DDA Chapter 9

The last time there was such a major schedule change they did move us to an earlier flight even though I am flying on award miles. There was no problem at all that time. But, this past week when I called they refused to book us on a different flight from Atlanta to Orlando. We have a 2 hour layover there now. Today the itinerary has changed once again. I suppose I should be grateful that they have us on the same flights! But the flight numbers are changing as well as the times so we figure the best thing we can do is sit back and watch it all unfold for a while. I fear there are more changes in store before September. I don't think making a switch to September 23 will make matters any better. But Bob said he wishes it would work out that we could do it... I just don't see how. :sad2:
I tried!

Have fun playing games tonight!

What do you think for centerpieces?

Is it bittersweet and roses? I like the combination, but it is lacking something... it needs something middle of the road in height too, I think. :confused3

I thought you were playing games!
Yes, bittersweet and roses. Vase is 8 inches - total height is around 22 inches.
Cut the bittersweet? Another "row" of roses above what is already here? I can't put my finger on it either...

ETA: She is going to try to "curl" the bittersweet a little to give it some more umph.

I have no idea if and how this works, but if it's possible, it seems like I could see it with the bittersweet cut and "curled" at various heights above the roses. I think that would solve the height issue. Pretty combination!

I agree! It needs a little something in the middle. I like the color combination, and the size variance, as well.

Well, I'm awfully tired! It's been a long, hot day here. I think I'm going to go sit in the porch swing and read for a while.

I have a dr.'s appointment tomorrow afternoon. They are going to run all kinds of blood tests. Since Alan's sister had a Down's Syndrome child, and my cousin has a Down's Syndrome child, they are planning on an AFP (alpha feto protein test). I'm not too concerned. They do this with all my pregnancies. It's more for preparation than anything. My doctor knows that I will not terminate should I get a positive result, but I would like time to prepare.

So, that's my big day tomorrow. Not to mention grocery shopping, laundry and de-cluttering around the house. We're trying to get the twins moved to the basement in Jacob's room, move Jacob up to the twins room (where the baby will be if it's a boy), and all the rooms painted. Right now, we're just going through clothes, toys, books, etc., and once I have the ultrasound on the 22nd of July, we'll either do the big move, or figure something else out.

Evening all,

Robyn :wizard: for Molly's surgery, I hope it takes care of the sleep problems.

Elin great pictures as always!

Chanon the cruise sounds like a great deal, hopefully some will be able to to take advantage!

I have read more, but I can't think of all I wanted to respond to. :wizard: & to all.

Last Friday I felt like I had a bladder infection starting, but I thought I could take care of it myself. Today I am really paying for that. I called the Dr's office this morning & they set me up to go the hospital & give a urine sample. I check into the out patient & tell them what I am there for. The paper work is filled out & I go to the lab. I give the lady at the desk my paperwork & have a seat. Within a few minutes my named is called. I go in the back & the gal puts the rubber band around my arm. I tell her I did not realize I was having blood drawn. She takes my blood & says that's it. I ask her if she needs a urine sample, she checks the paper work again & says no. So I leave & go to work. The Dr's office calls me about something(my brain is mush at the moment)& I tell them I had blood drawn. Nope this is not what they were suppose to do. Dr's office calls the hospital to see what happened. Get a call back & apparently another person with my last name was to come in for blood work, they had mixed us up :sad2:

I now have my medicine & at the moment I am running a temp of 100. I popped some ibrufrofin(sp), hopefully my temp will drop soon. Sorry for the long story.

Janet - sorry for your problems with the dr. At least it wasn't a life or death issue or they would really be in trouble!

Elin - sounds like another great day!

Robyn - good luck getting Molly's surgery done. I hope it takes care of the problem.

Chanon - I really like the flowers.

Hi Becky!

Jennifer - :wizard:

Elin - have a drink and get some sleep!

Goodnight everyone. It will be soooo nice to be back in my own bed. :cloud9:

Thank you! What's the theme of Olivia's party this year?

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

:pixiedust: :pixiedust:

:wizard: :wizard: To your brother!!

So, it's July! I am going to WDW NEXT MONTH! (And so are lots of other DDAers!)

Jennifer- Sending your brother good thoughts and :wizard: for today. Glad you had a nice time at the zoo.
Jennifer :wizard: for your brother.[/QUOTE]
Thanks guys
his court was postponed today. I am hoping its due to all your prayers and Pixie dust.

Jen -- sending lots of PD!

Andrew's team played two games last night and won them both, so the games in this tournament are over. It turns out, there were only three teams, and since we beat the other two our games are over. The other two teams play tonight for second place and to get to advance with us to the next division which is Sectionals. It starts on July 10th.

We didn't make it in until after 1 a.m., and I was back here at 6:45 this morning. I'm thrilled that we have no more games this week. Andrew still didn't get to play much -- a couple of innings of each game. I'm at a loss as to how to get his confidence up. He did fine in the field but struck out both times he batted.

Elin -- your pictures were gorgeous! It sounds like you are having a fabulous trip.

Tammi -- glad to see you're home. Any big plans for this week? Enjoy your time off!

Good morning everyone! Have a great day!

Congratulations to Andrew & his team.

Morning everyone! I have a few errands I need to run, i want to go walking, then im hoping to lay by the pool--gotta get some color for the trip! I go to disney THIS MONTH!!!

I'm sorry, Jen!
Well I just went to the Board of Education for the one job that I interviewed at. I went in to get Sub papers and while i was there, i asked about the prospects for september-----i did not get the job. The woman said that i did very well on y interview and there just werent enough positions..So im kinda bummed...Just wanted to let you guys know

:cool1:

So far I've got 2 loads of laundry going, mowed and weed-sprayed the front lawn, and went through a bunch of cookbooks trying to plan some meals. Now I think I'll hop in the shower. I still have a kitchen floor that needs a good mopping.
sounds like a very productive day

A couple of things...

Lucy now has 3 teeth. Her top right side incisor broke through the gum today. Her left one is almost through too. But her front top teeth are nowhere to be found!

And I called Mo's dr in regards to her sleep study as I had not yet gotten the results. Her sleep study came back perfectly normal. Remember I said that she seemed to have a perfect night's sleep that night showing none of what normally happens when she sleeps. After much discussion we decided that we should have her tonsils and adenoids taken out anyway. She exhibits all of the symptoms of apnea. Her surgery will be done sometime in the next few weeks. Keep your fingers crossed that it will help.
Virginia's did the same thing. both her top 2 incisors are in. but she has been chewing on her fingers the past two days and a lot today.

You got it!
thanks

Chanon,
I like the flowers but agree with Elin. Maybe the curling will be just the thing!

If the curling works, it ought to be perfect, Chanon!

And we did play games, and talked and giggled like school girls... well, except for Bob... he just   :sad2:
