Morning Gents!

Quiet day here today. Some cleaning to do and then off to our Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Dinner.

Then go. Really, get in the car and start driving. We tried one year to plan to leave at 5 PM so we could gt to WDW by 8 the next morning and walk into a reservation. We were so pumped that we couldn't wit. So, we left two hours earlier and arrived t WDW at 6 AM. Nothing is open that early - we learned the hard way- but we were there even sooner. Ever sit in the lobby at CR at 6AM? It was really fun. Boogity, Boogity, Boogity - let's go racing to Disney World!

We might get as far as KY the first day. I plan on only taking two days to get there it is 22 hours and we can't leave till 11:00am on Tuesday.

Morning everyone...never did the drive in, was too bushed after work, had another run-in with the boss about "my attitude".Other then that, really busy, the morning pre Greece-Poland game was nuts, we sold a beverly-load of polish beer before the 11:30 game start :lmao:

Three days three hours till we start driving to WDW. Kids are pumped DW and I have to much to do. Can't wait to leave.

Almost there...hang in there.

Best beer I've had at HS. They have it on tap at that little bar that's attached to 50's Prime time!

Mmm BEER!:drinking1

And, there is a QS at DHS that serves it draft. I don't remember which one.

Pizza Planet has it on draft, that's where I got to try it. Mmm:drinking1

Morning all. Looks like many of you have a better day than I do planned. I've taken care of the greenhouse and am deciding now whether to weed the blueberries, stake the filberts, prune the tomatoes, clean the house, :laundy:, file the paperwork that is stacked up, work on a grant or
wine.gif
. The last option is the most appealing at the moment because my Outlook email is giving me fits but would be the least productive and the most painful tomorrow so I think I will choose none of the above and write some letters I have been meaning to do, :surfweb: and

You would think an organization with more than 10,000 employees would have some technical support available on the weekend.:headache: Guess it isn't meant to be that I get anything useful done in the office.

hey guys. Yard work all day today, but it's a beautiful day out, so no complaints. Hope everyone's off to a great day!

It looks like the universe is telling you to go out and play then, Shawn! :lmao:

Do you know the difference's between Disneyworld and Disneyland?

Ypu can drink the water at Disneyland! :lmao:

It is awful. Not sure why it is just so bad there, I like water, but it is terrible.

Sounds fun.

Sorry. I went back and re-read it at 3 days 3 hours. I just thought it said 3 hours. 22 hours is a long drive. It is 14 hours for us. We leave around 3 or 4 PM and drive thru the night. I am not sure I could handle a 22 hour drive in one day, but I would probably try. Usually, DW gives me an hour or two nap and I can make it the rest of the way on caffeine.

I don't think it was pizza planet, but I can't remember. I was thinking it was by backlot express, but really can't remember. I'll do some first hand research in 2013 and let you know.

Not when they are doing layoffs. Are you going to be ok?

Getting my veil now to go play with my bees.

I should be OK through this biennium, thanks. Our College was better than most in holding vacant positions open. They then give those back to the university and "abracadabra" they have taken a cut. I still don't really understand how not spending money you were already not spending is savings but that is why I'm rather than the Ivory Tower. We have heard that there should be less than 20 people in our College that find themselves "displaced". Some of the other Colleges in the University weren't so fortunate.

rain....sun...clouds...sun...clouds...rain...clouds..sun

Make up your mind!!!!!

I know someone meeting with their Dean Tuesday. They expect to be laid off. But, at 64, the plans are to use unemployment to pay for COBRA until Medicare. The reason that works is they budget their costs if they had full staff. So, when they don't hire, they recoup all those salary, travel, insurance costs. It asks the question if those employees were ever needed in the first place.

Well, SIL is on a plane and the festivities are over. The Pirate Princess will be at a sleep over at a friend's house. Nice to have the place to myself. Love my SIL but she can be taxing at times. The rest of the day will be spent watching the Belmont and game seven Heat/Boston.

All in all a good week. Now gearing up for the Hawaii trip. Fifteen days and we will be on a plane to paradise.

A vacation before the vacation. Brilliant. Have a great trip.

I'm in for the rest of the day as well. I learned two things. If you cut your hair with no guard, wear sunscreen if you plan to be outside for softball practice and cutting the grass. Newly cut hair and 4 hours of sun equal burnt head. I also learned that pouring an extra glass of crown makes a great room air freshener.

i'm going to need time to decompress, but, I'm thinking I'll write a trip report up, and fill it with the Art of Animation photos I took.

Welcome back boB! I sure you had a great time. Just one question, how were the buses?

The busses were fine. Legitimately. the resort is SUPER close to DHS, i think MAYBE 5 minutes after you get on? Now, we drove a lot while there (easier for us).

We did have a few realizations. FIRST, they are not sharing busses with Pop Century. We thought it was odd, since most of our busses were empty. I never had to stand, even after fireworks. .

THEN, we realized our resort was empty because there's 2 buildings open, and a plan to have 9 or 10 buildings.

So, yay for busses this time, in 2 weeks, when the Cars wing opens, it'll get a little worse, i fear.

Good to hear about the buses. Since we are DVC, it is doubtful we will stay there but maybe. Can you walk to DHS?
