Everytime I watch a Disney special I get weepy and excited at the same time. I have got to go there to work! But not tonight... I am fighting a sore throat. And I know which little darling gave it to me on Monday! So, I took my vitamin C and a large glass of water and I think I will read a little.
Enjoy your evenings, everyone! Tomorrow is Saturday!

for the Disney dreams, and for battling that sore throat!
I got the chills reading someone's TR tonight. I think it just happens to those of us that "get it!"
I'm sorry, Lindsay.
Thanks, Tammi! In the end, it's a $5 piece of foam, but it just seems so stupid and pointless to have stolen it!
Lindsay - THANK YOU for all those comments! I think Bob and I are leaning towards the shrimp scampi for the dual fish/vegetarian option too. We won't have to worry about Kosher meals. Some might have a nut allergy, so that will be brought up since we seem to be leaning towards the Tuscan Stuffed Chicken.
My current problem is the pork tenderloin. If we fall in love with that would/should that be subbed for the chicken? Then my options become pork/beef/fish. And alot of red meat. And to me that just seems odd. So I'm leaning towards not even trying the pork just so I don't put myself in that that spot.
You're welcome.

After 8 years, I could probably choose a catering menu in my sleep!
I, too, would stick with the chicken/beef/fish, unless for some reason there's not an increase in price to add a 4th entree. Although pork is the "other white meat" I think chicken is the safer bet, and people would probably find it more odd if there wasn't a beef option!
Enjoy the tasting - that was one of my favorite parts of getting married!
Not that I know of. I'd hope people would know if they have a shellfish allergy...
You would hope!
Although I did have a partner at a party last year eat an
inordinate amount of shrimp. He ended up having a terrible reaction, and we had to take him to the hospital - very scary. He will never eat shrimp again, it's safe to say. And he had been eating it his whole life with no problems.
Not to scare you, though - that doesn't happen often!
Actually, this has to do with a late life crisis. I do NOT want to end up like my mother. She is way too heavy and unhappy with herself. We are worried about whether she will be able to walk around Disney with us. I know that if I let it creep on, then I will end up the same as her.
I'm trying to follow in my dad's footsteps. In his 40's, he started running and got in shape. In his 50's and being a non-swimmer, he started scuba diving lessons and took his test to become certified when he went to visit my brother in Japan. Mom did this with him as well. I want to continue in his steps. I got my lifeguarding and high ropes instructor at 40. I need to start running and get in shape for whatever comes next.
Good for you, Vicki! I hope you see success!
I see the same things with my IL's, vs. my parents. My FIL is probably close to 100-150 lbs. overweight, and cares to do nothing about it (has type II diabetes, high blood pressure, the works). My MIL is also overweight, but not as bad.
My dad was probably about 30 lbs. overweight, and I think he's lost close to 40 lbs. in the last year. My mom is 62, and wears a size 4 or 6.

They have both joined the gym in the last year, and hav become gym rats. My dad does spinning (as I told him, the 24-year olds I work with won't even do spinning!

), and my mom has a personal trainer.
I told Jonathan it's going to be embarassing that my parents will be all ripped on the beaches of Kauai this summer, and we'll be the pudgy duds with them.
