Anne Marie - I have a number of friends who were TDS CMs before they were sold to CP. Thye got 3-4 passes per year if I remember correctly. I think they were one-day passes.

Happy Anniversary Jennifer and Kyle!

The room looks great, Janet! Gary did an awesome job. Do you rent him out?

Congrats to Laura!

ditto, ditto, ditto!

(Thanks, Tammi!)

Anne Marie (and anyone else who knows NYC), if John and I were to come to NYC for my 40th birthday in March, where would you suggest staying? Neither of us have ever been. We'd like a nice hotel close to a lot of stuff. We want to do all the touristy things: Empire State Bldg, Broadway show, Times Square, Statue of Liberty, World Trade Center site, Central Park, etc.

What else would you suggest to do? Is Tavern on the Green really good? I still have all the brochures you sent me too. Thanks!

Before I offer tourist advice, I am sorry about your Kitty.

When we go to NYC we stay at the Renaissance Times Square and LOVE it. Foley's Fish House located in the hotel was a great place for dinner too, but it appears it has been changed to an establishment called "Chop Suey" :confused3

the view is unparalleled:

Hello DDA!:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I sure hope everyone is doing fine. :wizard: :wizard: to all in need. I'm quite a number of pages back, but I fixed a good friend's computers and then he took me to dinner, so I'm just getting home.

I have a huge favor to ask. Could you shoot a little pixie dust towards central PA for my DD? She has a really important test to take tomorrow. She studied for a year, took the study courses, has the flash cards, read the books. I think she's ready, but pixie dust most certainly wouldn't hurt.:) :)

Thanks! Now I'm going to catch up a bit and go to bed. I want to get up early tomorrow so I can make sure she has a good breakfast and then wish her well.  :dance3:

DONE!

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Geez Elin, I thought I was the one in the South! Stay hydrated!

Terry - happy bday to you ds and happy anniversary to you and Hal!

Elizabeth - I'm so glad you have things ironed out for your mom's surgery.

Good morning. :)

I so didn't want to get out of bed this morning.

 Debbie and Elin.

Stay cool today, Elin.

You too! Do you have power at work yet?

I cannot imagine how miserable it has to be in all the areas with no power yet. My boss' house finally got their electricity back last night... they had been told it might not be repaired until Saturday night

We had a high school and maybe 5 or so elem. schools that didn't have power yesterday. They all went to school just to get the day in and they started dismissing around 11 AM. I was in one of the schools and it was so stuffy and warm in there. Completely insane call on the school board. The problem was, just last week the board voted to adjust the school calendar to end on the 13th instead of the 17th, because of unused snow days. I guess the didn't want to have to RE-adjust. :rolleyes2

But yes, my building has power. Some signals were still out in places when I was on my way home yesterday.

I need to get hopping. Have a great day everyone. TGIF!

Umm, I truly think the reason they do it this way is so they do not need to worry about matching up the students to the correct folder. This makes it so much easier. They can pick any of them up and hand them out without needing to have them match up.::yes:: ::yes::
I can see this for college, but not for our high school. My diploma case has my name imprinted on it.

There's a name for it? I haven't turned on my AC. It broke the end of last season and had to be "thawed" before it would start working again...I'm afraid to turn it on.

Morning DDA! IT'S FRIDAY!!! (and I don't work tomorrow, so it's really a Friday for me!!!) :rotfl:
