WDW was fabulous!! I was so worried about the half! I don't mind telling you that I didn't think I would be able to finish! However, I managed to finish in 3 hours and 27 minutes. I even have the Donald Duck medal to prove it! I was so proud of myself! It was an experience that, next to marriage and having my kids, is the proudest of my life. I really feel like I can do anything, now!
My husband, Alan, did the half too, even though he really hadn't trained much for it. I worried about him, but he finished as well! It really made him want to do more training.
We had some wonderful meals at WDW, too! Our favorite was WCC. That was the night before the half. I ordered the meatloaf, and ate only about a third of the serving. It was so delicious!!!!! I took the rest home, and was able to eat some of it in the morning before the half, and the rest after we were done.
We stayed offsite, and had a full kitchen. That made it so much easier to be good at eating choices. For breakfasts I had sugar free oatmeal with skim milk. We made hamburgers for dinners, and ate mostly CS for lunches. We ate at Cantina de San Angel at Epcot, and it was really good! Alan and I also shared a chicken flatbread at Seasons that day. Yummo!
I was so worried about all the eating that we did while we were gone, and I really didn't want to weigh in yesterday morning. I did, though, and was so excited to see an actual loss of half a pound from the day we left for Orlando!!! Guess all that walking, plus the half marathon really helped me out!
I'm back on track with the exercising, as well. I did 35 minutes on the treadmill yesterday, along with situps before bed. I'm planning on another half hour (or longer) on the treadmill this afternoon. I can't wait for it to warm up some so I can go back outside for my walking!
Keep up the good work everyone! I'm so proud of all of us!!!!!
