Oh yes, I forgot to say, Debbie, I think you look amazing! Keep up the good work!!!

We just got home from baseball & in the nick of time too. Thunderstorms have arrived & it's pouring!

Daniel's team won 8-5!!! Daniel was given the game ball. Bases were loaded, 2 stikes, when the ball came flying towards him at 2nd base & he caught it, threw to 1st & got 2 out!!! Inning over!

He was so proud & all his teammates were too. And he didn't even want to go to baseball this morning!:rolleyes1

Yay for Daniel, Great Job!

That's why I try to stay here. I very rarely post anywhere else anymore. (Not that I have the time to be reading a bunch of other boards anyway.)

I'm sure I'll read back to what you did to need pain meds. In the meantime, I hope you are feeling better soon!

What size are the shorts and how big is your ds again? Miles needs more shorts...maybe I could buy them from you. I'm pretty sure that Miles can still fit in an 8 or 10 from Target.

We also think that dressing up means our good jeans. :) You look absolutely amazing! I think that you are my age (or close to it), but you definitely look way younger than me.

pixiedust:

Thank you, actually I'll turn 47 in June, I don't know where the time went :confused3

Thank you, I still have a huge journey ahead of me. When I stop and think about it now I can't believe that I let things get so out of hand that my health has suffered greatly, my motivation is not appearance but feeling better.

I got some uniquely Virginia gifts, I think...

For Anthony: A Virginia cup like the one below, but with the seal of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the word VIRGINIA in italics below the seal.

For Mary and Jordan: Pewter Bracelets of the Month, July and October

I also got Kristin one of the bracelets for August because she found them and fell in love with them!

And that is one of the main reasons you will succeed, Debbie!! :thumbsup2

Hi, all. Popping in to say hello. Debbie, you look FANTASTIC, and I hope you had fun on the cruise.

For everyone who has cruised (DCL and others), what would you suggest for a 1st time cruise? John is terrified of the idea (the idea that something would happen and we'd be separated from the kids), but is willing to go since the kids and I want to. DCL is very expensive, and I noticed that RCL's Freedom of the Seas will be out of PC next summer. We can do a week on it for a 3 or 4 day DCL. Any advice or tips are appreciated.

We had a few thunder booms but nothing like they were calling for. So we are 2 for 2 on not getting the thunderstorms or the rain that has been called for.

we had tornadoes in the area again along with out T'storms. :worried:

Bob and I are leaving in a minute for the Charlottesville area to have dinner at a restaurant with 12 other friends! Bavarian Chef.... here we come!

I found a few more pictures of me from 1973..I am going to post them on the "old photos" thread too.

I remember you could ride the dd bus up & down main street.

Great buys, Elin. Enjoy your dinner with friends.

Adorable pictures Anne Marie. How old were you?

Elizabeth,
I know!! I can't tell you how many times I have started to write out a question for the other boards & then deleted it.

The very helpful girl who told me I should be able to afford to tip bell services if I am spending thousands of dollars on a vacation also reminded me to tip housekeeping, too. :rolleyes1 Bonehead.

Here's the deal:
We're moving 3 times, which means a total of 6 occasions where bell services will move our bags. But since I have had time to think on it I think we can move them ourselves at least some of those occasions. Leaving AKL and leaving WL we can walk our luggage down and have it transferred without having bell services come to the room. One lady suggested piggy-back straps so we can handle our luggage ourselves without making more than one trip.
I was debating taking a cab over with all the luggage, but we'll just have the luggage transferred and go to the new resort on the bus after we spend some time in a park. Taking a cab would mean FOUR tips, which is just ludicrous. One to bell services for bringing the bags down, one to the cab driver, one to the guy who unloads the bags from the cab and holds them at the new resort until the room is ready, and one to whomever brings the bags up once we actually get into the room. :scared1: Yes, we could probably skip bell services all together and just tip the cab driver, so I'll keep that in mind.

Beth - The shorts are elastic waist, cotton twill, size 8. DS probably weighed about 65 pounds last summer, he weighs 70 now. They aren't drastically too small, they are just a little snug across the butt. I'll be happy to send them to Miles if you want to just pay for the shipping. :)

Anne Marie - Yay for Daniel's great catch!
Your photos are so cool! What nice memories!

Elin - I think those are very nice gifts! :thumbsup2

DS really enjoyed CATS. :goodvibes It was a good performance! I'll have to keep an eye on the upcoming shows in case there is something else he might like.

beautiful!!!:thumbsup2

Well disregard my last post, still not much thunder, but the rain was... whoa. They are still calling for severe thunderstorms that could produce penny size hail and damaging winds. :faint:
