DDA Chapter 7

So I forgot my supervisor was going away. My vacation time is not approved and basically we are supposed to pay the cruise before she comes back.:headache: So now I am not sure what to do.:confused3 Our 90 days is the day she is back in the office. But Dreams unlimited wants it a few days earlier. They suggested paying it and if I am told not to go I could get a refund. If we let them know before the end of that day. So who knows what will happen. I hardly saw my supervisor at all this past week. All I know is my family is giving me tons of grief over the fact it is not approved and the uncertainty.

Also I really need to start buying summer attire. I do not have much and I know I will need it. I will not be able to find it later, if I wait. But I might need it sooner then I think. Let's just say all of this uncertainty is driving me nuts.:rolleyes1

I want to go on this trip, because I truly do not know when I will get to go through the Panama canal again. It may be a once in a lifetime opportunity. It is somewhere I have wanted to go for awhile.

This is the first night I have been home this week. I would have been out tonight but a co-worker is going to the event. I could have went and did something else but I decided to stay home. Tomorrow night I am going to an event at the Reading Phillies. Sunday I may be going to Hersheypark.

I hope all of you are doing well. :grouphug: :wizard: :flower3: :happytv: :surfweb: :cutie: :3dglasses

They look so cool! I think I need to save that site to my favorites! My mother isn't a big tea drinker or I'd send her some late to go along with the photo album that is going to arrive late. Hmmm...maybe I could send some to myself for my birthday. Wouldn't dh be surprised! :rotfl:

:thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

Here's some more from BestSmileys from my nephew.

Well, I am so bummed. I really didn't understand the closing schedule, so I was not sure about our two stores. Well after a really enjoyable evening, eating at TG Fridays, Stephanie and I walked to our Disney Store and inside, there were the most god awful signs announcing our store is closing. :sad1:

The one at the outlets will be open, but we wonder how long?

We did meet the nicest CM.

He really was just the nicest CM!!:goodvibes

My DGS is running around with his Disney Store ears on.::MickeyMo

I'm so sad.:sad1: :sad1:

PONK! PONK! PONK! That's my head. Hitting the wall. :headache:

I may have to enter a vote of no confidence in the oncologist.

The battery in my mom's phone was dead, but she finally got home and plugged it in so I was able to get through. Sooo...

From an external palpation the Dr. can't feel the tumor anymore. OK, so? So, there is where he stopped because now he doesn't know what to do next! He needs to talk to the surgeon, but she is out of the office until Wedenesday afternoon. AND he didn't know anything about any of the uterine biopsies! So no surgery has been scheduled because apparently the oncologist is completely befuddled by the tumor shrinking.

Hello? It's a hormone receptive tumor, her medication is a hormone blocker, blocking the estrogen shrinks the tumor. That's what is SUPPOSED to happen! And I don't even have an Associate's degree, let alone a medical license! :furious: Why didn't he order some sort of mammogram or ultrasound to mark the margins of the tumor and compare it against the original? Why didn't he order more bloodwork to see what the markers are doing? Why is the oncologist dead in the water without the surgeon to hold his hand? I REALLY hope the surgeon can formulate a plan QUICKLY. :sad2:

Mom told me AGAIN that I don't need to come up for the surgery, especially if something more serious happens later! Not sure what THAT might be! :scared: I told her AGAIN that Princess won't be here the first week of June, so me being home or being in Kansas has no bearing on anything - I'm not using vacation if I travel while Princess is gone.

So now we wait some more. We wait for the oncologist to figure out what needs to be done after he consults with the surgeon, then we wait for the OB/GYN to do more tests on 5/22 and either share those results with the oncologist or not. :headache: Insanity.

Those signs are truly hideous.
I have never been to the store at our outlet mall, but that is the newest one we have. It is staying open, along with 2 other stores in regular malls.

The asst. mgr. at my store (the one that's closing) said there was a provision that Disney had up to 280 days to close stores, but all of the ones that are closing in this first wave will be gone in 6 weeks. (Well, 5 weeks now.) I would think that the stores who were set to close and were then "saved" may be next to go, followed by others as their leases come up for renewal. There is speculation that Disney stores may only remain in really big markets OR that eventually they will whittle it down to just the online store. I guess we'll see what happens as the company gets rolling under Disney management. :confused3

Hi, DDA!

I am still about 10 pages behind, but just wanted to wish everyone a good Friday!

Tia - congrats on the new job, and the new car! Wow - what generosity! Stuff like that renews my faith in the human race. :goodvibes

Anne Marie - I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about the GF. I feel about that place like you feel about the BC - all our trips have just been extra special there, and we have always had such fantastic CM experiences!

Tammi and Elin - I was so relieved to see that you guys weren't some of the ones hurt by the storms. I tell you, I am ready for severe weather season to be over! It just seems to be really bad this year.

Elizabeth - lots of :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for your mom!! Let us know how it goes!

Anne Marie - any word on what your p/t CM benefits will be, now that Disney bought back TDS? I would seriously consider doing something there if I could, if the discount was great enough. (It probably wouldn't work out schedule-wise, but it's something to ponder...)

Theresa - been thinking/praying for your family a lot. Lots of   :wizard: :wizard: - this, too, shall pass, and you'll still have your family, no matter what roof you're under. Please let us know if there is anything we can do. Good luck with the b-day celebrations this weekend!Deb - yay for good shifts this weekend! I hope the lacrosse games are fun, too! :wizard:

thank you and thank you for the dittoable post!!

I am sorry Elizabeth

Now that I've caught up I am going to finish watching Sister Act II and get tshirts worked up!!

The 2 Sister Act movies are some of our favorites....in fact when Cassidy was a baby she would only stop fussing for 100 bottles of beer on the wall or the Sister Act soundtrack (wore through 2 tapes!!:rotfl: )

Hello everyone! I made it home this afternoon. Had a wonderful time, weather was perfect, parks were not to crowded(till Thursday night anyway), & I enjoyed meeting & spending time with Bernadette & Emma. I must say Emma is such a sweetie, I will miss her little laugh :goodvibes Bernadette is just as sweet & she even made me a journal to write in!

Had a great location just as requested, 60's lakeside, 1st floor, & I had a corner room. Bernadette & I were right next to each other. The area was very quiet, close to the foodcourt & bus stop.

A solo trip is something I will do again :thumbsup2 I did over do it my 1st full day, but what is new :rotfl: The top of my head is burnt(did not use sunscreen there)& I have a nice blister on the bottom of my foot(my fault for wearing my flips instead of crocs, lesson learned).

I need to go back & see what I have missed, chat with you all soon!

Great picture Kristine!

Other than that, I hosted Bill's side of the family for dinner this past weekend...I am still cleaning up from the festivities. Here's a pic...

Hang in there everyone...good thoughts to those in need....

Welcome home Janet!

Theresa- Hang in there!

Elizabeth- Try not to worry about things too much. I know easier said then done.

Wonderful news Tia! Hope Phil continues to feel better :wizard:

Well, everything looks good with Phil. They found no ulcer, just some gastritis (is that what you call some red infected looking area?). He's supposed to continue a half dose of the meds for a couple of months. They'll call with results of the sample they took to test for bacteria in the next week and do antibiotics if all is well. Otherwise, he's good to go unless something new comes up.
