DDA Chapter 6

off topic...have any of you listened to Randy Pausch's "Last Lecture"

I saw it on Oprah. What an amazing lecture. He wrote it for his children that he won't live long enough to see grow up :sad2:

Boardwalk Bakery 407-939-5175...call this number and tell them you have a special request for Chef Kelly (geez, I hope that's her name....I tend to blot things out of my mind)

I do think that's her name. I can always go look for your post on the cake thread because I know you posted it there.
The more I think about it, the more I do think I will ask IPO to handle it. I want to see how well they handle the special requests, just because I am curious. Then when people ask "Is it worth it?" I will have something valid to contribute to the discussion.

Well, I haven't seen a single rumor that free dining will start 8/10, so I think I can relax and not worry about it! :rotfl2: Besides, I still haven't had a chance to sort out the travel insurance options so it is probably better if we don't have a package. Room only will be far easier to deal with if we have any sort of emergency.

DH's airfare is now down to $188 from $238 for the leg back from MCO. It started out at $178 when I first began tracking it. I almost think I should just book the darn flight and be done with it. The peace of mind of having him on the same flight in case he and DS have to fly without me might be worth it.
I would book it.

How thrilling for Daniel, and for you! WTG, slugger!

Thanks Tammi!

Anne Marie glad you are feeling better!
Thanks. I have IBS & when the symptoms are out & in full force it is very hard to run around town with 3 kids. My only choice is to stop eating alltogether until my system has time to settle down. Moms do not have time to be sick.:sad2:

 I have IBS too so I know from where you speak!

Good night, Anne Marie! I hope you feel better tomorrow! :wizard:

Kristine - I thought your cake was 8", but in your post you said it was only 6". I am hoping we can get something smaller than 10" (either 6" or 8"), so I think it is definitely a task for "Don".

it was a 6.....and it was more than enough

We'll have almost 2 weeks to finish it, but it will be stale before then! :rotfl2: I just get so confused reading that cake thread. There is no rhyme or reason to what you can and can not order - what they do for one person they won't do for the next one. Somebody said they were told the only way to choose your cake, filling and frosting was to order at least a 10" cake. But you got the EXACT cake that I want in a 6" version. :confused3 I don't even want a character pic on it - just fresh fruit or flowers or whatever. I'll e-mail and ask IPO to order the cake, and if they say they can't do it I will handle it myself.

the only way to get a 6 inch version of what you want is to talk directly to the chef...I even got her to put figment on the cake.....she was very nice

Elizabeth-glad your home safely! Emma does the same thing to her lips but won't use chap stick. I have to put it on in her sleep.

AnneMarie-hope you're feeling better soon. Congrats to Daniel!:woohoo:

Deb-good luck with your Manchester errands-doesn't seem like you have time for that. Hope everyone in your house is feeling better! Congrats to Nick!:woohoo:

Lindsay-I think I would have like TX this weekend. Cold and rainy here all weekend-30's/40's. I'm ready for spring. Hope you made progress with your taxes. I'm think I'm afraid to meet your Mom.;)

Janet-I'll review the Color Coded Matrix of fun and see what is available at Cape May.

:wizard: and  to everyone else.

Yesterday I washed all my fabric and ironed the 2 fabrics for Emma's new shirt, the 2 non Disney fabrics for Lizzy's shirt and the 3 fabrics for the sleep pants for the kids. I bought 2 patterns online from www.youcanmakethis.com Tom has used them. They are really cool! So today I made all the patterns for the 2 shirts and 3 pants and cut them all out. Only problem was I forgot to add the extra to the pants for the elastic casing and hem so now I'll have to add cuffs to the pants. I'm hoping I can find some nice fabrics to go with the pants so it will look nice and not just have to use the same fabric and have it look like a mistake. The patterns I bought have patterns for American Girl Dolls too but I haven't cut anything out for Molly yet. I hope I get my sewing machine back this week.

Good night, Elin!

All this thinking about cake has made me hungry for dessert. And I need to get a decent night's sleep.

I did call my friend who watched Princess for me on Friday, and she said everything went very well. She had a great time with Princess and she said if I need her to cover for me in the future she would be happy to do it. :)

OK... I just read this post on another board about the free dining promotion and wondered if you all think it is nasty?!!? And should it be reported???

That definitely was out of line. Who's kind? That is a very loaded statement and should definitely be reported.

I just watched some of this, I will have to watch the rest later.

Elizabeth thanks for the you tube link.

He sounds like a very special person, I still find it very sad :guilty:

listen to his lecture...it is quite enjoyable. Once of his dreams was to be an a Disney Imaginear
