Whoa... where'd everyone go? :confused3 All the early morning dads still still?? Is this future post day again? :lmao:

ONE WEEK LEFT! :cool1:

I am really excited... and nervous about this impromptu trip. First... I'm excited to be there during the Christmas season... this is a first! But I'm also nervous because I've done very little planning for this trip. We are doing MVMCP the day we get there and I still haven't formed a plan of attack! Anyone with MVMCP experience is welcome to throw out some tips here ;)

Nervous... because I need to get the bathroom in at least a condition that my MIL can move into the room over the garage this weekend. I'm cutting it close... but if I can get all my rough-in stuff done by Thursday night I can have it inspected Fri... then drywall this weekend. Yeah... assuming I pass inspection... first time :lmao::lmao: Wish me luck!

Katoot... congrats on the great presentation! Sounds like it went well :thumbsup2

Did the Seaworld one years ago, we did a walk-inand took an early lunch, got seated right at the tanks, it was a good meal if I recall, though I'd be damned to remember what we had...
Food? :confused3
Well, the presentation went fairly well. The bosses complimented me on my presentation skillz (such as eye contact and hand gestures)...looks like those public speaking classes back in university paid off!
Nice Job!:thumbsup2

Getting up at 5:00 central paid off!:woohoo: I got 1900 park fare breakfast & Chef Mickey before the parks open (no wasted time, if possible.) And I got a Le Cellier Lunch and a Coral Reef Dinner.... AT lunch & Dinner times.

So, so happy!

And this will be my first experience at Cinderella's Royal Table.
Way to go on the ressies, boB! Is this for the whole family, or just that MIL/youngest son trip you had mentioned?

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Nice scores! I have yet to experience CRT yet... have fun!

I've completed my list of places we want to eat on our next trip, since we are staying off site this time, and it will be out of pocket, I wanted to try a couple of places not on the DP:banana:

- Teppen Edo
- Schula's
- House of Blues
- T-Rex Cafe
- Whispering Canyon Cafe
- Shark's Underwater Grille (Seaworld)

:confused3

Sounds good. Not a big fan of T-Rex but the kids love it. Whispering Canyon is a lot of fun if you are into it. I order off the menu and skip the skillet thing. Would be interest in your take on HoB. Still haven't gone there yet.

Grat job. Always nice to have the big boss see one's abilities.

DD loves CRT. You snagged a lot of the big gets.

Get to work on "The Facilities." Hope it goes smoothly.

Congrats on the countdown. We leave on Friday for a weekend trip. It was a few years since I went to MVMCP but what we did was hit Fantasyland first (DD was much younger). Skipped the first parade (do they still do two?) and rode the E-tickets. After the parade we then did multiples of the favorites. Have to stop for cookies and hot chocolate.

As a usual morning check in person, I was distracted this morning. Why you ask? DD GOT INTO ANOTHER ACCIDENT. Everyone is fine and just minor dents. Guy stopped in front of her and she was following too close. This one I am going to try to keep off the Insurance Company's books. She will also need to figure out a way to contribute to the costs. Can't wait until she gets home today. Are there bars open at 9am?

It IS awfully quiet in here tonight/this morning...

Oh! I almost forgot! I actually updated my TR!:lmao:

Morning guys. Hope all are doing well. One month until we're in WDW for 5 days. Can't wait! :cool1:

Glad your DD is fine. Somebody tell me it gets easier the older they get.

I have to agree with your opinion of WC. Only did it once and that was enough.

I'm on the green side of the grass and had a BBS shave so that qualifys it for a good morning. I needed it as I think Steve might be spreading the kidney stone germ around. Had my first one on December 9 of last year and praying this isn't an annual occurrence.:headache:

I think we have DD settled down and back on track after DS told her there was no Santa. There may not be for him this year! Looks like this will be the last year for DD though because she is having serious doubts now. Somebody tell me it gets easier when they get older.

Don, I can't tell you what you should do at MVMCP, but I think I can tell you exactly what NOT to do.:headache:

Actually, it probably depends on what you want to accomplish. Definitely skip the first parade, people were lining main street before 6PM. Unfortunately, when we were there, people were also lining main street before Holiday Wishes for the second parade. DS fell asleep, so we just went and rode rides and came back to watch from behind the masses.

I really hate to tell you this Don, but we went to the MK 3 different nights last week and MVMCP night was by far the most crowded.:confused3 I think part of it is that they didn't clear the crowd out at 7 though. It was a cool evening and everyone was wearing jackets or sweatshirts. I know you couldn't see the band on my wrist under my sweatshirt and the only CM that ever asked to see it was the guy at the entrance of Tomorrowland Speedway.

Whispering Canyon is a lot of fun if you are into it. I order off the menu and skip the skillet thing.
I had the skillet at lunch... I'll do it again.:thumbsup2

Sorry to hear about that. Glad she's ok though.

How are you finding the time to do all of this on top of everything else? :confused3 Of course, the incentive NOT to have MIL living in the house is always as good as a shot of Red Bull I suppose ;)

Enjoy your trip. Wish I had advice on MVMCP but we've never gone and aren't even doing it this time around. Too bad that we will miss you guys by just a day by the sounds of things.

I think that in the month and half that I have been hanging out here I have read reports from three different dads about their DD getting into car accidents. My oldest DD is eleven and you guys are starting to give me panic attacks already. :scared1:

I think if any DISDad's cross paths with you at WDW in Tim's absence, we should ALL be able to collect on the debt. It's what Tim would want... :rotfl2: :lmao:
Good Idea! :thumbsup2

Tim missed out on his chance to be a proper nemesis by not restricting you from consuming a Dole Whip at the same time. It would have been much worse if you could only buy him one and then watch him eat it.
I think I'm going to consult you on an future bets with my nemesis. This would of been classic! :rotfl2::rotfl2:

We ate at Teppen Edo last trip and the kids really loved it. The food was really good too. They have a steak roll that they fry on the grill that was awesome.

T-Rex- is the dinosaur version of Rainforest Cafe. I think they might actually have the same menu... :rotfl:

WCC- We ate there once and I ordered the skillet. It was ok but I wouldn't order it again. We did have a blast with the antics. Don't forget to ask for ketchup! (oh and the bottomless milkshakes are good too!)

Good morning guys :cool1:

I'll see if I can link the trip report in my signature :confused3
Guess it didn't work out too well... :surfweb:

Do you want to see characters, ride rides, or see shows?

You have to be in front of the castle to see the lighting. I hear the Magic Memories, & You show is revamped for the holidays. Of course Wishes. Fit everything else around that.

Thanks for the advice! It was still cheaper for us to buy the Christmas party tickets since we weren't going to be getting there until about 4pm. That's a shame that they weren't checking bands though.

We're not big on the parades, but I'm thinking I do want to see one of them. Will definitely catch the fireworks though. Out of curiosity, do you know what the crowd level was for the days you were there? TP has the MK at a 1.1 for the day we are there :cool1::woohoo:

Well... been long days for sure. With holiday stuff going on it's been almost impossible. BUT.... I know I get to "relax" next week in my favorite place :cool1: Will all be worth it then! :lmao:

It is... it's really cool too. I tried to get some pictures, but they didn't turn out well... that and the castle looked like something different by the time I could take the picture. They do a candy cane and a gingerbread effect on it that looks incredible.

I don't remember exactly what it was but it was somewhere between 1.1 - 1.4.

The parade wasn't all that spectacular, IMO. Worth it to see the snow falling on MS. If you're not big on parades, then do what we did and just stand back and watch from behind the masses. I don't need a front row seat to see it.:lmao::rotfl2: The Holiday Wishes are a must. DW said she felt like we got our money's worth out of the tickets just from the fireworks.:thumbsup2

Cool! Will definitely line up to see the fireworks. I'm thinking we'll prob do rides during the first parade... then check out stuff after that. There's no pressure to get anything specific done.

My understanding is that those numbers are for daytime visitors and have nothing to do with the night time party. So depending on what time you get there that day you may be able to take advantage of it. According to TP a lot of folks without MVMCP tickets avoid the parks on party days because of the shorter hours and then go on the days when MK is open much longer hours. They CLAIM you can cover more ground in those shorter/lighter days than you can on the longer/heavier days. We are going to test this out when we are there. Both MK days on our schedule are days they are open from 8 AM - 7 PM and they are rated at something like 1.3 and 2.2. We figure we can hit the ground pretty near RD and have a great day by the time they kick us out at 7 PM.

Man!! Try getting some work done at work and you get nothing done AND i end up 20 pages behind on here. Who decided this working thing was a necessity? I DEMAND A REFUND!!! :lmao:

On a lighter note...
I have found out they opened up dates for the Wishes Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert party through the times i am going. The wife and myself have a few questions about it. Does anyone know how many people total are allowed to be there per night (roughly), and how is the view of the fireworks from there? I am thinking about making it our last night hurrah. What are your guys' thoughts.:confused3
