DDA Chapter 8

Good morning. :)

I don't have much time, since I have 2 kids and myself to get ready to be out of here by 9. Hopefully Robyn and I will be able to meet up. I know Nicholas will be smitten with Emma and Alyssa, Bethany and Mo are roundabout the same age. Should be fun.

Jen & Debbie - Have a wonderful time!!!

We are now sitting down as a family and watching National Treasure 2. It's a pretty good movie so far.

I am glad you all are enjoying it! I actually bought that movie yesterday at Walmart. I loved the first one and figured I would like to watch the second one. Well... (and this will show you how often we rent movies...) I stopped at Movie Gallery on the way home from work Wednesday morning and they are closed. Apparently, according to my DD, they went bankrupt and have been closed for months. :rotfl: Since I have not idea where else to rent a movie I decided to spend the grand total of $15 on the movie and will give it to Kristin for her collection after we watch it. :lmao:

I saw a beautiful rainbow over the ocean on my drive home tonight. I snapped a photo of it on my phone. I had to try 3 times and hold my phone just right but finally did get the message to go through but now my email isn't coming through. Sometimes my comcast email comes through like 12 hours later.:headache:

We can't send pictures from our cell phones to our AOL addresses. They NEVER come through! Luckily we have Cox accounts too...

Um, Elin, there is a Blockbuster in Chatham and a movie rental place over in Woodlawn SC on Deacon Rd. You need to venture around White Oak more, instead of just going downtown. ;)

I'm not stressing about anything in particular, but since I don't need to make any ADRs or other plans I need something to worry about so I make things up.

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I am so glad you and Elizabeth have found one another, Deb. ;) :lmao:

All I can add to this Elizabeth is... if I allowed the naysayers on the DVC board to effect how my trip was, I would have had 3 bad trips. Between the "moldy" talk for OKW, the bus issues at SSR and the total unavailablity of BCV for F&W, I should have just stayed home. But I didn't let them get me down and I had a great room at SSR, no bus troubles. I was able to get a spotless GV at OKW at 7 months for Sun-Friday. I was able to get BCV during F&W with an EPCOT view no less.

Your mileage may vary. I didn't have a DTD view at SSR and my heart sank right there at the desk. I was so upset, I just knew I would hate it. Waa, waa, waa. I allowed it to bother me the entire time I was riding to my room. Grump, grump, grump. And then I got off the elevator and had to walk all the way to the end of the hallway. OMG, this was going to suck. And opened the door and fell in love.

But nothing prepared me for OKW. My sister and I walked into the one bedroom and it took our breath away. That villa was bigger than her apartment.  :hippie: Right near the bus stop. We didn't wait for a bus for more than 20 minutes. Most times it was 10.

Hang in there Elizabeth.

I love to read your "half-full" posts, Stephanie. You have a knack of saying things so well. I would not do so well. I would probably make people angry. :lmao:

I am a silver-lining kind of person too, and often want to respond that things will be fine. However, my two lovely, loving daughters often tell me that my expressing my eternally optimistic, rosy view of the world is not always appreciated by someone who is down in the dumps or needing to work things out verbally. :confused3 Who knew?? :rotfl2: So, I often keep my comments to myself so that I don't tread on anyone's mental brainstorming. ;)

But, Elizabeth... (listen to Stephanie! )

DH thinks I'm nuts to insist that the house get a good cleaning before going on a trip. I want to come home to a nice clean house with fresh sheets, and I don't want any laundry waiting, that way I can empty the suitcases in the laundry room and start on it right away.

Elizabeth - Sorry you're having such a tough time with the Mom issues.

I'm going to try and get some sleep now, I'll probably check in before we head out tomorrow, I'm not going to take the laptop, we already have enough to carry.

I hope your house is sparkling and you have a WONDERFUL cruise, Debbie!

:rotfl: Well, they are probably all closed when I would go venturing. But, thanks! :thumbsup2

I hope the trip to Baltimore is traffic-free and you all have a great time, Tammi. The Aquarium is one of our favorite jaunts!

If anyone has friends or familiy in the MK today, have them stop a minute and watch the Stafford High School marching band in the parade this afternoon. Many of my students are there on their first trip to WDW! :goodvibes

Kristin and I are on our own for the majority of this weekend. Bob's Mom was back in the hospital earlier this week for another blockage in what is remaining of her colon. :( She is home, but he and his other brother who is not in the Punxsutawney area decided that this was the perfect weekend to head home for a family get-together.

The Greek church in our area is having their Festival this weekend so I know we will head there for one meal. :) Also, one of my favorite wine shops has recently opened an outdoor eating and drinking area so we will be there for lunch one day too. And then there is that leftover amount on that gift certificate we used, Tammi... so Bistro Bethem here we come! ;)

I suppose when Bob gets home on Monday we will think about the ubiquitous cookout! :rotfl:

Well I'm officially signing off for the week, please keep it to a dull roar so that I can catch up upon returning. :goodvibes

Have a wonderful week!

Adios!

Janet - I finally had the chance to read your TR! I loved it and your pictures are wonderful. Thanks for sharing with us all! :)
