Great shirts, Deb. How are those done?

Use contact paper to make a stencil. Stick it on a shirt. use the sole of a shoe and blot fabric paint on the shoe then press onto the shirt. Make sure to get around the edges well. The shoe markings will overlap some. Hunter even used a couple of different soles for his. They are kind of cute and really quite easy to do :thumbsup2 They have to dry flat for 4 hours and can be washed inside out after 72 hours. Nick and I saw it in Family Fun magazine at the dentists office. of course I didn't have time to read the article so we kind of winged it. I think doing a big block letter like the first letter of a last name would be pretty cute.

Don't know. I don't speak to her. Haven't spoken to her since last December.

I think what it boils down to is Diva Girl and Mom being sick of each other. Which is a hole Mom dug herself into by allowing Diva Girl to be so freaking demanding all the time. Diva Girl said "Mom just drives me crazy and I want to get away from here." Right. Because Diva Girl is the one who comes first, always.

I find it fascinating that the plane ticket never came up before. Now all of a sudden while Mom is under anesthesia Diva Girl tells me that MOM wants her to fly home with me. Hmmm.

While I was making lunch for Princess I remembered that Diva Girl doesn't have any ID, so she CAN'T fly! Her learner's permit expired, and there is NO WAY I would chance her being able to fly with it. That needs to be renewed before anybody buys plane tickets for her.

My own license will expire while we are at WDW. I renewed it online so I REALLY hope the replacement comes soon! I think I printed off some paper that says the renewal is pending. Maybe I should look for that paper.

I didn't think that minors needed an id. Is she 18 :confused3

AnneMarie I made our shirts a while ago. We have the AK ones that I sewed and made a coordinating iron on for the boys, The patriotic Mickey design, the lime green swirly head design, the royal blue tie dyes, last years tie dyes, last years HS design, The hidden character shirts, matching polos from Disneyshopping. I'm sure there are more, but they are packed and that's what I remember off the top of my head

Oh yeah, the hawaiian Mickey shirts too.

I didn't think that minors needed an id. Is she 18 :confused3
Does she have a school ID? She could always get a regular 'walkers' ID from your dept. of motor vehicles. They have those for people who need and ID but don't need a driver's license. She should be able to get that on the spot.

Oh I you will all be happy to know that I asked about a mammogram. I asked the DR. about it & he gave me the paperwork to take to the hospital. But I forgot it at his office :rolleyes1 They just called & are putting them in the mail for me.

Good for you! :thumbsup2

Great job on the shirts! The kids look so cute! What other shirts are you making? I just started thinking about making some new shirts this morning for August.

Deb - Cute shirts!!
I know minors typically don't need ID, but if she is flying by herself it would be good to have. I guess she could attempt to fly with her birth certificate, but if she is denied boarding she will just be stuck! And if I pay for her ticket and she ends up not flying because she lacks proper ID I will be beyond irate.

Not sure of they have school IDs. Those aren't "government issued" so I wouldn't want to depend on that. A state ID card would be a good idea while they sort out what to do about her driving. Mom doesn't want her to have a regular license until she does driver's ed. But they haven't signed her up for driver's ed. It goes round and round. :headache:

Today is my 45 day mark. Other than making sure Magical Express has our flight info is there anything else that happens at 45 days? My brain is addled.

Deb the shirts look great! Are these the instructions that you read:

I think that is it other than having any room packages paid off.

That means my 45 day mark is not to far away :cool1:

I, by chance, just found and pulled a tick out of my hairline. Now I've got the heebie jeebies and "feel" things crawling all over me. I'm so not the outdoorsy kind of girl.

That reminds me. I need to call ME for our August trip and give them all the flight info. I also need to call and make sure the DDP is added.

:scared1: I would be freaking out myself!

Thankfully none of our stuff counts as a package.
Yep! Your 45 day mark is closing in!

Ewwww!
I had the weirdest dream last night. There was some "bug" group standing outside of Target. They were putting bugs on everybody as they walked into the store. First they put a red caterpillar on me after I told them NOT to. Then the girl got this big spider (a kind of whitish spider, not like a huge brown furry one, but still s spider) and tried to put that on me. That's where I got nasty with her. Then I ended up with these teeny, tiny green bugs on my thumb. They bit really, really hard and drew blood. I stomped into Target to tell them I was never going to shop there again but the dream ended before I found a manager. :rotfl:

That reminds me. I need to call ME for our August trip and give them all the flight info. I also need to call and make sure the DDP is added.

Our DDP is added. It is really, really added. :rolleyes1 I think I have managed to use all 21 credits.

I called and took the one night off of our WL ressie that I replaced with the SSR one. The CM checked for a AAA rate on the 3 remaining nights. Of course there wasn't one. :headache: And since the AP site is still working I don't think we'll see AP rates tomorrow. I have to be up early tomorrow to print my SW boarding pass, so I will probably call for AP rates anyway.

icky!!

Thank you for posting that! You are beautiful!

WOW! Great picture!

Thank you! :)

Amy - You look great, and Matty is a pretty good photographer!

I managed to take off the weight I gained on the cruise but have been pretty much at a standstill, so I joined the gym yesterday to "kick it up a notch", now to make myself go. I pass it on my way home from work everyday so my plan is to stop in after work, hopefully I won't make excuses not to.

Thanks!

Congratulations on knocking off the cruise pounds so quickly! You should consider creating yourself a little reward chart to motivate you to go to the gym. Nothing wrong with a little extrinsic motivation for adults! :thumbsup2

Amy ya look great.

Thank you Heidi. :)

Well, I better get off of here and get a nap in.
We are driving up to Sandusky this afternoon, visiting the park, and then staying overnight. We are spending all day tomorrow at Cedar Point, and then the long drive home.
I think I better rethink our clothing choices. It is only forcast to be a high of 65 tomorrow with scattered showers. Brrr... I was hoping for a little cooler weather, but with the lake breezes, I bet we will be cold!
Hopefully I can check back in on Thursday! I am taking the camera so I hope to have some pics to share with you.

Amy, great pictures!

Thanks Tom! I hope you have a great trip to Cedar Point and that the weather cooperates! Can't wait to see pictures!

I think this photo is beautiful... and so are you. You look delighted to be pregnant and that is amazing at this point in your pregnancy! ;)

Now you know how you all look to him! Adorable!

Poor Matty sees my triple chin all day long! :rotfl:

I'll just pretend I'm delighted to be pregnant when I look at that picture from now on. I was really just flashing a cheesy smile to my husband who was looming over me! :teeth:

You are beautiful!

Thank you Beth!

can somebody please take the humidity away??? Yes I said it's humid...it's not even all that warm but I was sweating walking to work this morning....HUMIDITY is blechy!!

Alyssa still calls the sun "Ray" (something she picked up from Bear in the Big Blue House). We call humidity "Ray's nemesis!" :rotfl:

Mom is in recovery.

They did a lumpectomy. Her lymph nodes are cancerous, so she will have to do chemo and radiation. :( They are keeping her overnight and she'll go home tomorrow. My aunt said they told Mom she can drive in 3 or 4 days, so she won't have too much downtime at all.
Her D&C went OK, they removed some polyps that will be sent for biopsy.

:wizard:  :wizard:  :wizard:

I have my urology tests Fri am and then BK's party Fri night and the boys on Sat am. VBS starts Monday, and then next Saturday we take the kids to B'ham to stay with John's parents for a week. BUSY! But I am so looking forward to our week alone again...

Hi Denise! :wave2: You have been going nonstop since school let out! :wizard: for Friday!

This is me today

I hope your meds kick in ASAP Janet!

Here are the kids in the shirts that they painted today. We added some ribbon to summer's to girl it up and make it match her "minnie" shorts

That's a great picture (Colby cracks me up!) and the shirts look super!

I, by chance, just found and pulled a tick out of my hairline. Now I've got the heebie jeebies and "feel" things crawling all over me. I'm so not the outdoorsy kind of girl.

Oh yuck! I've never even seen a tick, but the whole concept gives me the heebie jeebies!

Back from the doctor's...

I am 3 cm dialated and 60% effaced, which of course, means nothing! :)

I am scheduled for an induction at 7:00 a.m. on July 4th. Noah could very well be a firecracker baby! :goodvibes

Growing up, I always thought that the firecrackers were just an early present for me...for Noah they really will be!!:thumbsup2

Nope, those are not the instruction. I'll see if I can find them.

EEEeeewwww I hate ticks...well actually I hate all bugs.

:wizard: :wizard: That he makes his appearance before then.

Chris keeps asking me for a kitchen sink design so this is what I've come up with thus far. The background is supposed to mimmick the walls at Beaches and Cream. It will go on a grey t-shirt.

I think I like the first one the best, but not sure how the music line plays into it :lmao: I'm not sure that Chris will like any of them :confused3

I searched the Family Fun site but did not see the article that we glanced at. I'm sure it wasn't a new edition as the dentist always has dated magazines :confused3 It really wasn't hard you can just wing it

I just came in from weeding outside for about an hour. Luckily most of it was in the shade. Plus I pruned a lot of the tree that get the spindly branches growing out from the bottomof the trunk. You're probably not supposed to do that but I can't stand them. I also went around the entire fence and pruned all the ivy-type stuff that is growing up the wires. Now I'm cooling off. Oh, by the way, day 2 into summer vacation and my kids have both wanted to go to daycare. I kept them enrolled throughout the summer even though I'm off, because for the school-agers they do various field trips, plus there is a pool there too. Tomorrow Nicholas' group goes on a trip to Belmont http://www.umw.edu/gari_melchers/ home of American painter Gari Melchers, and then on Thursday they both get to go to Funland and play putt-putt, as well as play in the arcade. So I've been taking them around 10 and picking them up at 3, after their swim time. Oh well, it gives them something to do and they can play with their friends. Maybe on Friday they will want to stay home with me. :(

Sometimes I think it just gets worse as they get older and other times they all want to be around me. :)

I don't think it is a bad idea for her to come down here. I think it is a bad idea to blindside me with it and expect me to pay for her ticket. I told DH I am fine with buying her a CHEAP ticket. I will research it and book when I can find a low fare. It's not like there are specific dates she has to be here. I'm doing it to give Mom a break, but it really chaps my tushy that I am footing the bill to transport Diva Girl so she can go provide childcare for Ms. Selfish.

Since I am about to go up for the THIRD time and Ms. Selfish has yet to do ANYTHING, the least she could do is pay for Diva Girl's plane ticket.
 pixiedust: that it all works out!

This is me today  I woke up with a sore throat which was giving me a earache. I was hoping to call the Dr. & just have antibiotics order, nope I had to go in. I have a very bad sinus infection which has inflamed my throat, which in turn has caused a blockage in my ear. So my ear is full of fluid. It hurts to swallow & my ear is, well hurting pretty bad. He said this has been coming on for a while, but I have not noticed any symptoms. I felt fine when I went to bed last night :confused3

He gave me some nasal spray & called in a couple of prescriptions, now I am waiting to go pick them up. I hate feeling this way & I swear the older I get the worse stuff like this hits me.
pixiedust: that you are all better soon!

So here are a few pics.

The cake from father's day

I love the cake and the shirts! I wonder if there is someway I could have the kids make those and not have Miles suspect anything. Hmmm...

Noah will definitely be here soon! Laura's synchro competition is 7/4.

I also searched the Family Fun site and didn't find anything. I have most of my old Family Fun magazines, though I don't remember seeing this project. So maybe it was a month I didn't really get a chance to look at the magazine. Do you know if it was from this year? I'll take a look through back issues a little later to see if I can find it.

I have spent most of the day working on a curriculum guide for my preschool class. I hope that this satisfies our new director. She actually told us that she didn't want them playing with blocks on a regular basis, because they aren't learning anything from that! I briefly documented the educational value of blocks in the preschool setting for her. I don't know if I'll make it more than one more year at this preschool. We'll see how much she tries to change things and her reasoning behind it.
