Stephanie just left the office to drive down to her son's place. Her daughter-in-law's water just broke and she is on her way to the hospital for her c-section. I will try to keep in touch with her to find out how everything goes.

I got a call from Stephanie while I was coming home. It seems that little miss decided she didn't want to wait. She was ready to come out as soon as they got to the hospital

Parents, baby brother and new baby sister are doing just fine.

Does that mean she didn't have a C section? Congratulations

I'm so sorry about the job, Karen! The right job is out there, don't give up!

Glad you guys liked the italian chicken!

Karen I'm willing to bet that if you did a poll most of us are not in ideal jobs. I know that I'm doing what I'm doing just for the money, it is not something that I EVER thought I'd do or even something that I wanted to do. Good luck finding something.

I find myself wondering why I'm trying to get additional shifts when I came home with a whopping $22.50 tonight. I am amazed at how business has dropped off. We are only getting travellers, no locals. I would say that most people are spending $15 or less on a meal and no one is ordering drinks, water only. How are restaurants doing in your areas?

i think each area is different. We had sandwiches tonight with a drink each and our bill was $31 and then I added a $6 tip.

The place that we went to has been busy since they opened with new owners. I am not disappointed whenever I go there.

We have dropped over $70 there before. it makes a difference when you have a favorite place that you go back to a lot.

Depends on what night of the week. Around here there are still lines to get into most restaurants on the weekends, but I have noticed that the weeknights are slower at the downtown restaurants lately

I've quit going our to eat at lunch time, I figure the money I save should cover the increase in gas for my car at least. And with watching what I eat I can make better food at home so I really couldn't say.

Theresa - I wish I could do more, you reminded me of when my girls were young and I didn't know where I was going to get the money to get their Christmas layaway out, I felt like such a failure. Then one day my FIL showed up at our door and handed me the money, God has a way of taking care of us, not that he doesn't test our strength. I'll be praying for you to find the strength to get through this.

Glynis - Poor baby, I would be furious with the school for not calling. Sounds like you have some really wonderful and caring children.

Elizabeth - Poor DS is really having a rough time of it lately, PD for him and you.

It's way past my bedtime, and our new manager will be in the store tomorrow so I had better try and get some sleep.

Well, I think my life should calm down now. Famous last words, I'm sure. The parties are over, the birthday is over, and summer vacation is just around the corner.

Alyssa took cupcakes to school for her birthday, and she seemed to have a good day. She got all of her presents on Sunday so there wasn't anything for her to open today. I told her we would go out to dinner, wherever she wanted. She chose Logan's Steakhouse, because they take you up on the fireplace hearth and give you a "Big YEEHAW" for your bday, instead of singing. She wanted the YEEHAW! Now we are home and they are getting ready for bed. Nicholas has a field trip tomorrow, so I got his bag lunch all packed. I'm almost ready to fall into bed myself. Thank goodness my mom is still here to help out.

We hardly every order drinks...But I was so mad at our restaurant lunch for our anniversary...we paid $30 for 2 mediocre meals(with a coupon too!!). Believe me I tipped (better than I usually do just because we were hoping he was just having an off day).

Restaurants are feeling the pinch here....hardly anybody is going out...our case may be a bit extreme but everybody has closed their pocketbooks up.

We liked it when Cassidy and I got to see it in the theater...but we decided it was a rentable movie...not an ownable one. Hope you liked it!!

It has been an exciting day. My dear DIL went from holding a meeting to motherhood in 1 hour 19 minutes. Meeting over 3:30. Baby 4:49.

She is such a cutie. If I wasn't so tired I would post a picture. I'm exhausted.

The biggest upside for all of this is no surgery for my DDil!!! She is happy, painfree and able to hold her own baby!!! She is up walking and going to the potty by herself!! Such a change from last time. This is the way God intended.... We are all happy, and I'm going to hit these sheets!

My son and grandson are doing great too!!!
