DDA's New Year's Weight Loss accountability Thread

I noticed that as well, they all look awesome!


I'm still swimming alone. Need to shed the vacation weight. I am not at all good at staying on track. After seeing the pictures of the Baltimore meet and seeing how wonderfully everyone has done with shedding the pounds I know that I need to get my butt in gear before our October meet. I must say the results in those photos say more than any words ever could. Amazing job DDA!!!
 
I forgot to check in..........
I have changed meeting days to Thursday...after being away from meetings for a month & getting going good with excercise........I lost 3 lbs since my last weigh-in. :cool1: I have excercised M,T,W & F this week so far. Woo hoo :woohoo:.
I am feeling pretty good about things....motivated & ready to take on this thing full force again.
I would so love to loose 15 more lbs before my cruise. I don't remember if I told you all, I am dressing up as Mary Poppins on Halloween/my bday on the cruise. Going tomorrow with my bf to pick out the fabric for my costume...she is making it for me. I already have the hat, umbrella, scarf & have ordered boots. Going to be fun!!!!

Great job Becky!!!!!!!!!! You have done such a wonderful job!!!! Such a cute pirate Mickey in your siggie...that would be great to use on my cruise.

I promise there will be pics of Mary Poppins.

We went today & got all the fabric, buttons, etc for the costume. I am so excited.

I am so happy, I can't believe I actually did this! I am sure my bout with running to the bathroom helped, but I will take it :thumbsup2 Thank you all for your encouragement, it has helped me so much!

Now the hard part, maintaining. But I can do this :cool1:

Hi you guys. Well I went up a pound this week & I am so upset. I have been couting every bite & not exceeding my points at all. I have also been excercising alot. I excercised 5 days last week & have already done 4 this week. I am so frustrated. I am going to just keep swimming :fish: but sometimes I wonder why am I working so hard when my body seems to be refusing to drop any more weight. :confused3:

Thanks for allowing me to vent.........it's nice to have some place to come where you know people understand & I don't feel comfortable letting out my frustrations at meeting.
 
Melanie with the exercise you might be gaining muscle. Hang in there, I know you can do this!

At least you are exercising, this is something I really need to do. I may have met my goal, but my skin is flabby & not very attractive :sad2: I just hate exercising, so I am either going to have to deal with the extra skin or do something about it & so far I am doing nothing :rolleyes:

Thanks for the pep talk Janet. Excercise is a struggle for me too, but I really like these tapes I have. They kick my butt, but I can tell a difference in my body since I started.........even though the scales isn't showing it to me. I will keep on going, but it sure is hard sometimes.

I bought the Transfirmer-which has 3 DVD's with it by the FIRM. They combine aerobic activity with light weight lifting. I like them as they change things up pretty frequently. It has been a pretty good fit for me, but they kick my butt pretty good & sometimes I want to curse at them.....they are evil women. :lmao:

I so hear you on the extra skin. I don't think any amount of exercise will every tighten it up. I need to win the Megabucks and get a full body lift :laughing:

Oooh, those sound interesting! I love Taebo, but I haven't done it in a while. I'm joining the Biggest Loser teams here at the dis, so I need to get back into it. Keep up the good work!!:thumbsup2
