream so I would not even begin to tempt myself.

I have been surprised at how much we have enjoyed the drives. It's been good talking time. This year with out the in laws I hope to make the trip in less than 20+ hours :sad2:

I am not sure we could fit you and your kitchen sink as well as our crap :rotfl2:
We booked Sept. for the free dining, which we have never done. I was very disappointed that we did not get to do the things we wanted last Nov. so this trip will be built around those things. Looking forward to staying at PoP!

Be at O'Charley's around 4:00 PM. Thanks and I'll pass on your congrats. She said thanks.

Ok, so I won't hold it against you that you will not reschedule your entire vacation plans to allow my family to mooch a free ride. I like driving in the car, not for the sake of driving, even though I do enjoy the scenery. Honestly, if I could afford to fly, then I would every trip.

Happy Birthday James. You won my drinking pool yesterday. The prize is that you get to age 1 year. Next drinking pool and prize to be determined later.

Just returned from Opening Day at Canada's Wonderland.
