DDA Chapter 6

and look at this further post! I predict they will lock that thread!!

I really dislike when someone posts only a few posts and start saying things like this! It isn't going to do any good to ban them because they'll just create another account. It is too bad that there are people in the world like this.

I know...but people like that are looking for a response....all their posts are only on that one thread...it seems it is someone with a free dining plan issue

I just wish people would just ignore the posts and stop egging them on. The best thing to do with rude people like that is ignore them. It is hard to do but is the best thing possible. No fuel for their fire.

It's really no big deal, the pictures just got to me :rotfl:

Joe & I did Cape May for the first time for breakfast in Jan and I really enjoyed it. I just took a peak at the matrix and think I would like Cape May if we can get a good time. I would love to be able to go late (more like a brunch) and be able to do Soarin before breakfast. I find the characters are really great at the late seatings. If we can't get a good time then I'm sure we'll have fun at O'Hanas. I don't have anything planed for Friday yet so Emma & I could always go Epcot at rope drop that day for Soarin'.

I think they phones might be busy tomorrow.

I think I'll go to bed. I'm freezing! Its in the 30's. It is supposed to be sunny and 60's on Wednesday!:cool1:

I got the blank notebook I had made from Walmart photo that I planned to use as an autograph book for Emma. I'm not happy with it at all. It didn't have a sturdy back, the photo quality was lousy, and the text wasn't centered correctly on the page. I'm hoping they will take it back because it wasn't worth $9.00. It would be much nicer if I glued a photo to a blank notebook. I'm disappointed because it seemed like such a great idea.

Sorry it was not what you were expecting. Hopefully you can get a refund!

Kristine, I love your designs. I enjoyed looking at all of them!

I never did get a nap today, but I have just a little energy left to entice Elizabeth with cake. :teeth:

These were the cupcakes I made for our play date and also for Alyssa's class:

My first attempt at a butterfly cake (Alyssa's actual birthday):

These were the cookies that were part of the goody bags at the Fancy Nancy party. I will never use the butterfly shape again...too many broken wings.

More pictures to come (not tonight though ;) ).

Good night all! I hope everyone has a great Monday!
Amy :)

Hi all! I'm sorry I have been terrible about keeping up. I have been reading many days, but run out of steam (physically and emotionally) before I can properly respond. Things are progressing well, work is busy as usual... I feel like a broken record ;) As my doctor put it, all the problems with this pregnancy are with mom -- the girls are both doing just fine. I suppose I can handle that :goodvibes

I'm sorry to just skim over most things, but I have been thinking of you all! Elizabeth, please know that you and your family continue to be in my prayers!

Please take care of yourselves, and PM me if you need anything before I can be around more! I will eventually get back with you, even if it takes a while (Amy :rolleyes1 )

Goodnight ladies!
So glad to hear the babies are doing great!

Tonight I look like someone punched me in the eye. I've had these raised bumps on my face that I guess are called millium. I've had them for several years. My mom has been after me to hae a dermatologist look at them so I had them removed today. It sounds gross but the poke a needle in the middle of them and pop them like a blackhead! I had at least 20 of them with some very small ones forming. She told me I would look bruised for a few days.
Oh, I hope you feel better!

i went to pets mart today to get another beta. mine died last week. well i came out with a 1 gallon tank set, 2 mollys, a snail, and a plant for the tank. I have it set up on my desk and my mom hasn't even noticed it:rotfl: . i am waiting to see how long it takes her. my desk is in the same room she sews in and she is sewing a quilt right now
Did she ever notice the new fish and tank?

You mean there's more?!? Like possibly a Goofy Gnome?? (Hey Janet, are you going during the Flower Fesival? :rolleyes1 )
I am, Channing. If you need something I'd be glad to pick it up.

I just received an email from AR (my favorite CM)

She wrote in part

I want to thank you for that great letter you wrote to WDW on my behalf. Believe it or not, it took until late January before it finally reached me. The good part was it was sent all the way up to the desk of Erin Wallace, WDW Senior Vice President of Operations and I was presented with a Disney "Star" Pin (really neat pin) and a special Cast Member Recognition and copy of the letter signed off by Erin "Arlene, thank you for making magical memories for our guests". It was read at one of our team meetings and I was presented the pin. It was really neat!! Thanks for making a magical moment for me.

I was surprised at the lengths that Disney went with this. I'm very impressed.
What a lovely gesture, Deb! WTG!

Don't know anything more about it, but I saw this mentioned on the Dec'08 code thread. Lyndsey - Don't know if you could take advantage of it. Bernadette, want to add a Dec trip, say the 5-15, and tag me on as a 2nd room? ;) :rotfl:
Thanks so much! I told John... and look at my ticker! We'll book it when we go in 3 weeks.

I'm sorry that I've been MIA the last few days. This week has been H E L L

Tuesday was the bus incident. It appears that 2 kids have been suspended as a result. Today I brought a box of chocolates out to the bus driver to Thank him for looking out for my kids. He was shocked, but I wanted him to know that we were thankful that he dealt appropriately with the situation. I also hope that it keeps him motivated to continue to do so.

Yesterday I stopped by Best Buy to check on the status of a TV that I had brought in for potential repair. I paid $35 to have them ship it to a repair center to be diagnoses. They were to call to let me know what was wrong and to give the a repair cost. The initial paperwork gave an estimate of $64 I hadn't heard anything so I stopped in last week and they were going to look into it and contact me, but still nothing. Yesterday they pull it up and tell me that it has been fixed and that I owe an additional $140 :scared1: I did not authorize the repair and certainly would not have. It is a 3 year old TV and I'd rather put that $140 into buying a new one with a warranty. I still have no idea what they plan to do about it as the tv did work (though poorly) before I dropped it off.

This morning I got up with high expectation of getting a lot done on Nick's room. I started by heading into Hunter's room to hang the closet doors. I inadvertedly put my hand on his desk only to leave a huge void. His entire room was covered in a white dust. I thought that my mother must have sanded while I was at work (which I had told her NOT to do). I started cleaning his room (which was completely brand spanken new on Monday. Then I noticed the dust on all of our electronics in the living room. After 4 hours of cleaning I was in tears as I felt like I had been set back by DAYS not just hours. I called my mother (crying no less) and she swore that she hadn't sanded, but she would come down to help me clean. As I went back into Nick's room I picked up a hammer that was speckled with white paint and the dust. Well I had used the hammer before work yesterday which meant the dust occurred last night. It turns out that Chris had used our new paint sprayer to pain the doors and it had created a white vapor that travelled throughout the house leaving a white dust. Thankfully it comes off by dusting, but what a mess. And to make matters worse the paint gun had left the door all blotchy so I had to hand paint them anyway. So now I am way behind schedule and totally stressed out. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.
Wow, you have had a rough week. I'm hoping it is better now and you've had a good weekend!

It is absolutely POURING here. The rain sounds like golfballs hitting the roof.
1.gif

2 weeks from today we will be heading to the airport & hopefully to wonderful sunny skies!
4.gif

Today my plan is to get all the kids clothes packed in their ziplocs & in the suitcase. They still have no idea!!!
2.gif
That is so exciting! I can't wait to hear all about it.

Good morning, it's cold and dreary outside. It is suppose to rain most of today and tomorrow so I am sure that Mo's soccer will be canceled.

Call me crazy but I am so excited today! The New Kids on the Block are going to be on the Today show this morning. :rotfl: My girlfriends and I were totally into them back when they were big. It's like going back in time, except they are all pushing 40, I think they need a name change!

Emma has early dismissal today. Of course, it's during nap time:headache: Tonight we are supposed to go out for my cousin's 21st birthday. I am not at all into the whole bar scene so it will be a long night.
Wow, talk about a blast from the past. Makes me feel so old!

THANK YOU!

Thank you so much for all of Alyssa's birthday wishes. She really got a kick out of seeing her name and all the clip art, especially the Fancy Nancy pictures. :goodvibes

Thanks Robyn, Mo, Emma, and Lucy for the cute Fancy Nancy ecard too!
Hope the party was fun!!!

I'm going to make cupcakes tonight for my brother's 40th birthday on Sunday. We have a baseball tournament this weekend for the select team that Andrew and my nephew are on, and Tres is one of the coaches, so we'll celebrate with the team. I also need to make peanut butter balls tonight to take for the tournament tomorrow. A good source of protein between games and the team loved them when I made them last weekend.

We've had thunderstorms and rain overnight (and it's still sprinkling) so the baseball game Jake has tonight may be rained out. Both boys have soccer games tomorrow, Andrew has that tournament 1 1/4 hours away, and Jake has a birthday party to attend.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! :)
Are you trying to rival Amy in her baking?? ;) Hope the games were a success!
Good morning, DDA. So far it's a dreary morning here today, but we're supposed to get some sun later, if not warmth.

I think I might be losing it today - first I heard talking in the car, though the radio wasn't on; then I was in the bathroom and kept hearing something like a small child calling out for someone, but Terra's still asleep; now I'm hearing loud bird sounds like they are in the house, but can't figure out where they're coming from. Maybe I need to go back to bed!
Did you ever figure out what the noises were?

Our mortgage officer just called me to let me know that our loan processor was killed in a car accident this morning. She was 27 years old. Our mortgage officer is having a very tough time dealing with it. What a tragic loss. She wanted us to know that our loan could be slowed by this. That is so unimportant in the whole spectum at this point :sad1:
That is so sad.

Whoo Hoo! I'm a guru! :teeth: And why does everyone think they are bothering me WHEN I'M AT WORK and DOING MY JOB?! :rotfl:

eta: but i'll still be up early calling!
I'll be thinking of you tomorrow as I'm sure you're going to be VERY busy!

Happy Friday, DDA!

Sorry I've been MIA again - this has just been one of THOSE weeks. I can't even really put my finger on what has me in a funk, but according to Jonathan I need to snap out of it! I'm hoping the weekend will help (although that does include doing taxes, cleaning, going to an art show and movie - neither of which I'm intersted in, etc., so who knows! ;) )

I've been reading along, but things are kind of a blur! Lots of :wizard:  :grouphug: :cheer2: for anyone I inadvertently miss!

And with that, I need to get back off of here. Have great afternoons!
I hope you've had a good weekend and are feeling more peppy! When are you going in December? We're looking at Dec 9-14.
I went to a different JoAnn's (farther from my office & home) last night as a coworker said she thought they had a better selection. I didn't think the selection was much better. I did buy more Cars fabric and she offered me what was left on the bolt at 75% off. I was hoping to find some racing checks for the lining on Emma's new shirt but the fabric they had was a poly blend and I like 100% cotton better. I bought some non Disney fabric to make Lizzy a shirt because they didn't have the Pooh fabric I was looking for. I was going to buy a few Butterick patterns at 2/$3 (instead of $5.99 each) but that 3 day only sale (Thu/Fri/Sat) isn't until next week.:headache: I stopped at the store closer to my house on the way home and they had the Pooh fabric so I got that and a plain white fabric to use as the lining. The clerk at this store offered me the remnant on the bolt at 50% off. It was only $1.99/yd so I didn't even ask why not 75%.:confused3 Then I went across the street to the only Walmart around here that still has fabric and found the checkered fabric in 100% cotton.

Lizzy LOVES the fabric! She wants a dress but I told her to let me make the shirt first.

Hopefully I'll get my machine back from the cleaning before next weekend and I can go back to JoAnn's for the Butterick patterns.

The kids are supposed to start soccer tomorrow but its pouring here today so I'm thinking it might get canceled. Lizzy goes 8:30 to 10:00, Joe goes 10:45 to 12:15 and Emma is 1:15 to 2:30.

Hello all. :wave2:

Just a quick check in.

Mom had complete knee replacement on March 27th, so there were more doctor visits before then.
3 days in the surgery center, and now I run back and forth during the day to take care of her, as Dawn works nights and is sleeping during the day.

Hope all is well with everyone. pixiedust: :grouphug: pixiedust: and :grouphug: all around.

Heidi
Sending your mom get well soon vibes!

Did you guys that rent strollers see that the prices are going up? There seems to be a lot of upset people. The double strollers are doubling in cost it looks like.
That is just unbelievable. Now, I'm in a quandry for Rees as his wheelchair won't be in before we leave. I had planned on renting one there for him, but now I'll have to look elsewhere.

We got Alvin and the Chipmunks and are having movie night. I hope it rains hard enough for our 8AM soccer game to be canceled.

I hope everyone is having a nice evening.
My kids loved this movie and want me to buy the DVD now.

Mr. Magorium was okay...a little dark. Abi wouldn't watch it...not sure why
We didn't enjoy it at all.

It starts next Friday night for 4 weeks in a row. The one I am watching now is not new, but still a good way to get the WDW fix!
Oooh! Thanks, Elin! Rees wants to marry Samantha Brown. The entire reason we're staying at the BC is because of her episode there showing hte slide and Kitchen Sink.

I just check the travel channel and found this for 4-11, 9 pm EST.

She's been to the Disney theme parks, hotels and restaurants many times, but what are Samantha Brown's favorite picks when visiting the Mouse? Join Samantha as she travels to Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim, Calif., and Walt Disney World near Orlando, Fla. Read on to discover what Sam likes about Disney and why she likes it.

Favorite No. 1 - Tower of Terror
Where: Disney's Hollywood Studios

This attraction equals five minutes of scream therapy! It's a case of love-hate for Samantha, because she loves the sheer imagination put into this attraction but hates the thought of dropping 13 floors in an elevator shaft. This exhilarating ride lives up to its name, as well as its new slogan: Fear every drop!

Favorite No. 2 - Turtle Talk With Crush
Where: Innoventions at Epcot
This is truly one of Sam's favorite experiences. It's an animated show featuring the surfer-dude sea turtle from 'Finding Nemo.' But that's not the amazing part. Crush actually talks to Sam in an unscripted, spontaneous conversation. If you had the chance to talk to a turtle, what would you ask him? It's totally awesome, dude!

Favorite No. 3 - The Wanyama Safari
Where: Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge
For a unique adventure, Samantha chose Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge as her favorite place to stay at Walt Disney World. Her favorite thing to do at the lodge is go on the Wanyama Safari, which is open only to guests of the resort. Some travelers will spend just one night at Animal Kingdom Lodge to experience this two-hour adventure.

Favorite No. 4 - Soarin' Over California
Where: Disney's California Adventure at Disneyland
This captivating ride incorporates IMAX technology, motion simulators, and synchronized wind and scent machines. The virtual hand-gliding adventure begins with a swoop through the clouds above San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, then a float over a river alongside some majestic California redwoods. Other flyovers include a Sierras' ski resort, Yosemite Falls, the Anzo-Borrega Desert and the California coast - where it feels like Sam's feet can almost touch the waves.

Favorite No. 5 - Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage
Where: Tomorrowland at Disneyland
This new attraction submerges Sam into the sparkling waters of the Tomorrowland Lagoon. It's packed with colorful reefs, ancient ruins, exotic fish, massive whales and an erupting underwater volcano.

Favorite No. 6 - Chef's Table Experience
Where: Napa Rose Restaurant at Disney Grand Californian Hotel in Disneyland
Sam likes to share a table with other friends for a one-of-a-kind "Chef's Table" dinner. This restaurant boasts an impressive collection of award-winning California vintages, showcased in its exhibition wine cellar.

Favorite No. 7 - World Showcase
Where: EPCOT
Samantha has been to EPCOT nearly every time of year, but her favorite is winter when the World Showcase is dressed up in all its holiday finery and each country sets out to share its holiday or New Year traditions. Sam's favorite spot to stop for a quick refreshment is a little kiosk in front of the France pavilion. Her favorite drink is the Grand Marnier slush.

Favorite No. 8 - Single Passenger Line
Where: Test Track at EPCOT and other rides at all Disney parks

Sam's favorite secret for not spending valuable "ride time" standing in long lines - head for the "Single Passenger Line." Now, this line only works if you are single - or if your group agrees to be split up - because you will be! But it can cut the wait in line by more than half in some cases.

Favorite No. 9 - Roller Coasters
Where: Each park has them!
Samantha loves roller coasters. Her favorites include California Screamin' at Disney's California Adventure, Matterhorn Bobsleds at Disneyland and Expedition Everest at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Favorite No. 10 - Tropical Imports
Where: Adventureland at Disneyland
Sam's always hungry, so for a quick diversion she goes to one of her favorite snack places in Disneyland - Tropical Imports, a fresh fruit and juice stand in Adventureland.

Favorite No. 11 - Disneyland's Dream Suite
Where: New Orleans Square at Disneyland's Dream Suite
Sam used her "connections" to sneak a quick peek inside Disneyland's Dream Suite, which overlooks New Orleans Square Park. The suite was originally conceived by Walt Disney himself as a private apartment for his family and closest friends. Disney Imagineers uncovered his plans and used them as the inspiration for its design.

Favorite No. 12 - Parade of Dreams
Where: Disneyland
This parade features more than 100 performers, 20-foot-tall floats, confetti blasts, oversized puppets and the cast of characters everyone's grown to love.

Favorite No. 13 - Cirque du Soleil: La Nouba
Where: Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World
Cirque du Soleil's 'La Nouba' is one of the most extraordinary entertainment experiences Sam has ever seen. Roughly translated, La Nouba in French means to "party down" - and the 70 international performers do just that through a high-energy mix of mind-blowing breathtaking acrobatics and modern dance.

Favorite No. 14 - The California Grill
Where: Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World
Perched atop Walt Disney World's earliest resort destination, the Contemporary Resort, this modern dining room offers what Sam feels is the best food at Disney. But this is also Sam's secret spot to watch the fireworks above Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom. They have their own observation point, so whether you're sitting down to a gourmet meal or just catching a drink at the stylish bar, it's the perfect spot to watch Disney's Wishes fireworks.

Favorite No. 15 - Spectro Magic Parade
Where: Walt Disney World
Designed as a moving gallery for audiences along a darkened parade route, this show uses a techno-workshop full of lighting effects to re-create pixies and peacocks, sea horses and flying horses, flower gardens and fountains, and other whimsical creatures found at the Disney properties.

I managed to get our stuff packed for the weekend, some laundry done and I made roast beef, mashed potato, carrots and homemade gravy for dinner. We had Mom over for her birthday dinner. Dad was working so I sent a plate home for him. Nick baked her a strawberry cake and he frosted and decorated it himself. It really came out beautifully. She seemed happy. After dinner we put a coat of primer on Nick's walls. The primer is so dark that the room looks black. Hopefully the paint will brighten the walls up. The paint is a blueish gray color. We won't get to that until Sunday.

Actually, this has to do with a late life crisis. I do NOT want to end up like my mother. She is way too heavy and unhappy with herself. We are worried about whether she will be able to walk around Disney with us. I know that if I let it creep on, then I will end up the same as her.

I'm trying to follow in my dad's footsteps. In his 40's, he started running and got in shape. In his 50's and being a non-swimmer, he started scuba diving lessons and took his test to become certified when he went to visit my brother in Japan. Mom did this with him as well. I want to continue in his steps. I got my lifeguarding and high ropes instructor at 40. I need to start running and get in shape for whatever comes next.

sO I guess we're having a sleepover tonight. Kristi called because Chris brought a little convertible sports car home from work tonight and they wanted to see if someone would come over long enough for them to take a drive. She told Mom, "If you need something from Target or something we'll go to the one in the Valley and get it." (The Valley is about 12 miles away and there is a Target a quarter mile from Kristi's house. ) I told Mom to call back and tell her that I was needing some Ted Drewes. ;) So, Terra and I went over to play while they made an ice cream run. They hadn't even left yet when the lights went out (with the girls in the now-pitch-black basement, no less). I guess a car hit a light pole on the main street and knocked out the neighborhood. So, now the older kids will sleep here and they'll take Chase home when they come back with my frozen custard. :thumbsup2 I'd have offered to keep Chase overnight too, but she's been up crying at 2:30am twice this week. ;)
THANKS SO MUCH!!!

Pixie dust to all in need.:wizard: :wizard:

I have had the most amazing week not spent at Disney.:cloud9: Dinner for 8 turned into dinner for a dozen, but what a wonderful day this has been.

Just what the doctor ordered for me. My friends (that I went to Disney with in December) came here for spring break. Thier son and my grandson are bestest buds. :goodvibes With two trips to Chuck E Cheese, one trip to Hands On House, a stop at Choo Choo barn and a few shared meals. What a week.!:dance3: :dance3:

Then we just relaxed at my home. I hate leftovers. Well, I don't have to worry about that. There is not a drop of leftovers. I'm sipping the last of the cabernet sauvignon ( a wonderful John Shaw 2001) out of a Go Diego Go Dixie cup. Every glass is in the dishwasher...:woohoo: :woohoo: What a wonderful evening.

I think the boys are going to sleep until noon. My DGS did not have a nap. He was falling asleep standing up. Their DS was so tired, he had to be carried to the car.:goodvibes :goodvibes

I finally washed all the dishes and just turned on the dishwasher. I'm off to bed.:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Steffy, I'm so glad you're having a wonderful time! We spent the weekend with John's family and the kids LOVED it. This week is their Spring Break.

I bought a Cinderella dress for my niece. Do you think I did ok? Here is the lot I bought. She is a size 8. I paid more than I planned but it does have three dresses instead of just the one. My sister says my niece loves to play dress up and will want to keep the dress.

I'm off to bed. I will be driving to Lansing tomorrow so I don't know if I'll be on at all before leaving. I hope to leave by noon but who knows?! :lmao: Talk to you all later.

Well, no rain. I wish I could have a job where I was wrong 90% of the time and still get paid. We were supposed to have rain all afternoon and evening yesterday, into today, which we didn't. So that means we DO have our 8AM soccer game. Or they will cancel it at the last minute. Guess I better start getting ready. TTFN.

Good morning, Elin, and to the rest of you eventually.
That would be good odds, wouldn't it? I hope he won the game!

Good Morning DDA,

It has been another hectic week around here, but I was able to finally get things caught up from my week off at work. I don't have anyone to fill in, they just stack my paperwork up for me to handle when I get back.

Denise - be careful in your travels this weekend, you've got some bad weather headed in that direction. Hope your anniversary was wonderful..
Well it's been slow going but I have reached another mini goal, this one has extra meaning as I'm now at the weight I was in 1992, so I've taken off 16 years of weight gain. I had to go shopping for new under garments, I had a serious case of droopy drawers, . DH wants to know why when women lose weight they lose their breasts too, sorry. I also bought some jeans that fit as all my others were falling down, and I had to have something for work. I still didn't buy too many things as I've still got a long way to go. DH said I need to get rid of the bigger clothes, I use two closets so I think I will seperate them into one closet, getting rid of some but keeping some too. I've been down this road before and unfortunately I know how hard it is to maintain.

We're headed over to Mobile this afternoon to spend the evening and then attend a Banquet tomorrow, DD is being entered in the National Honor Society and they are having a Banquet in their honor.

I realized this week that one of my life goals will be met next month when DD receives her degreee, I've preached to my girls since they wre little that they would have a college education. I've always told them that if they were to get married and decide to be a stay at home Mom that that would be great, but they needed something to fall back on if they ever needed it. I'm very proud to say that they listened,.

Have a Great weekend friends!
We drove right through all the tornado warnings and missed them all! :wizard: WTG on your weight loss. You are AMAZING!!! Congrats! Droopy drawers is a good thing.

Hi and Bye! I gotta finish an assignment by noon and frankly I do not care anymore. Is this semester over already?? I have two assignments due Tuesday as well.

Talk to you all later. Sorry to be so negative, again.
Hang in there. You'll be done before you know it!

I hope that I am as successful as the two of you with my girls. It isn't looking good with Katrina. I'm hoping the counseling that she starts in a couple of weeks help her choose a career path. She is so much like me - I quit school for a few years until I could decide what I wanted to be. I met my goal and graduated by the time I was 30.
I think that's a great idea if you're unsure. I probably should have done the same. Instead, I graduated and then went back for a 2nd bachelors.

What a busy day we've had. Nicholas' team tied, 0-0. They all played really well, and he had a good time. From there we came home, Bob stayed with the kids and I went to the grocery store. Nicholas was to be at a friend's house at 11, then the rest of us went to a craft fair. I don't know why I get sucked into those. They never have anything that knocks my socks off. Alyssa had a bday party at Chuck E. Cheese at 2, and now we are home. Bob is mowing my grass and I'm doing laundry and DISing. Sshhhhh....don't tell him.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend!
Sounds like a fun day! What a good man you have.

just had to type and say that i am finally on my new computer

Thanks, Janet!!!

I had this huge multi quote going and the computer decided to crash and I lost it all! For lack of time, a big dose of and 's all around.

Molly had a soccer game today and she played hard. She landed face down in the dirt not once or twice but three times. The last time was by far the worse. She has a nasty bump on her forehead and bruises on both knees. One of the little girls on her team sort of pushed her down and then trampled on top of her. It wasn't on purpose, just little feet and bodies going much faster than they normally do. That girl was crying just as hard as Mo, she really thought she hurt her and felt so bad. Thankfully after a short clean up, dirt was up her nose, in her mouth and a thousand other places, Mo headed back out there and finished the game!

Emma is at my parent's for the night. Eric, Mo, Lucy and I went out for dinner, Cheeseburger in Paradise, then ran some errands.

I hope to be back after I get the girls off to bed!
Mo sounds like one tough young lady. Glad she wasn't hurt badly. Hope she's feeling better. And we love Cheeseburger in Paradise.

Go get em, Mo! It must have been a bad day for our girls. Mine was walking around the 4x4 that surround our swingset, using them as a balance beam. She tripped and landed on a stump in the yard, right on her upper thigh. She was screaming and crying that awful "I'm really hurt" cry and I went running across the yard to her. I thought she was swinging and fell off, and I had visions of a broken arm in my head. But she has a doosey of a contusion on her leg. It's going to be all kids of beautiful colors in the next few days.

Cheeseburger in Paradise has yummy salads!
Get well soon, Alyssa!

:cool1: :cool1: What did you end up buying?

Greetings from the Holiday Inn Express in Manchester, NH.

Today was a busy day. The kids bowled at 11:15, 12:30 and 4 PM. They bowl again tomorrow at 9:30 AM and 11:15 AM. Colby had some exceptional games today and Nick and Hunter bowled ok. They were pretty tired by the time they were done. After bowling Chris and DB took the kids to Chuck E Cheese and us girls went to the mall. I only bought a couple of pairs of underarmour shorts for Nick and a few kitchen items at the Disney store for me:rolleyes1 They were on clearance and another 25% off. Chris took the boys swimming when they got back. I had brought back sundaes so we had dessert and now most everyone is sleeping. Hunter is still watching tv though. Overall a good day.
Congrats to all 3 boys! Great job!

I really wish they would cancel Emma's soccer game at 12:30pm. It has been raining here since last night and is to continue into the afternoon. I am sure the fields are a muddy pit and I certainly am not looking forward to sitting in the rain.

My mom is coming over to stay with Molly and Lucy so we don't have to drag them out in this mess.

ETA: FINALLY! They canceled it.
Yea they cancelled it!

Hooray! I didn't even notice you edited it. We're going to the Reds game today (at least part of it, since we bought tickets a while ago) ... I'm glad the sun is finally shining here, but our grounds are a swamp too -- I was hoping for your sake they wouldn't have to play in it!
Hope you had fun at the game. The Braves aren't playing well at all.

Could you all pray for rain before 4pm for me? Lots O rain please????

Dana has a business dinner in the city & I have to take Daniel to his baseball game. I have become very close friends with the potty this week :sad2: & it's 40 degrees...I don't wanna go!!!!!!!
I hope you are feeling better.

Hello, All!

We're home! I'm tired and I have a ton of stuff to catch up on before tomorrow morning.

:wizard: and  to all!
I'm glad you got to spend time with your mom this weekend. You're in my prayers.

I can't remember if I posted or not, but Nick got straight A's for the 3rd consecutive marking period :thumbsup2 I'm not sure where all his motivation came from this year, but I hope that he doesn't lose it. I'll pick up Hunter's report card tomorrow as it didn't come home on Friday :confused3
WTG, Nick!

Chris and I painted Nick's room. It took a whole gallon  and that was over a tinted primer. The Ralph Lauren paint was very thick. I'm confident that one more coat tomorrow will finish the walls. I will still need to paint his window trim and the closet doors though. I need to pick up another gallon of paint so I will do that after the awards assembly in the morning and get to painting as early as possible. I'd like to be laying the flooring when Chris gets home. I keep telling myself...just keep swimming...just keep swimming.
You are truly the Energizer Bunny. Your house is going to look amazing.
Yesterday I washed all my fabric and ironed the 2 fabrics for Emma's new shirt, the 2 non Disney fabrics for Lizzy's shirt and the 3 fabrics for the sleep pants for the kids. I bought 2 patterns online from www.youcanmakethis.com Tom has used them. They are really cool! So today I made all the patterns for the 2 shirts and 3 pants and cut them all out. Only problem was I forgot to add the extra to the pants for the elastic casing and hem so now I'll have to add cuffs to the pants. I'm hoping I can find some nice fabrics to go with the pants so it will look nice and not just have to use the same fabric and have it look like a mistake. The patterns I bought have patterns for American Girl Dolls too but I haven't cut anything out for Molly yet. I hope I get my sewing machine back this week.
Can't wait to see the pictures.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. We're trying it for the first time this trip.

Good night all! I hope everyone has a great Monday!
Amy :)
YUMMY! Your kids are SOOOOO lucky to have you!

We had a good time with John's parents in Birmingham this weekend and saw his brother, SIL, and grandmother. We came home early as Rees and BK are sick, so I'll be headed to the doctor with them tomorrow. We are going to Huntsville on Thurs or Fri to see my grandmother and mom. This week is Spring Break for Atlanta.
