Jennifer, glad to hear that Jeff was a big man and that he and Kyle stayed friends.

:yay: for passing your glucose test.

Oh, yeah...and I need a few opinions if anyone has them. I did something extremely impulsive last night (well, impulsive for me, I've actually been thinking about it for several weeks). I still can't believe that dh ok'd it.

Anyway, I'm taking my younger two to WDW in August! I have non-refundable airfare booked. This has to be a budget trip, and I have never stayed at any of the Value resorts (family of 5 and all). Pop or All-Stars?

Thanks!

we loved Pop...in fact Cass asked that we split the stay between Pop and wherever she decides for her grad trip.

I finally heard back from my mom about half an hour ago. The Dr. did a biopsy on the thickened area and sent a polyp she removed for pathology. Now we wait. :rolleyes1
I told my mother I was VERY concerned about the thickened area and explained to her how the cancer may spread to the uterus and present as an area of thickening. She had no idea that was a concern, so of course she didn't push the issue with the doctor. WHY am I the only one who knows these things?! I HOPE the OB/GYN has at least a passing interest in oncology, or that the oncologist mentioned it in the referral, or something! With her breast cancer being the more "rare" kind I just worry that something may get overlooked.

She can't remember when the biopsy is supposed to be back. :headache:

You've got it! I was on lots of progesterone suppositories to support the beginning of this pregnancy. I pray they caught it in time and you stay nice and high. How far along are you now? Hopefully you'll get to see the little heart flickering away and everything! :yay:

Thanks. I'm 8 weeks today. I'll have to take these pills until I'm 14 weeks at least. I'll do weekly tests to see how it's going. I'm hopeful that we'll see the heart tomorrow. That always makes it a bit more real. At this point, I'm just thankful for the morning sickness as it keeps things real.

I just got a phone call that I passed my 3-hour Glucose Tolerance Test with flying colors! You can only fail one out of four levels, and I was significantly lower than the cutoff on all 4! This isn't totally surprising to me, since my blood sugar tends to run EXTREMELY low (as in, I have frequently passed out without monitoring it). Somehow, though, I failed the challenge (I still think they mixed up my sample with someone else! :rotfl: ) so I assumed maybe things had swung the other way while my pancreas is working for 3 people. :confused3

Either way, I'm glad. Mostly because I was worried I'd have to go out and buy all of the supplies, only to end up in the hospital right after and not need my own! ;)

Yay!!! I'm so happy you passed the test! That's my least favorite of all the tests. I hate that nasty liquid!!! I don't know what they'll do for me this time around, since I can't have the sugar. Guess I'll have to work that out with the doctor.

Oh, you really should be able to see wonderful things! I will be praying diligently for your appointment. What time is it?

And I've been told, although boy does it NOT help when you keep throwing up through the third trimester ;), that morning sickness is a great sign! :thumbsup2

Lindsay - Here is my bag.

No actual photos because I don't have a camera at work! :rotfl2:
How much luggage do we have? Oh, my. Um...

A cheap 2 pc. set from Foley's that is in the storage unit.
A big, heavy, floral tapestry garment bag thing. I'm not sure where it is.
A nice Samsonite overnight bag that DH decided was too small.
A nice Samsonite laptop case that I didn't realize was for a laptop.
A rolling duffle that most of the interior is taken up by the frame of the bag.
Big Red, my 29" Samsonite.
Big Blue, DH's 29" Delsey.
2 big black Samsonites, maybe 24" each.
A no name black suitcase that matches the rolling duffle, maybe 23".
Little red, my Samsonite carry-on.
Little blue, DH's carry-on.
Little gray, DS's carry-on.
The souvenir duffle - packed flat in a checked bag, then carried on coming home.
The Magic bag (my "personal" item for carry-on, which is about to be retired.
The Crocs backpack (with tags still attached, which has now been displaced by the briefcase Baggalini.)
The brand new Baggallini "urban" backpack for the parks.
My old Adidas "mini" backpack that is coming apart, which will be retired.
DS's Croc backpack.
DH's backpack (filled with cameras in separate bags.)
Assorted other totes, backpacks, and camera bags that we don't use because we bought something else. :)

Do I win? :confused3

You know what? I think we have a 24" blue Delsey, too.

Yes, yes - you win!!!! :worship: :worship: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Good news!! Glad the results were all favorable!

Ditto! :thumbsup2

I hope the results are in your mom's favor. And I hope they come back soon!

Well, I suppose hearing from her is a start? Hopefully the biopsy results will come back completely normal. I'm sure, since they are even doing a biopsy, that they will look for all the right things! Hang in there, I know that it seems like there is something every day (and your mother isn't helping ;))!

They very likely could just make you eat the right diet for GDD and monitor your blood sugar for a while around the same time you would be tested. I hate the Glucola, too. The first time around it was all I could do to keep it down, as I literally gagged it back in barely the allowed amount of time. I sat by the toilet, swearing it was not going to stay in me! If I would have been unable to complete it, that is what my OB planned for me. To act as if I had GDD, which certainly never hurts anyone! I begged her to just do that instead of making me do the 3-hour, but she wouldn't have it.

Thanks, Jennifer. Her goal in life really is to make me completely nutzoid. She still hasn't filed the claim with her cancer policy that gives her $2000 upon initial diagnosis of internal cancer. Her out-of-pocket max is $1850, so the $2000 would get her over the hump to where her insurance covers 100%. BUT she hasn't filed the paperwork! :headache:

I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter.

She picked up something
off the ground and started to put it in her mouth.

I took the item away
from her and I asked her not to do that. 'Why?' my daughter asked.

'Because it's been on the ground, you don't know where it's been, it's
dirty, and probably has germs' I replied.

At this point, my daughter
looked at me with total admiration and asked, 'Momma, how do you know
all this stuff, you are so smart.' I was thinking quickly.

'All moms
know this stuff. It's on the Mom Test.

You have to know it, or they
don't let you be a Mom.

' We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes,
but she was evidently pondering this new information. 'OH...I get it!'
she beamed, 'So if you don't pass the test you have to be the dad.

''Exactly' I replied back with a big smile on my face.

When you're finished laughing, send this to a Mom..

Well I am going to be reall nosey, and even if we did this before just humor me, ok?

How did you meet your spouse/so?
We met at a bar which is pretty funny because neither of us drink much but I sure had a few that night. I had just graduated from college (in Dec) and my friend had also just graduated. She had met DH at a bar a few years earlier and they connected as friends because they were both Lithuanian. He called her the next day and asked her for my number then he called me and asked me to go the symphony with him. That was over 25 years ago. Our 23rd anniversary is in September.

Could I ask for some pixie dust for Saturday please? I am having 20+ people over for that cookout and the weather forecast is rather bleak.....thunderstorms. I don't mind cooking in the rain, but I don't know where I'll put all these people if they can't be outside on the deck!
:wizard: May the rain hold off until you want your guests to go home.;)

I'm going to beg some spare pixie dust if you've got it. I was told by my doctor that I'm not producing enough progesterone, so they've put me on a pill for that. I have to go to the doctor for an ultrasound tomorrow afternoon to make sure that all is well. Please send me good thoughts for a safe baby, and an ultrasound that shows that all is going well!

Thanks!
:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

8/13-8/22

I think I'm still in shock. We already have a big trip planned this year. I don't usually spend money like this, and dh is even less likely to approve such an expenditure.

Why Pop over the All-Stars? We will have to be on the buses, because I can't afford to rent a car. Is one better than the others that way?
:woohoo: I'm staying at ASMu (8/14-8/28) because were staying in a familiy suite and I think it might be the quietest of the values so good for DH. I've also read great things about activities they've been doing at the pool-like showing movies on an inflatable screen. And the rooms have been remodeled-some have the privacy curtains like the moderates and I think all have a peg board coat/hat rack like the moderates.

BUT...I really LOVE Pop!!! I like the frozen coke in the refillable mug. I like that it has a dedicated bus but then again if the lines at one of the AS resorts looks too long you could take any AS bus back to the resort and it would just be a short walk. I also like that Pop is on a lake-it just sort of adds to the atmosphere. I like the pools at Pop too but can't really say why they are any better than the AS's.

My daughter may freak out at that, but I'll run it by her. She wouldn't go to meet Bernadette and Anne Marie and was afraid that I was going to be hurt in someway. Of course, she doesn't even know about the trip yet. I'm trying to figure out how to spring it on them.
BUT...you survived that so now we're REAL friends not some ax murderers from the net.;)

I just got a phone call that I passed my 3-hour Glucose Tolerance Test with flying colors!
:woohoo:

Assorted other totes, backpacks, and camera bags that we don't use because we bought something else. :)

Do I win? :confused3

You know what? I think we have a 24" blue Delsey, too.
I have my Victorinox bag with detachable daypack, shoulder bag and waist pack. It was on clearance when I bought it and came with the daypack. I figured I "had" to get the shoulder bag and waist pack while I could. They were both on clearance for under $20.

I have my Victorinox large tote bag. I got this cheap too-under $20 and it retails for $150.:scared1: I think this will come with me in May.

I have a 25" rolling Travelpro-too easy to go over the weight limit on that. A 22" rolling Travelpro with garment section. An 18" carryon size rolling Travelpro. A doctor style carryon Travelpro.

A rolling LLBean duffle. A rolling Samsonite daypack.

An Eddie Bauer backpack duffle (big non rolling). A free smaller duffle from work. An Eddie Bauer soft suitcase. A Nike small duffle.

An Eddie Bauer briefcase/daypack. Eddie Bauer book bag daypack. The kids all have 1 rolling daypack. 2 Nike mesh backpacks-great for hot days in the parks and easy with security check.

The new Baggallini Urban Backpack and the new Baggallini A La Carte Bagg.

It's pretty funny that I have all this and only want to take 1 checked bag.:rotfl2:

You know, Bernadette, that is a waste of PERFECTLY good luggage. If you aren't careful your luggage is going to stage a revolt and go on a trip without you. :rolleyes1 You should really bring the maximum allowable checked luggage. :thumbsup2

Beth - So, just tell Laura if she doesn't want to meet us she can stay home (or in the room since you already have her airfare)! I bet Miles will be happy to meet the other boys! My DS, Janet's 2, Tammi's 1, Bernadette's 1, lots of friends for him!

Princess is calling DS and DH on her dead cell phone. :rotfl2: It is an old one that Dadboss gave her to play with.

Ok planners, I need ideas for a 40th birthday party in December. Dawn will be 40 this year, her birthday is Dec. 24th so I will have to have it earlier.

Jennifer - Awesome new signature!!!!!
i agree--i love it!

I vote for POP! just liked it better than the Allstars

 Maybe when the kids can carry their own.

We have one of those mesh Nike backpacks. But it is orange. REALLY orange, like a traffic cone. We've never used it.
My first one was a purple gray and has seen a lot of use. It is starting to fray a bit so when I found a navy one at Marshalls a few months ago I had to get it. I'm hoping to fit one in my Owner's locker.
