Good morning guys

I have to lector this morning so I am up early (like always) to go over today's readings.

We watched Super 8 last night. Very dissatisfied Spielberg is testing my patience, he had a hand in screwing up the last Indiana Jones. The premise of the movie was ok, but I did not think Super 8 flowed well.

I can't believe the Lions blew their chance last night

I can definitely believe it! They'll do better next year

But I agree about super 8. I would've liked it to be a movie I could take my kids to, but the swearing was excessive & unnecessary

last day of the Christmas vacation for us today. Back to work and school tomorrow.

Fun movie night tonight, we went with Mars Needs Mom and Gnomeo and Juliet. Personally I enjoyed both...I know neither movie got huge reviews, but they worked for me...

Never seen Mars Needs Moms, but I really liked Gnomeo and Juliet.

I told my kids that Gnomeo and Juliet was based on an old story from William Shakespeare.
They are convinced that Romeo and Juliet was based on Gnomeo and Juliet.

We’re certainly on pace to roll through this thread in record time.

DS and I had a successful road trip for regional auditions as well. He feels fairly confident in his performance; told me that the judge commented that he had the best control in the upper registers that he’d heard so far that day (a generally good sign). Max should hear results tomorrow, so we’ll see.

Not then, let me go back and see what all I missed.

Sweet, just read that they are releasing the Titanic movie "A Night To Remember" on DVD ...I need to get that. Planning a mini-marathon the night of the 14th-15 April to mark the 1ooth Anniversary of the sinking..

We went to see Tin Tin as well, and during the previews (when the 3D wasn't working ) they showed a preview of Titanic being re-released in 3D.

I bet it can be narrowed down to less than 10, based on current activity, as well as other factors.

It's that great misinformation that feeds our children. FIL told DW, that when she was a child, the coal plant across the river was a nuclear power plant. Now, everytime we drive by, I make a Simpson's or nuclear joke.

Dad insists that you never use Crown as a mixer, only straight up....

Crown should never be mixed. It is too good. Let's talk about the difference.
On the rocks means served with ice cubes.
Neat means poured into a glass with nothing added.
Straight up means shaken with ice, but then strained so no ice in glass. It is chilled.

I prefer mine neat, although I believe all 3 are acceptable.

I am a lector too. Eerie nemesis similarities. My oldest started serving Mass last year.

The Mater quote I say a lot, especially when my youngest talks, she still isn't very clear and runs on and on.

Yeah, I tend to go thru them as well. Larry the Cable Guy was funny in and out in that movie.
