As usual, it sounds like a jam-packed week for you, Vicki! I am so delighted to hear you have some fun planned for next weekend with your sister.

Have a safe trip, Vicki!
I am sure your sister & her kids will be thrilled to see you! I know they will want to talk bout the WDW trip! :goodvibes

I have gone so above and beyond with this man...including him etc etc etc. (For God's sake, he wants to go on vacation with us!) So I will tell him if he wants to continue in this progressive relationship...he needs to MAN UP & SHUT UP...or he can go to being an every other weekend kind of dad.

Give an inch and they take a mile...
I think you are being too nice.

Well I need to get myself ready. I'm off to church and then grocery shopping. I know this day will go by quickly so I best get busy.

Have a great day.

Have a good one, Tammi!

Good morning all...Last night was a blast, just a bunch of friends playing cards and a good old fashioned witch session too. Just what I needed!!

Today we are headed to my niece's birthday party. The girls are very excited, it's a swim party. Daddy not so much as he is the one to go swimming. I get to be the party photographer!

Janet, we are making corned beef and cabbage! Feel free to stop by tomorrow.

Amy- I'm sorry your having sleepless nights. They are no fun at all. Continued good thoughts for Julie

Kristine- Congrats on such a great job Mom. Jonathan seems he is right where he belongs.

Denise- Continued :wizard: for everyone in the Atlanta area.

Debbie- I can't remember if I congratulated you on your mini goal #2. I love the design!!!

Tammi- Bethany's puppy sounds perfect for her daddy.

Theresa- Can't wait to see some pics from the parade.

Elin- Glad you had a nice dinner.

Becky- I love your pics!!

For those I missed- :wizard:,'s and

I think there are some people who truly don't want to drive....It may be better than those who want to drive...buy are truly bad at it.

I agree with you 100%, Kristine! I think we may all be better off without her out there on the road on a regular basis.

I do wish she would just get her license so she has it. She has taken behind the wheel, so I know she can drive. I am not certain that would come across to the officer charged with giving her the test though! She doesn't need to use the license, but it would be there in an emergency situation.

"then the baby will be addicted to it" no clue how someone 3 weeks old can have any addictions...buy hey, that's just me. you know how it is...people get things in their mind...especially first time moms...you can't tell them a thing...nor would I want to... I just smiled & nodded...laughing on the inside

DS had a pacifier, and so did a few of my charges. Why don't they want the baby to have one?

DS has pretty good teachers this year. The science teacher is disorganized, which is bad because DS is disorganized, too. He already has a zero for one assignment that he says he turned in. I have e-mailed her about it.
The rest of them seem OK. His language arts teacher is GREAT, but I think she has been teaching for a long time. Same for the math teacher. His social studies teacher is young, but she is doing a good job.

I knew you weren't driving her around. I figured you had a better transportation system then we have here. We live 7 miles out of town in the country and her friends got tired of coming out here to get her.

Here at home we have a very limited public transportation system. She does not use it. But she is usually at home or out with friends when she is here. I keep thinking her friends will get tired of picking her up too, but so far, that has not been the case. :confused3

OK, let me throw this meal thing out there for those of you still on here to take a look at.

For our meals in September we have planned the following lunches: Biergarten, Coral Reef, Tutto Italia (or its replacement), and Chefs de France

Dinners include: California Grill, Citricos, Kona Cafe' and Yachtsman Steakhouse

We need another lunch now that we arrive in the a.m. instead of the early evening. Epcot will be a madhouse that Saturday since it is the first weekend of the F&W Festival. We would prefer to stay away from there that afternoon. We are eating a late dinner at CA Grill (Wishes is at 10:00 that night so it fits our dining preferences perfectly!) so we can eat a pretty substantial meal for lunch if we wish. We can use our DlxDDP or pay OOP using DDE. Any suggestions?

I'd have to agree with you, it is best to get one....Jonathan didn't get his til he was a senior in high school....then I bought him a car....it was downhill from there!!

Hi Deb! How are you guys doing?

We will be there May 31 - June 20.

I keep telling him he should take an adult swimming class...but he looks at me like I am crazy!

Neither of my parents swim. My Mom because she does not know how. Neither do her two sisters. The youngest can kind of swim, as she spent tons of time with my brother and I at the pool when we were younger.

My Dad knows how to swim, but it has been suggested by his doctors that if he does swim he keeps his head above the water as of all the sinus problems he has had.

My parents took my brother and I for swimming lessons at the local junior high when we were younger. First with the parent and me classes and then we continued to take them after those classes. The in Junior high we had swimming all three years in school. Had we went to the other Junior high swimming would have only been like one semester a year, I think as they were bussed. My parents will get in the pool but not swim.

I would spend entire summers basically in the pool. I urged my Mom to get into the water, even if she did not learn to swim just so she would feel comfortable in the water. I also would drag her onto thrill rides because I wanted to experience this stuff with her. Her parents would not let her do that type of stuff.

My cousins really do not know how to swim and this frustrates me to no end. Neither of their parents swim and so they never really taught them how or got them lessons. Basically the only swim lessons they have had is at Summer camp. I know years ago they had talked about them taking lessons, and then did not because they did not want to take them and pay so much as the closest place was pricey. I suggested taking them to the Y or another cheaper place, with me taking them but they did not want me to do it. So they are not good swimmers.

Glad you enjoyed yourself last night! I wish I could stop by, I love corned beef & cabbage :thumbsup2

How about lunch at the GF Cafe? I really enjoyed eating there, very nice & relaxed atmosphere.

what about hitting DTD...walking around a bit...and then eating lunch there?

House of Blues
Raglan Road
Fulton's

Is Concourse steak house at the Contemporary still open...you could do lunch there...it's close enough

Or, what about Brown Derby at MGM...one of my favorites...

ooohhh...the endless possibilities!!:)

Right. :rolleyes1 I guess I better learn to bite my tongue before I have grandchildren. Nah. I will just tell my DIL she is doing it all wrong. I know how to raise babies, people PAY me to do it, so obviously I am qualified to tell any DILs who come my way that they are doing it wrong! ;) :rotfl2:

Elin - Which places were you thinking of that you ended up not being able to fit into the schedule?

Off to check Deb's site for the menu. Thanks, Janet!

Looks yummy and right on the monorail since we are at the Poly. The other option would be to eat lunch at Kona Cafe' and then finding another dinner location later in the week...

DTD is a possibility, but not a place I really want to spend any time on this trip. Seems like a waste of our 4 1/2 days, you know? Been there, done that kind of thing. Although we have never eaten at Raglan Road and have discussed doing that one day...

Concourse Steakhouse closes May 31, or that is where we would be for sure. I wonder if they will have the new place open by September??? hmmmmm

We have not eaten at BD in years. another possibility.

Thanks, Kristine!

Since they are doing signature dinner they need to do a single credit lunch. Unless they want to pay OOP for lunch.

I don't think HOB or Fulton's take DDP, so again, it would be OOP for those.
We really like Wolfgang Puck Cafe at DTD, and they do take DDP.

Maybe Raglan Road would be a good choice, then! :)

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I hope DS picks out the most amazing woman to marry, Elizabeth!!

If it is a restaurant, we have considered it.... :rolleyes1

I did wonder about the "new" Tusker House lunch buffet. I am still angry with WDW for changing one of my favorite places on property. AK might be a good place to go that day anyway.

:rotfl2: hopefully your ds marries an easy going chick (like me) ;):lmao::lmao:
