I have put my first load of laundry in and am on my way to Best Buy. Bob and I knew that we wanted to give Kristin a laptop for graduation, but had not found one that met her requests... until today! They have one similar to mine, but with a 17" screen instead of the 15.4" that I have (and wanted) and it is $150 off! So, for $600 she will have one terrific new computer!! :)

See you all later.

sounds great!!

today is Savers half off day so we will be going there....Abi needs one or two more bottoms and Cassidy thinks she needs more clothes:rotfl2: .

They both do need summer pj's...Abi even put them on the grocery list on Saturday.:rotfl2: So if we can't find any of those at Savers we will go to Kmart (they have them on sale).

We are also going to put carrots, onion and lettuce in our little garden (there were a few stragglers from last season:goodvibes ). Our strawberry plant might even give us some strawberries this year (if the birdies don't eat them all:headache: )

I must get to doing my :laundy: today too. My clothing wanted to find as many food stains as it could collect this last week :lmao:

Well in past years, these three days Hal would have parades galore. By this time, he would be marching in his 4th parade with one more this afternoon. Thankfully, those days are gone. His knees just cannot take it anymore. Walking and carrying a Euphonium (Baritone) does not help either. :rotfl: Thankfully they only had to wear black pants and a white shirt. It just kills me to see the high school kids in full uniform. It is just too darn hot.

Saturday he was able to ride on a float and play the Tuba. Only thing, the parade organizers always seem to put the group behind a big eighteen wheeler or like the other day, behind a big LOUD dune buggy. His ears are still ringing today.

We have had chicken all weekend and I think I am starting to cluck. :lmao:

Today we are just gonna chill here.

Have a good day everyone.

I did thank my veteran :love2:

that's Jim and Abi's main instrument:lovestruc I also hate kiddos in full uniform when it's hot...but what I hate more is when they are definitely not watered enough!!

Enjoy chillin'

I know!!! that really gets to me too. They come around with ice chips and give them to the kids after they have been marching. Not before they start off. What they should do is have them in t-shirts with the school logo on. They would still look good but feel good too.

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY

Hope everyone has a good day!! We have several war veterans in our family...so we go and put flowers on the graves. I think it has really helped the kids understanding of the holiday. For a long time I think Kirsten thought Memorial Day meant you were supposed to barbecue. :)

Oh my, how awful. Will it clear up with an antibiotic? Poor thing.

No it's viral so it has to run it's course. The symptoms are the high fever and sore throat along with blisters on hands and feet. They gave up some spray to use on her throat if it hurts to swallow. We just have to keep her on the Motrin and make sure she drinks.

I am hoping that your kids and Bethany don't get it. It's transmitted through saliva and mucus so I hope Mo wasn't kissing or drooling all over the kids.

Robyn - If any of them start running a fever, at least I'll know what it is. I hope the meds can make her more comfortable. :wizard: that it stays away from Emma and Lucy.

Kristine - what a nice tradition. :goodvibes:

Hope she gets to feeling better very soon. And more hope that no other kiddos get it!

You all were chatty last night and today!

Last night a pile of clothes and I had a fight...the clothes won and I am sore all over (it wasn't fair the clothes got the litter pail involved...so it was 2 on 1) and I think I've sprained my left wrist which is really hard for this left hander. I have told Jim if it isn't any better tomorrow he has permission to take me to the urgent care (I hate medical professionals...not personally I just hate being in need).

Since I've caught up (for now) I better get off.
i hope your wrist is feeling better.
Lindsay,
Hope the pain is gone!:wizard:

Happy Anniversary Glynis and Alan.

Robyn,
Awesome deal on the trees, I always love a bargain!

We are back from urgent care and Molly has Hand, Foot and Mouth disease.
Poor Mo:wizard: I hope that the other girls don't get it or Tammi's Kiddos
