Good morning guys :cool1:

Hey guys! Guess who ate lunch in Canada today! :rolleyes1

If it makes you feel any better I'm in Valdosta, GA resting up for a long drive home in the morning.:headache:

That is where we stayed on the way down. Nice town.

Hey guys.

It's been a little bit since I last visited/posted. It's been a very full, crazy kind of week - but in a very good way. I've been in Ft. Lauderdale all week, and still in Florida for another week. Tomorrow afternoon (around 3) I'll be leaving and heading north. Stopping in Vero Beach for the night, then on to OKW on Monday afternoon. :cool1: On a research trip. Will be at WDW til Friday morning, then over to Canaveral to board the Monarch of the Seas for 3 nights. Then up to Hilton Head Island before heading home again.

Step 1 of our multi-step plan has finally become fully effective. We decided to really go for it and go into business for ourselves, and step 1 was completed this week. I can't talk about it too much here on the DIS (since the DIS is owned by a TA), but that is the industry that is step 1. We have formally purchased a franchise operation, so as a result of that I can no longer be associated with FTJ. But this move is allowing for a large expansion over what was relatively limited in scope. Disney remains my specialty, but there is so much more that I have access to now through the home office. My website, which remains mostly Disney-centric, has been up for a while, and I've been sitting in the hotel each night updating, revising, etc to make all of the needed revisions. More to do, but I've been in training ALL day each day all week, so the time is limited each night. A second site went live recently too which is devoted to the expanded part of the business.

Step 2 continues to inch forward, and is a BIG part of this research trip.

Step 3 also continues to inch forward, with an in-depth meeting taking place next week while I'm in Orlando.

Step 4... we're still determining. But in the end, we are considering 3-4 different ventures under a single corporate umbrella.

For those of you who are friends with me on FB, you can see my post about it over there on either my personal page or my business page.

Anyway - I hope you all have a great Sunday! I'll be at WDW very, very soon - and am so very excited!!
:cool1: :yay: :dance3:

Congrats Stopher :cool1:

Definitely sounds like you've been busy, Christopher! Brain hurting yet from storing all that cruise information?? :woohoo: We'll be praying for good results for your new venture :cool1:

Ron - So you beat the computer into submission, eh? Good job :thumbsup2 Just don't give it any dirty looks! :lmao:

My little man had a busy day today, this morning he completed his next belt test in karate, and at 6yrs old is now a brown belt:eek: Then after dinner we went to his track awards ceramony where he recieved a metal (everyone got one, but he still felt like hot stuff:cool1:)

Remind me not to mess with your lil' guy in a dark alley late at night.

Congrats.. :thumbsup2

Sounds awesome... glad to see you are bouncing back so quickly.

I know you will thrive in your business ventures.

Good Luck. :thumbsup2

Great I take a few days off to go hunting and I have like a book of posts to read when I got home.Guess I better do some speed reading before I fall to far behind here.:surfweb:

Great movie choice.:thumbsup2 Just realized today that Buttercup was Jenny from Forrest Gump..

I did not realize that. I'll have to check it out. (Gives me a reason to watch Princess Bride again.) But, it will have to be after a day of football.

Congratulations and my admiration to all those DISdads who run their own businesses. There was a great book a few years back called Rich Dad, Poor Dad. And, without ruining it, the basic concept was the difference between the traditional salary, benefits, retirement job vs the entrepeneur. I have worked other jobs and supplemented my income, but have never been brave enough to run my own business. So again, my congratulations and admiration and prayers. Good luck.

Bragging time.

DS and his team played in their first BBall tournament of the year yesterday and ran the table. They never trailed in any of the games and won each game by an avg of 20 points or so. Big confidence booster for them.

Ahhh, one of those hunting trips. Well, I hope you didn't get walk back wet as well. It has rained here all night and all day thus far. It is bad to come back cold and empty handed, worse to come back cold, wet, and empty handed. Well, I guess it's better than this guy:

SALT LAKE CITY -- A Utah bird hunter was shot in the buttocks after his dog stepped on a shotgun laid across the bow of a boat.

Box Elder County Sheriff's Deputy Kevin Potter says the 46-year-old Brigham City man was duck hunting with a friend when he climbed out of the boat to move decoys.

Potter says the man left his 12-gauge shotgun in the boat and the dog stepped on it, causing it to fire. It wasn't clear whether the safety on the gun was on at the time.

Potter says the man was hit from about 10 feet away with 27 pellets of birdshot. He says the man wasn't seriously injured, in part because he was wearing waders. The man was treated at a nearby hospital.

Or Dick Cheney's hunting buddy.

Congrats to him. What position does he play?

Well the Dolphins won again today. Looked good too. No chance of making the playoffs but they might win a few more games. Then the "We are close" stuff will come out of the front office again. A near middle of the pack draft pick. The coaches will be fired but I bet the real problem, the GM will still be there. No wholesale changes on the team. Maybe next year they can go 8-8 or 9-7. Might even make the playoffs as a wild card only to get creamed in the first round. And so it goes on and on.

Can you say, Bitter, Party of one.

On a different note, my back is almost 100%. But, it felt good enough to do some stuff today. So, all the Christmas decorations are done and the storage boxes put away. I don't feel any extra hurting, so hopefully, all is well. It's been 3 weeks since I last hurt my back. I've never had it take that long to recover. I must be getting old.

The GM is never wrong. :confused3 Just ask Matt Millen and the Detroit Lions. He did pick Calvin Johnson.

When we were at Kidani last week I had one of the cast members come to our rescue. It was a pretty big deal and I want to go beyond the thank you I gave him. Does anyone of a specific address, email, phone number, etc. that I could forward kudos to for this outstanding CM?
