DDA Chapter 5

Since they are doing signature dinner they need to do a single credit lunch. Unless they want to pay OOP for lunch.

I don't think HOB or Fulton's take DDP, so again, it would be OOP for those.
We really like Wolfgang Puck Cafe at DTD, and they do take DDP.

We also have DDE so we can pick from any number of places even if we have to pay OOP. So, that is not the defining reason for selecting a location. As I told Bob, no matter where we stay or where we eat, this trip will still be the cheapest WDW vacation we have ever taken because there are only 2 of us!

:rotfl2: hopefully your ds marries an easy going chick (like me) ;):lmao::lmao:

With my luck he will marry a girl like my sister who is more than happy to let her MIL raise her children just so she won't have to do it.

Elin - The Tusker House breakfast is lovely. We haven't tried the lunch.

I think there are some people who truly don't want to drive....It may be better than those who want to drive...buy are truly bad at it.

that would be me!! I can drive (in an emergency) but have never held a license.

The best transit system we've lived with is in Billings...metro denver's system stinks comparatively!!

It's pretty similar.
Foley's was always my favorite, but since Macy's took over I have just had to deal with it.

I like Dillard's because they have Wacoal bras and Jones NY Sport & Lauren clothing for me, and a decent selection of stuff for DH & DS. They also have good luggage and good home stuff like bedding and towels.

They do not run "coupon" sales like Macy's so unless something is marked down you pay full price. The pricing is also not uniform from one location to another which drives me batty. Their return policy is 30 days, period, the end. But they put bar codes on your purchases so you don't have to keep up with the receipts, which is nice. Several times a year they run an extra 30% off all clearance merchandise which is awesome!

We were in Dillard's today but with DH and DS it is impossible to accomplish anything.

Hey! Macy's isn't so bad. I've worked for them for 28 years. It would better if the head of the company didn't make 7million plus bonus (that equals over 40million a year) and pay the employees a decent wage to keep them. But it's not TOO bad!

The best time to get deals is in Feburary into March and August into September. Then all the clearance goes away. We have some good stuff out now that is $5 and $9 if you want to put away some winter stuff for next year.

I wish I would have tried it when we were alone in Feb...I am intrigued...but if we do it in June...I will need to address child care.

Macy's isn't BAD, I just liked Foley's BETTER. :) Lots of the employees are the same ones they had at Foley's, so that's good. And the sales are good. I just have ahard time buying winter stuff when the weather is getting warm. I want to buy stuff I can wear to WDW in August!

Has anyone gone to to Wolfgang Puck Upstairs?

Nope. I can't even recall if I have looked at the menu. :confused3

Nah. Just turn your kids loose in the parks. They'll be fine. ;)

So who is cooking corned beef & cabbage tomorrow? I would love to, but no one else would eat it :sad2:
I am cooking it, but Dana is the only one eating it!!:scared: :lmao:

Thankfully Jonathan made it home safely last night....he looks good. College has really agreed with that kid. He has informed us that he will not be home this summer..:sad1: he has accepted an internship...he will be doing research in a nuclear particle lab. Honestly, I didn't even understand what he was talking about...apparently this includes a trip to Switzerland. So he's pumped up to say the least. He will be graduating next year...1 year early....then off to grad school. This used to be the worlds laziest kid...and now he's an academic powerhouse...so there is hope for my Christopher! :rotfl2:
How wonderful!!! You must be so proud of him. :goodvibes

One of my friends worked for a family from Japan. The dad is a world famous bio-genetic researcher. He is so, so, so smart that he is literally befuddled by normal tasks. He just can not dumb down his thinking to a level that allows him to function like a regular guy. He is another one who just drives like a goofball, gets tons of tickets (in school zones! :scared1: ), leaves the house for an international flight 30 minutes before the plane takes off, that sort of thing.
Sounds like Daniel...he is so smart its scary but half the time he comes down with his jeans on backwards.

Elin,
I was going to suggest Yak & Yeti if you are AK. If you are by the MK that day, I'd try GF cafe.

Off to church!

I think I am going to convince Stephanie to go to an Irish Pub close to work for it. Don't think Hal has all the fixings for it. Maybe I can convince him to go out :teeth: :thumbsup2

It is such a good feeling when they 'get it'. Get him working on his passport right now if he does not have it!!!

:lmao:

Not quite the same, but this comment reminds me of something. This was when Riley was in preschool & Garrett was in 1st grade. I always laid the boys clothes out for school when I would be at work, so Gary would not have to worry about it. One day I came home from work & Garrett's clothes are very tight on him & his pants were very short. Riley's clothes were to big, they had put each others clothes on  I asked Gary if he noticed & he said that he wondered why Garrett's pants were so short :confused3

After being horrified that their teachers probably thought I was on drugs when I dressed them that morning, I did get a very good laugh out of it :rotfl: Luckily we never had that problem again!

Picturing them now just cracks me up :lmao:

Now that sounds like a good idea :thumbsup2

:rotfl2: this has me giggling so hard!!!

Off to take Kristin back to school. I will check in later on tonight. I hope you all have great days!

Popping in to say hi. And I need a good corned beef and cabbage recipe. That is hands down my favorite meal! YUMMY! Close second is Crab legs. And then my mom's pot roast.
