DDA's New Year's Weight Loss accountability Thread

Wow, I'm impressed no one has reported any significant gains and Becky has even lost :thumbsup2: I can't wait to see what the New Year brings for all of us.

Just a quick update: They are looking at my gall bladder as the possible culprit now. I had more blood work done today and I'm having an ultrasound tomorrow. I just hope they can figure it out soon. Of course I didn't have the pain when I went to the doctors today so that made everything more difficult.

Hooray for Becky's loss!!!! You totally ROCK, woman!!!!

Deb - I'm glad that they are looking at your gall bladder. Hopefully these further tests and ultrasound will reveal the cause of the pain. I'm so glad that you have Chris and your family around to take care of you at this time. Please take care of yourself! You are extremely important to us all!

Well, I will be the first to report a gain. :sad2: I gained 2 lbs over the last 2 weeks for a total gain of 3.5 since my trip. I have had trouble getting back on track, but as of today I am back on program.

Good for you Deb & Glynnis for maintaining.

And Wow Becky a loss at Christmas. You are awesome.

Deb, I hope they figure out what is going on with you. Gallbladder pain can be referred to the back area. I will keep you in my thoughts & you keep us updated.

My New Year's Resolution besides continuing with my weight loss goals is going to be consistent excercise (at least 3 times a week)----I did really good for about 2 months & then fell off the wagon.

I thought it might be fun if we posted pictures to show our progress over the past year.

Melanie, you look fabulous! I can't really show pictures because there is not a noticeable change at all! :sad2: I can't wait to see everyone else's though!

Deb- that is what happened to me, when I went for my ultrasound I didn't have any pain that day, but afterwards I was miserable for like the next week. I really hope they can figure out what is wrong with you.:wizard: :wizard:

Thanks, I really have not been that good this past week and only did a little excercise, however the past few weeks I have kind of stayed in the same area. So the loss was really a shock.

Thanks, as for the before and after pics, I thought I posted to do that before so others would post theirs but it didn't go through. So I am :rotfl2: that you posted to do it because looking at before and after pics for me is a huge motivator and thought it would be great to have before and after pics.

Good luck to everyone doing the half or full marathon. I know you will do great.:thumbsup2 :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: I am glad I did not sign up to do it as I attempted to break my toe today and it really hurts.:sad2:

Melanie, you look wonderful! Congratulations on a significant weight loss! You are doing great!

My resolution is the same as yours: consistent exercise. I was doing great until it got too cold to do any walking/running outside. It's so much harder for me to do anything at the house, where the kids interrupt me all the time. I'm going to try a lot harder this coming year. I always feel better after exercising!

Hi, Jennifer! Can you believe I'll get to meet you in just over a week???? I am so excited!!!

I am happy to report that I am back on track with my eating. Yeah. Boy that cruise & the holidays really threw me off....:rotfl:. I did so good through the holidays last year & lost, but that was right after I joined.

Post away Deb.....I can't wait to see!!!!

Well, i havent really been watching what i eat or exercising lately, but i am pretty much at the same weight..I looked at my posts from the beginning of the year, and i am at the same weight i was in January, so i guess im happy i didnt gain weight .

Hi everyone! Well I am here & I am going to do my best to lose some pounds. I procrastinated & did not start when you all did, so I have some catching up to do! To be honest though, I do not plan on do any big changes till after the 1st.

I already drink water, but I need to up my intake. I rarely drink soda anymore, so that is not a problem. My problem is sweets! I love salads, vegetables, fruits, ect., just need to eat more of them.

I have seen the difference in all of you over the past year & I am so proud of how wonderful you have done. I have never been a small person, but I did lose 65 pounds in 2002. This was stress related & came off to quickly. I had major surgery in Dec. of 2004 & the weight has slowly been coming back.

I look at pictures of myself when I lost that weight & it really makes me feel ashamed that I let it go. So I am going to do something about it!

My goal is to lose 10 pounds before our trip to Europe in March, then I want to lose another 20 before our trip to Disney in Dec. 2007. If I can do this, I will be a very happy person. Send me them good vibes ladies, I will be needing them.

Melanie I met you at LTT in Oct. 2005. You look wonderful, keep up the good work!

:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes You can do it. 30 lbs is a very realistic goal and you've given yourself 11 months to get there. We all know from experience that weight loss is possible and maintanence is too. Join it and we'll help keep you on track and motivated.

Deb

OK DDA Weight Loss Team, the year is almost completed. I would love to see how much weight we lost combined over the last year. You can either post the amount that you have lost or gained since Jan 1, 2006 on this thread or you can PM me if you'd prefer. I will total all the gains and losses and post one grand total. I suspect that we may have had a few gains due to some health issues that arose for some of our participants. I know that it took Chris and I until September before we found a program that worked for us. It would also be great to see before and after photos if you feel comfortable sharing. No matter what results you had this year, Monday is a New Year with no goals. We will still be here to support and encourage each other so if you want a fresh start or just to keep on with what you are doing This is the place to be.

Thanks

Deb

Thanks Deb :goodvibes

:welcome: Janet aka tinknme. We have had a good year here supporting each other & are always glad to have new people. The accountability of going to Weight Watchers meetings & coming here each week to post has really done a good job of keeping me in line. Good luck to ya. :thumbsup2 I remember meeting you last year & am so happy that you could tell a difference. It was great meeting a fellow Diser (this trip I met no one)...ya'll Janet recognized me from pictures I had posted on here......I think pictures work better than all the lime green Mickey heads & green bracelets in the world. :lmao:

Deb...you can put me in for 42 lbs total for the year as of today. I had lost almost 45 but have gained a few back with the trip & Christmas.

I am looking forward to loosing even more this year & being even more pleased with my pictures on my October 40th birthday cruise next year.

WE CAN DO IT TOGETHER!!!!!!!!
