They are a nice size but I think the 4 of you can handle it over a weekend.

small or large? and do you get the arrangements or just the box of dipped pineapple??

Beth - I remember when you made those last year! they are lovely and I am certain that the teachers who were lucky enough to receive them loved them.

Oh, I don't know what size it was. A co-worker's wife sent one to the office for his birthday, and he shared with everyone.

Ditto. I don't know if I would have the patience to do all that 'creating'.

That's wonderful Theresa. I'm glad the girls had a great day!

Yay for a great day of birthday parties!

Beautiful! (But WAAAAYY too labor intensive for me!)

Anybody know where I can find a chart of the maintenance fees for the different DVC properties? I know it changes every year, we just want to see. We are back on the fence about buying in, and there is a property on resale right now that we may call back for before the end of the day. Just need to find that chart! :headache:

I'm really bad about shoes. I just can't get myself to spend money on them or to wear anything that I find uncomfortable.

So am I. I have wide feet. However, my sister has much larger feet as well as wide feet. She knew exactly which ones to have me try on that would be comfortable. I can't complain in that department. I usually don't buy shoes either (just like I don't buy myself clothes). However, I really did need some good ones for work.

I guess I need to borrow your sister. My feet are a 9W or so.

Beach Club Villas - $4.63
BoardWalk Villas - $4.85
Wilderness Lodge Villas - $4.72
Hilton Head - $4.98
Old Key West - $4.39
Saratoga Springs - $4.12
Vero Beach - $5.62

2006

OKW 4.24
BCV 4.48

Hope that helps! They really don't keep charts per se, since it does change each year. I think I remember hearing the average is an increase of 3-5%/year.

Nice to see you posting, Jennifer!

I read your blog to keep tabs on you, so I know you are doing fine. Your flowers are beautiful and your morning out sounds as if you had a wonderful time. I am very glad. :goodvibes

The neighbor twin girls have their first holy communion today and they are having a party afterwards. It starts around 1pm. Their twin boy cousins were baptized yesterday, let's just say my neighbor was not very happy because this date has been out there for like a year.

If I could find pointy shoes or heels that fit I would probably wear them. Since I can not I am relegated to whatever shoes come in shoe box size.  But if the are shoe box sized I walk out of them.;) As they are most likely too wide. If I buy men's shoes they are definitely too wide, but I can find them to fit length wise.

I really should do some cleaning. I also have a stack of books that I had requested from the library. They all came in at the same time. So I have 7 or 8 books here to read and like no time to read them. I would love to just sit and read, for a day or two.

Hope you all have a great day, can relax and just enjoy your day.

Glad that you all had a good time. :)

We had a grand time at the party yesterday!! It wasn't how Jim or I envisioned Cassidy's 16th to be but she enjoyed it.

We did have a "yikes" moment in the morning....as you all might remember I bought Cassidy necklace way back in January...well we took it out yesterday morning and it was tangled so badly it broke:eek: So we had to run and find a new necklace for the pendant (didn't want to send the whole thing off for the 2-3 week repair we paid for).

The girls loved their presents.....Abi's photo collage was the hit of the party and Cassidy was almost in tears with her present.

Thank you, Jennifer!! :goodvibes

Our plan was to buy at Vero Beach because the points are so much cheaper. We could book at 7 mos. for whatever studio was available at WDW and that would be that! BUT...
When I started looking at how much higher the maintenance fee/annual dues are at VB I decided that is probably NOT the way to go. If we pay a bit more per point then that price is what it is. Those annual fees go up every year and would quickly outpace whatever we saved on the point cost.

Right now there really aren't any deals up for resale that fit what we want, so we'll keep watching.

A co-worker of mine just bought resale at BWV for $84 pt. The smaller contracts go fast so you have to keep an eye out for them.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms in the DDA, the moms-to-be, and sending hugs to all of you who don't have your moms with you today.

We had horrible storms in Atlanta last night, so we were up. John let me sleep in, and then the kids brought me breakfast in bed. I got flowers from the kids that I have potted for our front porch and homemade cards. The best gifts were the trip to Disney and our Master bedroom redo.

You may want to think about buying where you want to stay....it seems to be getting more difficult to reserve at the 7 month window....unless you want to stay at OKW or SSR

Thank you, Jennifer!! :goodvibes

Well, it looks like maybe we have something we're interested in today after all!!

One of the SSR listings we wanted was coming up "sale pending" in their system, but not on the screen I was seeing. They did some checking and it turns out it is NOT sale pending! :) So we can go ahead and try for that one! That particular one won't be able to close the sale until January, which is fine with us because we don't need it until next Spring or Summer anyway. BUT that means we won't be owners until 2009. I bet the number of points required for a ressie go up each year on Jan.1. Uh-oh. Need to make another phone call!

The resale rep says the number of points needed for a ressie don't jump from year to year, so that's good. Closing in January shouldn't make any difference, then. Our use year will be March. Unless we don't qualify for the financing, in which case we won't be buying anything!

Kristine - I imagine we'll be staying at OKW because of the beds, but maybe not. :confused3 If SSR is all that's available then we'll stay there. If we can get a different property for the nights we want and still cover them with our points then we probably don't care where we stay.
