DDA Chapter 7

Robyn, you just made my morning! I even sent an oh-so-important text page to Kyle (in the middle of rounds, mind you :rolleyes1 ) to tell him that he HAS to harass someone and figure out when his stupid vacations are scheduled! I was being patient with the Spring one, since I can just hold an SSR reservation and can't do anything else anyway, but now I need to know which half of October he'll be off. We were planning a small getaway anyway, somewhere fairly close.... and during that month, Cleveland, Detroit, Milwaukee, Chicago and Atlanta -- all very doable road trips -- will have NKOTB tickets! It looks like they sell out as soon as they go on sale, so I told him he has NO time to waste anymore, now we have a deadline! :rotfl:

(He knows I'm TOTALLY serious, too!)

The top one is my favorite :goodvibes and in the bottom one, you can just tell how EXCITED she is!!!

Safe travels for you all today. Did you end up getting a fruit basket or not? If so, what did you think?

A few more pictures...

Because the day-to-day minutiae seem to escape all brilliantly talented people, it seems, this is what Kristin's diploma looks like:

We did... and it was delicious. But a lot was wasted because it was SO DARNED HUGE!! We could not finish it and it would not fit into the refrigerator. I also was a dummy and didn't bring anything I could have put the "detached" fruit into. :confused3

Poor Emma

Ditto, I hope Emma is feeling better today.

Robyn I hope the little ones feel better soon :wizard:

Becky hope you can relax some this weekend!

Deb good luck to the boys for their game tomorrow!

Thanks Janet. They seem to be better. I broke down and started medicine yesterday which seems to be helping.

Ditto on the rest of your post

Swimsuits are evil.
The only "marshall" I know about is the one on the golf course. So good luck with that!

Poor Emma! I hope she feels better quick!
Maybe the field marshall should have made them put the book in the car. :rolleyes1

Get some rest, Becky!!

You know, I wouldn't take care of the extra kids unless you REALLY want to. "No" is a magical word! ;) They can't MAKE you take care of their kids.

Tom, I am so sorry. :guilty: That must be very difficult for you. I hope the changes in medication are helpful. :wizard:

Robyn - I never liked NKOTB. I haven't paid any attention to their big come back, and I didn't know they were coming to Dallas. But if that floats your boat then I think you should go! :rotfl2:

Bernadette - We are enjoying your pics! And DH said to wish you a late happy birthday. :)

Babysitting was fine. The kids were WILD when I got there but they settled down by dinner time. They really are the only other family I sit for besides Princess. I guess I could do some networking and bulk up my clientele, but I don't really want to!
I came home and DS was asleep on the living room floor, lights and TV on. He was wearing his glasses, NOT wearing his retainers. And he got mad when I shooed him off to bed. Ungrateful thing.

I just found it to be funny that they would be in Dallas the same weekend. And since Joe took me to my first NKOTB concert I figured he wouldn't mind tagging along again.

Thanks, Robyn. I hope the girls wake up feeling better tomorrow. Keep Lucy away from them!

That has been the hardest, the older ones are constantly in her face. Hopefully she'll be spared.

We had a wonderful but busy day. First we went to see Narnia. It was good, but not enough Aslan. Caspian is VERY cute. :goodvibes: Then I took Alyssa to the mall to exchange some dresses and we ended up with even more clothes than we exchanged. I also took her to Libby Lu to buy something with a gift card she got for her bday. While we were doing that Bob and Nicholas went to the batting cage. He said Nicholas did real well. We'll see at his first practice on Monday night. Then we went to church and out to dinner. Somewhere in there I managed to do 3 loads of laundry too. Tomorrow, actually today, I need to go to the grocery store and do some more laundry. We also have a cookout to go to in the afternoon. I hope the rain holds off.

Sounds like a jam packed fun day. Emma is dying to see Narnia so I think that will be next weekend. She also wants to see Indiana Jones, so we have to watch the previous movies to catch up and refresh.

Well I got the shirts done, some shopping done, and I've started packing, still have a lot to get taken care of today.

How exciting!! You all are going to have a blast!

i know, i know..hopefully today!

Ugh--hope youc an fix it

Alot of peole in my family say this--i think its sweet!

Good morning everyone-Apparently I got sunburned pretty bad yesterday--also had razor burn on my leg so razor burn on top of sunburn hurts REALLY bad. So im all aloe'ed up and laying in bed for awhile until i acn move haha..So im actually watching Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and relaxing. Hopefully i can pack later today!

Ouch, I hope you feel better as the day goes on.

Robyn - I hope you got some rest last night and the girls are feeling better this morning.

Tammi - what about a weekend in Williamsburg or Charlottesville? They are very close and can be economical.

Thanks, and they are. I only wish they would sleep later than 6:30am.

Elin, your pictures are great! This one is priceless! :goodvibes

I agree, and I love that one as well.

(He knows I'm TOTALLY serious, too!)

I have the perfect solution, you can come here for their Oct 2nd concert in DC so we can go together. It seems none of my girlfriends want to go to the concerts. :sad2: My one girlfriend asked me if I was serious or not. Hello, did we not obsess for years over them?

I've downloaded their songs to my Ipod and have Emma loving them right now. She asked who they were and I told her they were the Jonas Brothers of my time. So she thinks they are pretty cool!

Thanks, Jennifer. I hope you all feel that way when you get to the last of my posts! :rotfl:

Absolutely!!

Well, hurry up, kiddo! I hope the sunburn and razor burn don't keep you down too long. It is almost time for that cruise!

Thanks--just relaxing a bit then ill stat sorting clothes! I have to wait for one of my parents to get home and tell me what suitcases they are taking so i dont taek the wrong one, pack everything, and have to unpack!

Elin--great ipctures!!

And, although I won't be attending the NKOTB concert, I would certainly head up that way for a DDA meet!! :thumbsup2

Robyn - I hope the girls are feeling better today! I don't know if DS wants to see Prince Caspian or not. :confused3 He wants to see Kung Fu Panda, and he wants to see Indiana Jones.
Are you that much younger than I am? Because NKOTB was my sister's thing, and she is 27 now. Or maybe that group was just too squeaky clean for my dark, twisty taste! :rotfl: I much prefer The Cure and The Smiths! ;)

Glynis - I hope you and Alan had a wonderful evening out!

Glynis, I hope the Chinese was tasty and the movie was fun! How did Katie do with her babysitting responsibilities?

That's so exciting... and you have plenty of time to spare, to make sure everything is still perfect! I hope you love DVC as much as we do! :goodvibes

Thanks! I know we will love AKV! I called to request Grandstand or Springs at SSR since we won't have a car. But with the reports of buses taking almost an HOUR we might have to suck it up and rent a car anyway. :sad2:

The top one is my favorite :goodvibes and in the bottom one, you can just tell how EXCITED she is!!!

Elin, what wonderful photos! :goodvibes And the fruit looks yummy! (Not as yummy as cake, but still yummy.)

TOM! Quit your job already!!!!!!! :faint:

Seriously, those are fantastic. You could make a fortune, and it seems there isn't anything you can't make! I'd try and get that started ASAP, if it were me! :thumbsup2

Oh just think of the Disney money! Those bags are beautiful!!!

Tom,
You need to seriously quit your job & make these things for a living. You have a real talent. Or at least do this part time because the bag & wallet are amazing. I am in awe.:worship:

Bernadette,
Hope Emma's feeling better today.:goodvibes

Janet,
Hope your card issue has been resolved. :goodvibes
I saw your post about the food pictures. Yummy!!!! I have to keep looking at yours & Chanon's tickers!!!!:dance3:

Tammi,
I still vote for NYC!!! I know a nice couple you could have dinner with!;)

Debbie,
Your trip is getting so close!

Jen,
Yours too!!

Elizabeth,
Sounds like you have gotten your plans all settled. So where are you eating in August? I tried to change some of mine but I am not having any luck.

And, although I won't be attending the NKOTB concert, I would certainly head up that way for a DDA meet!! :thumbsup2

See it's a good plan!!

I'm 33, which I don't think is all that much younger than you. My sister is 28 and while she says she hates NKOTB could sing every word of every song when I played it in the car one day.

Emma keeps telling everyone that she can't wait to get to Dallas to see Tutankhamen. Gail just gave her a book from the exhibit back in the 70's to look through. She hasn't put it down. Eric and I keep telling her that we don't think it's going to happen but she refuses to believe otherwise. She just has to see Tut she says.
