Good Afternoon DDA,

I love all the Kiddo's pictures, there sure are a bunch of cute ones here!

Amy - my favorite is the one of Matty hugging the snowman, is that a snowman kit or something, since we get snow here maybe once every 10 years I'm not familiar with it.

Robyn - Lucy is so photogenic, just like her sisters. I love the one with the tongue. And I also love pictures of babies with bare feet,

Jennifer - It's about time we got to see your two princess, I can't believe how much they've grown. Olivia looks like she is great at being a big sister.

Robyn - loads of PD for your BIL :wizard:

Deb - I hope your household is feeling better today.

Tammi - I love the idea of make your own pottery for Bob's birthday, I think I would let Bethany pick out what she wanted to paint for him, it really doesn't matter what it is, it's all about her being able to give it to him. Have I told you that I think this one is a keeper? I think you should tell your X thank you, if he hadn't decided he wanted a divorce you wouldn't have met such a wonderful man.

Theresa - glad to see you posting again, hope your feeling better.

Elin - hope your headache has vanished.

Terry - Congrats on 42 years!

Well, as sloooooowwww as it's going, I have finally reached mini goal number 2. I have had to do a little shopping for work pants, I put on my old ones this afternoon just to see how they fit now, they a waaaay to big now. So now it's on to number 3 which is a big one, when I make this goal I will weigh what I did when I had surgery in 1992, but even that is a long way from where I need to be. I'm off next week so if you have a little extra PD dto send this way I could use it, the days that I don't work are the hardest to stay on track, I hope to get some serious cleaning done, among doctor's visits, going to Wrestling and of course dying Easter Eggs with Brandon.

Sending good thoughts & lots of :wizard: to BIL & family!

Eric called his BIL and got an update, it's always best to go right to the source. His parents aren't ones for details. Apparently, his doctors have already done surgery to remove one testicle. They will biopsy it but are pretty certain that it is cancerous. Once they get the results they will then move forward. He is on medical leave for the next several weeks. I appreciate all the good thoughts and pixie dust. I am sure that it is a little scary for all of them since they are so far away from any of their family.

Congrats, Debbie! Good luck on your next goal!

Tammi - We have a pottery painting place and a place where you do tile mosaic pieces. At one time one of the chain photo stores (Picture People, maybe?) had a necktie with little pics of your child all over. It was cute, but DH never wore a tie.

There is a lizard on my (outside) windowsill. He was out there yesterday until Aurora spotted him and tried to jump through the glass. The tree is blooming, swan is in the lake, it looks so nice outside! :goodvibes

Cool, thanks for posting this!

For those of you heading to the World soon you might enjoy seeing the new arrivals:

LAKE BUENA VISTA , Fla. , March 13, 2008 -- Disney's animal care team has been busy over the past two weeks with the births of two new bundles of joy -- a female baby giraffe named Makena and a male baby zebra named Kidani.

Born on March 8, Kidani is the first Hartmann's Mountain Zebra born at Walt Disney World Resort. The Hartmann's Mountain Zebra is an endangered species native to Angola, Namibia and South Africa. Kidani was bred through the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Population Management Plan, which is a consortium of zoos and wildlife parks working together to conserve and breed animals.

Kidani was named for the new expansion of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, which will be named Kidani Village. The zebra currently weighs approximately 65 pounds and stands three and a half feet tall. Kidani's been known to kick up his heels and run around the yard, with his watchful mother Kari, nearby. As an adult male, Kidani could reach 800 pounds, and stand five feet tall.

Makena, which means "Happy One" in Swahili is the female giraffe born on Leap Day, February 29. At birth, she weighed 118 pounds and stood five feet, six inches tall. Makena was standing just one-and-a-half hours after birth and started nursing shortly after. Makena is the first calf for her mother, four-year-old Malaika, who was born at Disney's Animal Kingdom. When Makena grows up, she could be as tall as 15 feet. She is the eighth giraffe born at Disney since Disney's Animal Kingdom opened in 1998.

Both mothers and babies are doing well and are expected to rejoin their herds on the savannah at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge in the coming weeks.

Wonderful Debbie :woohoo: :cheer2:

Debbie,
Congrats on your minigoal. You are doing great.

Anne Marie are you packing yet? You are almost to your 30 day mark :cool1:

In the mail today:
A camera lens. DH will be pleased.
Ads, some work sales statement for DH (not sure why he still gets those since he's not on commission anymore), a notice that our insurance policies are being cancelled due to non-payment  , an application for DH to get a State Farm credit card (YAH, RIGHT!) and some sort of statement from the mystical MEA account that seems to say we have $49 left in there but no qualifying claims? Whatever.

So they are going to cancel 5 of our policies because they overbilled us? Cool. Saves me the trouble! Guess I should start shopping for insurance! And when I find some I will call and have the 6th policy cancelled, too! That one is on a separate billing schedule!

Tonight Eric and I found out that his BIL very possibly has testicular cancer. Apparently he's had something that he ignored for a while and my SIL finally forced him to the doctor's this past week. His Commanding Officer accompanied him as SIL was afraid he'd skip out on the appointment. BIL is not the type to go to the doctor's at all. I hope and pray that it's not as bad as they fear but I don't think that's the case. So if you all have any spare prayers and :wizard: for him I'd appreciate it.

Sending prayers for him and his family!

Great update! I'll second this, and also tell you WTG! Congrats on your progress! PD for success for next week!

Thanks for all of the PD for the audit. IT'S OVER! :yay: Relieved would be an understatement of how I'm feeling. :goodvibes

We got through both soccer practices, Jake's baseball, then Andrew's tournament team scrimmaged his rec team.... until 9 p.m.! He played with the rec team, since they haven't been practicing together as long. He got to pitch two innings (struck out several, but could have done better if he'd stayed in form) and had a great hit, caught a pop-up at second etc. A good night, just late.

I'm getting ready to leave work soon. A bath, wine and music are in my very near future...

Tomorrow is Andrew's first soccer game of the season, then we are off to the Great Wolf Lodge (an hour away) for a few days. Not as good as skiing, but sometimes we have to make sacrifices for work. They certainly did for me when Mom was sick.

Have a great weekend everyone! :)

Debbie,

I am so very proud of you.:goodvibes :cool1: :woohoo:

That must have been the best feeling putting on the work pants and them not fitting!!!!.

You can keep it up. Just remember each day is a day by itself. Don't look at the day before. It is past and done with.

Thanks for all the Congrats,

Marci - Congrats to you on the Audit being over, I think a bubble bath sounds perfect. :thumbsup2

With all the hassels, whether they were canceling or not I would be looking elsewhere. What a pain they have been!

So they are going to cancel 5 of our policies because they overbilled us? Cool. Saves me the trouble! Guess I should start shopping for insurance! And when I find some I will call and have the 6th policy cancelled, too! That one is on a separate billing schedule!

Have a wonderful time at the lodge, you deserve it!

No, they have no idea. They think we are taking the cruise & going the Kennedy Space Center & then going home. I am so glad I decided to keep it a secret!!!

Yes we sell them & yes they ALL stink!!! :snooty:
Do they know it is a Disney cruise?

Did you buy one of the stinky bags?

Bernadette - If the bag is permeable you can spray it with Febreze. If not you might want to save your receipt!
I think it might be permeable but its the paint on it that stinks. It smells like a plastic beach toy.

Then on Wed we have 8 (yes, 8!, we're a little crazy sometimes) people coming to stay through Sunday. 2 aunts and 6 cousins, plus a few more on Saturday for dinner. I think we'll do Easter dinner and egg hunting with all of the cousins on Saturday.
Wow Easter is coming up fast! Have fun!

Nick says that his throat just feels a little dry now and Hunter says that he feels terrific. Hopefully both will go to school tomorrow. Nick was very worried about a spelling test tomorrow as he didn't have the words at home to study. He called a friend tonight and got them so he was happy about that.
Glad to hear they are feeling better.

How cute!!!!

:wizard:

Good luck on getting it to air out. The bags I bought at the grocery store still stink, and I have had them forever it seems.
I never even noticed the smell on my grocery bags but they don't have too much printing on them. The entire front and back of this Disney bag is all ink.

I have no idea of the date of Jim and I's first date:lmao:
Me either but it was 25 years ago in Jan-we went to the Boston Symphony then went to a bar were some of the musicians were and they were all talking about their sex lives.:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

That sounds so spingy. Do you have room for a house guest? I can be quiet and don't mind the couch.

I still have a sinus head ache and my friend convinced me to try saline nose drops and I don't know if I've just disturbed things up there or I'm getting something new cause now I've got a post nasal drip thing going on and I think I have a slight fever. I am so sick of this!

OH....and my boss noticed that I pretty much just changed the dates on my review-don't know why he noticed this year he hasn't in the last 15 years so he gave it back to me today. That didn't help the head ache.:headache:

In the mail today:

:wizard: Good luck insurance shopping!

Those and Trixie Belden were my favorite books when I was a tween.

I loved Trixie Belden! I had the whole set. I had part in papaerback, then I got the rest in hardcover from my cousin. I read them in 4th & 5th grade.

Speaking of books...
I was telling DS about his book I had when I was little. A picture book about a pig who eats so much he explodes. I found it on eBay for $90!:scared1: I just called my mother to tell her. She said one of my sisters tore up my copy. I seem to recall our copy wasn't in good shape to begin with.

Bernadette - We would love to have you come stay on our couch! The drawbacks are that you would have cats in your face (well, Arabella at least) and DH gets up at 2 AM and turns lights on and bangs things around in the kitchen.
I hope your bag airs out. At least it doesn't smell like mildew.:scared:
I hope you start to feel better soon! This really has been dragging on for you! Sorry about the review. Really, what sort of new things does he want you to say?:confused3
DH is pleased with his new lens. He put it on the camera and took a few test shots with it before we left feedback for the seller. We still need to get him a tripod, then he should be set. 3 lenses, an extrnal flash, and a tripod is MORE than enough when you consider he really has no clue what he is doing. He does like the Sony book I got for him yesterday. He is asleep in the chair with it right now.:rotfl2:
