I know!!! that really gets to me too. They come around with ice chips and give them to the kids after they have been marching. Not before they start off. What they should do is have them in t-shirts with the school logo on. They would still look good but feel good too.

our band parents walk along with the kids...one parent per two rows of kids. Well watered before, during and after (whether they want to be or not!!:lmao: ). What gets me is the ones that have 2 parents for the ENTIRE band:furious: . 2 parents or ice chips do not cut it.

Happy Anniversary Glynis and Alan!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Happy Anniversary Alan and Glynis!! May you have many, many more happy years!!:lovestruc

that's Jim and Abi's main instrument:lovestruc I also hate kiddos in full uniform when it's hot...but what I hate more is when they are definitely not watered enough!!

Enjoy chillin'

I was always so glad that our parade uniform was either matching shorts or khakis and a band polo shirt. We matched, but weren't dying in the wonderful August heat and humidity.

Happy belated anniversary Glynis and Alan.

Theresa, the reason the site went down last night just as you posted is because Alex did some maintenance last night.
Found the notice on the CB this morning.

I think the other thing that gets me is how fast the high school kids march. Their cadence is so fast.

Okay, I will get off my soap box now.:lmao:

I just got back from Target. 200+ dollars later...................:sad2:

Lindsay-so sorry to hear about your kidney stone. Hope you're feeling better now!

Robyn & Tammi-loved your photos-looks like you had a great day!

Robyn-loved the pic of Lucy too-she is such a cutie!!!! Poor Molly-hope she's feeling better soon!:wizard:

Glynis-Happy Anniversary!

Janet-My Croc flip flops are Athens.

Theresa-hope your wrist isn't too bad today.

Deb-:wizard: All that work sounds exhausting!

I don't have the flip flops, but love my cleos. Those will be my WDW shoe this summer. I wasn't sure if I'd like them as the straps are narrow. I thought the Patras looked more comfortable. Since I couldn't find the Patras anywhere to try them on I ended up buying the Cleos. Things happen for a reason right...I love them

Bernadette. Colby got his Merrel Sandals. They do not have great arch support built in. That is fine for him as he has his orthodics anyway. They are very cute, but due to the abundance of elastic they are hard to get on and fit tightly. Not bad for a narrow foot, but his foot is not narrow. We ended up removing the insole that came with them and are just using his orthodics. Now he loves them and has no complaints. I haven't even heard that his feet are hot :cool1:
I may have to try the cleos. Glad Colby likes his Merrels. I bought these sock band things that you wear with slide sandals. They are a band about 3" wide. I thought they would keep my Keen sandals from rubbing my bunion but they rubbed on my little toe funny and they made my feet so hot-I think hotter than a full sock would have-it was so wierd. I got some padding made by Dr Schols that you put on the strap that I may try on them because otherwise they are pretty comfy.

Have you seen the kids Croc Tigger Pelican? Emma would flip for those but the largest size they make them in is 10/11 and that just fits her so I'm not spending $35 for something that would only fit for a month or so.

That is so cool!

It's been a busy weekend. Saturday was soccer, 9 loads of laundry and I made Emma a dress and headband. Sunday was Lizzy's birthday celebration with Grandma. Today I had to get up early to iron on badges and patches on Lizzy's Brownie vest and Joe's Cub Scout shirt. Lizzy, Joe & I marched in the parade (about 2 miles of the parade and then 2 miles back to the car). They do dedications at the cemetary, town common, and the veteran's memorial. The same veteran has been leading the proceedings at the veteran memorial for the last 50 years so they presented him with a special award today. It was really nice.

Now I'm tired. I may try to work on my photopass pictures but a nap is sounding good.
