DDA's New Year's Weight Loss accountability Thread

Hooray for you!!:cheer2:

I'm down 18 this year, too! Not under 200 yet--but I'm moving that direction. . .at least I'm the lightest I've been in over 7 years!

Good for you! What's working the best for you right now?

I joined WW online on Jan. 5, and that helped me get started again. I had lost 35 pounds myself, then sort of got "stuck" for about 6 months! After the first couple of weeks, I've settled into losing about a pound or two a week--slow and steady. That's fine with me--maybe that means it'll stay off better!! I'm looking at this more as a lifestyle change to become more healthy rather than a "diet". And the flexibility that the WW Flex points gives me helps--if I want to splurge a little I can without feeling like I've blown the whole thing! I'm also trying to walk daily for a half hour or more--if not all at once, in little 10 and 15minute increments. This will be easier when the weather improves!!

Hubby and I are back to Weight Watcher's plan on Monday (tomorrow) we are also giving up soda completely, even diet. That will be very hard for me :sad1: We are setting a 90 day goal which makes it much more attainable as we need an end in sight. Dh wants to lose 30 lbs in 90 days bringing below 200 lbs. I want to lose 15 lbs which will bring me near 135 lbs. I would love to lose more, but I really don't think I can maintain a lower weight.

Deb I gave up soda & now occasionally drink it at a restaurant. I know you & Chris can do this, I am here cheering you on :cheer2:

I can't seem to maintain a weight lower than 130 - 135 either, but that's ok. As long as I can stay within this, I will be happy!

Hey, that's an awesome weight!:thumbsup2

I'm 6' tall, so my target weight is in the 140 - 180. I'm shooting for 180 "officially" for the WW program goal--anything lower than that will be my little bonus!

Good Morning.

Yesterday was weigh in day after DH and I finally recommitted to our WW plan. We both started on March 3rd. We set goals that we think we can meet in 90 days. My goal is 15 lbs and his is 30 lbs. So after the first week I am down 4.6 lbs :cool1: What surprised me was the fact that I lost nothing at all in the first 5 days, but it all disappeared over the weekend. Chris lost 10 lbs. We are off to a good start. Please keep me accountable even if that means hounding me

Deb

Great job Deb :yay:

I am back on track as well. I went back to meeting last weeks as I just don't seem to be able to do it without going in there & stepping on the scales in front of someone. I tried on-line but it just doesn't hold me accountable enough. 1 week back on track & weigh in is tomorrow night.

WTG Deb & Chris :cheer2:

Good luck tonight, Melanie! Sounds like going back to meetings is a wise choice for you.

WTG Deb and Chris! Just keep at it and you'll do well, I just know!

I totally understand about the accountablility. Of course I'm competing with my DH (he thinks that were just doing it together, doesn't he know how competitive I am):lmao:

Yes, Tia. I think it was the right choice for me.

My DH doesn't need to loose weight, but I bet doing it together is a great motivator.

Have a great weekend everybody.

Have a great St Patty's Day everybody.

HI everybody.
I wasn't able to go to meeting last night because we had a good bye dinner for a nurse I work with. I will probably go to a Sat meeting instead.
Hope everyone is doing well.
I am off today & ready to enjoy a nice 3 day weekend.
Hope everyone has a great Easter.

Where is everybody?

I had my meeting tonight. Last week I stayed the same & this week I lost a pound. So I am down 6 total in 3 weeks.

Just keep swimming :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish: :fish:

I'm still here! Sounds like you are doing great :thumbsup2 I have not lost the 5 pounds that I have put back on :sad2: Hopefully when warmer weather hits I will be a little more motivated!

I've fallen off the wagon or in weight watcher's terms I've lost my way as this is not a diet, but a way of life :lmao:

Between Easter and our huge rennovation project there is no hope for me following any plan. The good news is that the dust is bothering my allergies so I'm really not hungry. I'm getting lots of exercise too, climbing up and down ladders. What a glut workout.

Plan or no plan you're going to be buff after all the renovation work you're doing. Gluts on the ladder, arms from painting and ripping out flooring, cardio from doing it all quickly to meet the refi schedule. :thumbsup2 You'll get there when things aren't quite so crazy, I'm sure.
