DDA's New Year's Weight Loss accountability Thread

Checking in. I stayed the same this week. That's ok. I didn't eat very well when we were in Nashville.

:fish: :fish: :fish: :fish:

Well, I hope I am not all alone here. :rolleyes1

Once again, I stayed the same this week. Oh well, it's better than a gain. I am still doing good on my excercise. My stubborn body just doesn't want to let go of any more weight.

:fish: :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish:

Your not alone here Melanie :goodvibes I meant to weigh in yesterday, but I forgot till after I had eaten :sad2:

I will weigh in next week, I don't want to let my weight creep back up on me. I will be honest & say that I have not eaten the healthiest the last couple of nights(working late, I know not an excuse). So we will see what the scale says next week.

So I gained 7.2 pounds on my trip, plus I am PMSing. I guess that is what I get for eating 2 desserts or entrees and then having midnight snacks and food all the time. I am pretty much back on track. I still have to go work out for the day. I refuse to keep the weight on and build on top of it.

Becky you enjoyed your trip & that makes it worth it. You will lose it :thumbsup2

I already have it in my head that I will gain on our trip in October, I do not plan on behaving :rotfl:

But I will get back on track when I get home!

Just keep swimming ladies. Hang in there. The fact that you are still posting is proof that you will succeed :thumbsup2

Im still here! Yesterday was day 1 of week 2 of the couch to 5k program...
Im stll the same weight but need to make some better food choices and stop the stress eating!

It seems I'm here in spirit, but not actions lately. I'm proud of all of you for keeping things up. Seems I'm just full of excuses and distractions lately. When we get home next week, I'll be back in force. I believe that I am up a few from my lowest this year, but luckily it doesn't look too bad. Hopefully when I weigh in next week I'll be able to say that I didn't gain anymore than 5.

Jen - where did you find your couch to 5K plan? Was it in a magazine lately? I just read one and was thinking of trying it as well. The question is whether my knees can handle the jogging/running parts okay.

Melanie - Just keep swimming. It's never a bad week if you're still exercising.

Becky - After 2 weeks on board, I'd say that gain is good. You had a good time and enjoyed your trip and that's what is most important.

Reporting in.............& staying the same yet again this week. :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish:
I was really hoping to loose 5 more lbs before our trip.......but since I appear to be at a very stubborn stalemate, I kinda doubt that is going to happen.
Oh well................
How's everybody else doing???????????????
P.S. Stay away from the Halloween candy. It's only Oct 4th so you don't need to buy it for 3 more weeks. :rotfl:

I am maintaining at 130 lbs. Halloween candy will be hard to stay away from :rotfl: I am more worried about my upcoming trip, I know I am going to eat badddddd. I will just have to walk alot!

Hang in there Melanie :goodvibes

I've been really good the last couple of weeks and the scales have come down a bit. I'm seeing 140 lbs again. That is an achievement since I'm still working on losing the weight from our last trip. Hopefully I will continue on the right path

I'm hanging in, but can't seem to get back on track. I was please with my first weigh-in in awhile this week. I was up a couple of pounds, but still down a total of 25 from my starting weight. I was really hoping not to give that loss up. Today has been pretty good, but yesterday is a whole other story. I felt like I was [famished all day long no matter what or how much I ate. Luckily, today has been much more under control.

Janet - From the sounds of all you guys' plans during the trip, walking a lot won't be an issue! ;)

Laying around today has made me famished. I've eaten too much today, but having been so good until now I'm hoping that a one day mess up won't set me back.

Yeah, I did it! Mostly anyway. I got back on Sparkpeople yesterday and figured out that if I stick to my plans, I will be at my goal weight just in time for our (hopeful!) trip in May. I would  that! Today, I did pretty well. Breakfast was a splurge, but we walked 30 minutes to get there and 30 minutes home so I walked off most of it. I ate really well for lunch and dinner and drank my water all day. The best part is that I figured out a lower calorie (and soon to be lower fat when I buy new dressing) version of my latest craving - buffalo chicken pizza. I put it on an light english muffin instead of a piece of frozen garlic bread and cut the calories almost in half! While not quite the same it was still quite tasty and even better in a couple of ways.

Now to keep it up!

Seems like we are all in a holding pattern here. I have added some additional exercise hoping that will jump start the weight loss again. Keep it up everyone!

So far so good. Day 2 - I ate pretty well, stayed well within my calorie range, drank my water and walked for awhile (though not as long as intended for reasons somewhat beyond my control).

I did have a lot of problem staying out of the kitchen. I think most of that was I wasn't really doing anything so I kept going to the pantry and freezer looking for something. I did manage to just "look" though so that was good. I've got to find something to do at those time so I don't do more than looking next time. I've got some craving that I just can't figure out it the problem, I think.

So I was down 2.6 pounds last week but I think I will be up that amount again this week.

Here is a picture of me in my size 12 $8 black dress

Just get out there, get moving and make healthy choices. If you screw up just jump right back on the bandwagon.
