Managers with at least 3 years of service get a silver park pass, 35% off park merchandise, 20% off park food and UP TO 50% off hotel. I have no idea what the part-time benefits might include. :confused3 Hopefully they will tell you soon, and it will be something GOOD!! :wizard:
You really should work at TDS!!!::yes::

Anne Marie & Chanon I will be calling tomorrow morning for our ADR's :yay:

I have the lesser of two evils...the deep bone bruise....I've got the splint for another couple of days...and he resplinted it so it does feel better tonight.

there is something else that transpired on the way home.....I don't/can't go into it...I just would covet pixie dust and prayers this way.

Absolutely! I hope it is resolved easily/peacefully and that your wrist feels better soon! Hooray for it not being broken! :goodvibes

Mother Nature needs some valium or something! We lost power at 6:30 p.m. last night and it wasn't restored until 1 a.m. Luckily, I had just put dinner on the table, so it didn't inconvenience us too much, other than the fact the phone and AC were out. The storms have finally passed through and now they're projecting 90s for the next week.

There might be a little baby boom as a result of this, but I told Kevin that was already covered! ;) :teeth:

You could go into labor though!

Good morning. :)

It is going to get HOT here. Low 90s today and then pushing 100 throughout the weekend into next week. What is up with this bizarre weather???

We are supposed to get hot weather too. of course I'm wrapped in a blanket now as it is overcast and not warm yet. I think I heard high 80's today, 88 tomorrow and 90s on Saturday. Hopefully my parent's pool will be clear by Saturday. It was still cloudy on Tuesday when I was over there. Chris has already put in a swimming request for Saturday as he wants to make sure that it is on our "schedule" :rotfl: This is the last Saturday that we both have off before the trip. That means we really need to was our camper.

We still haven't heard what our CM discounts will be at work. I heard as CM's we get in free to the parks & then i heard we only get 4 park passes a year..no one has the final word yet...This is driving me batty.

It is my understanding that CM's get a good discount on the room portion. However we are unable to purchase the DDp with the resort discount and the room portion has to be paid at the time of check in.

I was thinking of (if there is an AP rate) just using the AP rate (last year I believe it was $111 of at value season so I am using that as an estimate) & getting the DDP. I like the convenience of the DDP, we didn't have it in April & we missed it. If I do that then it becomes a package & we have 6 month no interest to pay it off.

:headache:

My fried AR said that she can go in free (maybe through the cast entrance :confused3 ) and she gets an allotment of one day passes that she can give to her family or friends. I know that it wasn't too many.

Nick was feeling better and insisted on going to school today. I would have given him another day at home, but he didn't want anymore work to make up. Of course Colby woke up at 5:30 with a tummy ache and has been running to the bathroom ever since. He seems to have it coming out both ends at this point. Thankfully I had planned to be home today so he can hang out on the couch and have me spoil him. He seems to like the extra attention as Nick did. He doesn't have a fever so there isn't much I can do for him other than hugs and sips of sprite.

The closest store that is staying open isn't THAT far from me, but my availability isn't very good. I know the store manager and she MIGHT hire me for just a weekend shift here and there if that was what I really wanted. We'll see. ;) Six years in retail might have been enough. :rotfl:

I was just putzing around on the AA site. I can never remember how many miles any of us have. DH will earn miles for the August trip. After that if we combine the miles in my account with DH's we'll have enough for one ticket. We'll have to pay $150 to transfer the miles, but that will be cheaper than buying a ticket! DH's flights for August are up to $526 round trip. $324 doesn't sound that high now! The big expense next year will be new APs, but with the DVC discount that won't be as bad as it could have been.

The girls room is done, I just have to paint the doors & they can move back in! I still need curtains & bedspreads but that can wait til the weekend. I went to IKEA & got them a desk & swivel chair for their crafts & homework to put in their room. Hopefully they wont fight over it as there isn't room for 2 desks.

Off to take Daniel to Friendly's for his birthday dinner!
That sounds beautiful! All of our bedrooms really need to be redone.

I have a PowerPoint presentation that I have to do at 7 tonight. I've never done one before, and have just gotten everything hooked up. It works, so I just hope it doesn't crash beforehand.
I hope that it went very well!

I have no idea actually. That was why I asked. I thought I read or saw pictures somewhere that they stacked so I thought they may be front loading.
At the Marriott Grande Vista they have a stacked washer/dryer that isn't a front loader. Maybe that is what you are getting, too. They are smaller than regular machines, and the dryer is on top, but the washer is still a top-loader. I can picture it but not describe it.

Boys' underwear is like that. Brother had some Wiggles underwear that was the same size as his clothes and they were skin tight. They left marks on him. Even DS, who is teeny tiny, wears bigger underwear than anything else he owns. He is in size 12 underwear from the Gap, and everything there runs huge. He had all size 10 and all of a sudden they don't fit anymore. I think it's the bubble butt. ;)
Boys' underwear size is very brand dependent as well. Fruit of the Loom is considerably bigger than Hanes.

New bedroom! John and I love it. To us, it seems like a hotel suite. Only thing left I want to change out is the ceiling fan eventually.
Wow! Beautiful!

Kristine,,,I am loving your pictures and trip report. Keep it coming.
That reminds me that I need to go out and read some more! I loved what I read so far.

The restaurant was so slow tonight. I left early. Nick thinks he is feeling better. I'm not sure that the meds have completely worn off. I guess I won't give him a bedtime dose and see how he does during the night.

Chris fixed the wheel on our electric scooter so that is ready for our trip. We use that at the campground to run to the store etc.

We also attached the truck to the camper and checked all the lights. Everything looks A Okay. Some more things that we can cross off our to do list. Hopefully tomorrow I will get a lot done around here in terms of putting the house back together and putting items together for the trip. I think I finally have an entire day where I don't have to leave the house at all :cool1:
You are getting so close!!!

I have the lesser of two evils...the deep bone bruise....I've got the splint for another couple of days...and he resplinted it so it does feel better tonight.

there is something else that transpired on the way home.....I don't/can't go into it...I just would covet pixie dust and prayers this way.
I hope my prayers and pixiedust: aren't too late.

Amy, I loved the pictures that you posted! Alyssa is a beautiful ballerina, and Matty is so cute.

Robyn, I also loved the pictures that you posted! Molly is quite adorable, and I really laughed when I saw her keeping her eyes open.

Tammi- I am sorry Alyssa's beach day was canceled. I hope they can fit it in. And I hope Nicholas can make his field trip. When is their last day of school?

In Maryland, Anne Arundel County fire officials say a tornado touched down about 3:30 p.m., but there were no early reports of damage or injuries.
Their last day is next Friday, the 13th. :scared1: Just realized it was Friday the 13th. Creepy. But they might as well not be in school. Nicholas came home with a list for the week. One day is bring your favorite movie to watch, another is bring your favorite game board to play, etc. etc.

It sounds like you all were lucky!

We leave just 3 weeks from tomorrow at o dark thirty in the morning. I'm very excited now, but still have a ton of things to accomplish. I know that I need to make a few new autograph book pages. Hopefully we'll start to see reports of Star Wars characters soon and I will know which to make. It might just be easier to take blank pages and get them signed and create a page when we get home  I did that with Bowler Hat Guy last year and you'd never know that the page was created after the fact.

I'm off to tackle my kitchen.

Poor Colby! Here is some pixiedust: for him. I hope that he feels better soon.

Miles told me that his ear hurt this morning, but he seemed basically fine, so I think it's just allergies or a little congestion. (Or the fact that he thought he would miss the ice cream social at school tonight if he had to go to swimming.) He seemed to perk up more once he found out that we were going from swimming to the ice cream social. Let's hope I don't become the bad mommy that sent her kid to school sick.

Like, as in, not enough for the DDA? ;)

Yuck. Poor thing. Feel better fast. :wizard: :wizard:

I should get moving if I want to convince my manager to let me have tomorrow off. I have to stop at Walmart and print pictures for my passport. I have a meeting tonight.

I am thinking again about moving south. But I am not sure where I want to go. Or what I want to do.:confused3 :confused3 That's normal though.:rotfl:

Everyone leaving for WDW soon. Enjoy my B-day at WDW.

That kind of annoys me about the end of school. When Laura was in 6th grade, they had an entire week of exams in the morning followed by absolutely nothing in the afternoon, but they HAD to be in school all afternoon. One day four of us sent notes that the girls had appointments that afternoon and we were picking them up after exams. Laura really did have an orthodontist appointment but then we were going to lunch and shopping. The secretary in the main office really gave us problems when she found out that we weren't planning on bringing them back immediately after the appointment, but we held firm.

Virginia is a lovely place to live. Especially when there aren't storms, tornados or 100+ temp. :rolleyes2 ;) :)

Matthew and Laura have regular classes through next Friday. The following week and a half are exam days, and they only go in when they have exams. There are morning and afternoon exam periods, but the buses only run at regular morning and afternoon times. That means that unless I want them roaming the halls/neighborhood with nothing to do for half a day, I need to drive at least one way. Laura has one exam each day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and the following Tuesday. Matthew has two exams on Friday (so he'll just stay in between exams and eat a little lunch, etc) and one on the following Wednesday.

Miles' last day of school is Wednesday, June 25th.

Hope Nick makes it through school ok today!

:wizard: for Colby!
