Yes, except she is expecting pixie dust on her pillow from the TF, like Nicholas got when he lost his first tooth. Except the TF is out of PD. :guilty:

You got any glitter? I know that would make a bigger mess but it might satisfy her pixie dust desire.

I think I found another smiley for Anne Marie, Chanon and Janet.

Way to go, you guys... you made me grin and cry and laugh out loud. I love you all and the fact that every single one of you on here took the time to find the perfect thing to post for my birthday. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Well, here's my update for the weekend. I'm at Mom's up by the lake until Sunday night. Hopefully I can pull off Mom's 60th surprise party. Cross your fingers for me!
...but there's been downfalls. My grandmother (mom's mom) needs a place to stay - with the beginning stages of dimentia, she'll be staying with Mom for a few weeks starting on Monday. They don't get along much, so send some peace and patience to her for me. And then there's my grandfather (dad's dad) was taken off life support this afternoon. We aren't sure if he'll make it a day or a week. So send some peace to my dad too. He took a BIG step today calling his brother - with whom he hasn't spoken to in years - so I think he's coming to accept it. There's more to both stories, but I don't need to bore you with more details.
So everyone - have a great weekend and enjoy the weather! Our's is supposed to be 85 and sunny until Monday.

Night everyone!

Prayers & pixiedust: for all your family having to deal with all of this at once.

Thanks, Vicki.

Chanon - I hope you enjoy the time with your family, and that you all find peace. Good luck with the party!

Elin!!

Happy Birthday, Elin! (And what creative greetings.... they're all adorable! :goodvibes ) How has your day been?

Thanks!! My day has been fine. I taught and many of my parents and students brought me gifts, like homemade petit fours and a birthday cake that looks amazingly like the one in Robyn's post. I got flowers and hand "cream" from a place called "lush" that makes hand made, fresh products for cleaning and maintaining one's... hmmm... body. Kristin cooked dinner and she and Bob sang to me, but it wasn't nearly as good as Tom's serenade... :rotfl:

Thank you all! I can't wait to turn 58. ;)

Well I'm going to say goodnight. I started HP and the Chamber of Secrets last night, so I'm going to go delve back into it.

So how are you celebrating today, Elin?

I didn't do much differently than every other day, actually. But Kristin and I did run out to Total Wine to get a 4-pack of my new favorite beer. If you like dark beer I would highly recommend it. It is scrumptious!

At $17 for a four-pack you had better believe it is only for special occasions like my birthday!

He's been good about having his annual blood test. I had read that there was link between prostate cancer and breast cancer. His sister had breast cancer, his grandfather died of some kind of cancer in his 50's and his aunt died of ovarian or uterine cancer in her 50's so he definately needs to take care of this.

I can't help but worry that it might impact our trip. His urologist is excellent. The small hospital he practices at (about 1/4 mile from my MILs house) is the only one south of Boston that has a robot to do the surgery if it comes to that. I don't know how quickly they could act if it comes to that. I do know that it is a very slow moving cancer that they don't even treat in some older men but they would certainly treat in a 53 year old. I guess it is a bit premature to worry about that yet.

But you are worrying and I can understand that. Lots of good thoughts are headed your way to allay those fears and to give your DH a good outcome.

Im feeling okay--I got alot done today so im hoping to have a lowkey day tomrorwo so i can rest up. I am pretty much all packed, just have to add a few last minute things on saturday morning. Still has not hit me that I leaev on saturday!

It is almost time, Jen! :yay:

Here is my public service announcement for the day:

Be VERY careful to read the label when you buy cookies. The cookies might LOOK soft in the picture, but when you get them home you might notice the package actually says "crispy" cookies. This is code for "this cookie will explode into 4 million crumbs and spread them over a 3 foot radius if you attempt to bite into it". Just so you know.

:( ( :rotfl2: )

My kids are watching Samantha Brown's Top 10 Disney Favorites.........again.

I caught part of her new "weekend" show about Orlando. There is a Wine Bar in Winter Park I would love to try!
