that sounds like a ton of fun:thumbsup2

I'll keep an eye out

it probably would but I convinced her to do an Ariel swim party.

Hear are my ideas.

Set up the pool and the sprinkler

Serve fish sticks and gold fish

Caprisuns or water

Cake or cupcakes

They have cute party favors at disney shopping. Just need to figure out a favor for the 2 boys age 3.

Any ideas. It will be Olivia age 5 her cousins girls 2 age 10, 1 age 9,2 age 7, 1 age 5 and the 2 boy cousins age 3. Along with Virginia and Megan who will be 9 months

Congrats to both you and Chris, Deb! :lovestruc

(Bob and I will celebrate the 40th  anniversary of our first date in May!!)

Thank you.. 40   :cloud9:

Happy Anniversary.

Wow first date for Hal and I was June 17, 1966. Blind date to Tu-Vu Drive In
We saw 'Trouble with Angels' and some other movie. We were too busy making out in the front seat!!!

Fourty-Two years went by fast :goodvibes :lmao: :cool1:
  :cloud9:

Our first date was a double date. I asked him out as my BF wanted to date a coworkers son, but didn't want to go out alone. I had met Chris at a weekly dance and was smitten with him. I tracked down his phone number and asked him out. I drove (he is younger and didn't have a license). We saw Lethal Weapon then I drove everyone home. I still remember praying that he call me the next day which he did  Oh yeah, I gave myself the WORST haircut ever before that date. I was so nervous and decided that I needed my bangs trimmed. I couldn't get them even and eventually there was only about 3/4" left :scared1: Since that didn't scare him off I figured nothing would :lmao:

Looking for suggestions.

I'm going to take Bethany shopping tomorrow to get her dad something for his birthday. I know her mom won't do it, and since Bob is going to be working on my car, I figure that's a perfect way to entertain her for awhile. Any ideas on something little but memorable?

I was thinking a nice picture frame. Maybe a Mickey or Goofy watch (Chris loves his)

Olivia wanted a super sleuth party. But I can't find party supplies on line so I convinced her to have an Ariel Party

Could you do a mystery dinner type party or even a pirate party with a treasure hunt?

Colby and I ended up taking Chris out to lunch. Nothing big, just low fat subs at Subway :goodvibes I think Chris appreciated that gesture. Then Colby and I went to a car wash. We always wash our own cars so this was new to both of us. It was kind of fun :thumbsup2 It's 55 degrees here and even though there is a couple of feet of snow on the ground it made me want to get out and do something. I'm sure they will be boiling sap tonight, but I'll be working.

We also signed the boys up for Lacrosse as Chris wasn't able to do it on Wednesday night. So that's another errand off the to do list.

I've seen some cute cupcake and cake ideas for swimming parties on Family Fun's site. You could even make mermaids out of teddy grahams. You could also do some sort of shell hunt with prizes in the shells :confused3 Like an easter egg hunt.

thanks Robyn I wonder how I missed that one I did a google search. But I think I will stick with the Ariel theme as its easier. LOL Plus her Birthday is July 12 so perfect for a swim party.

How fun for Molly! I remember when the boys were in grade school they would have Grandparents Day. They always enjoyed having lunch with grandma at school :goodvibes

Hope Eric is feeling better soon :wizard:

They all enjoyed yesterday a lot, even though my MIL doesn't look like she is enjoying herself!

Thanks, all he has is a head cold. He'll survive ;)

Yikes! Good thoughts for all of you as he deals with this!:wizard:

I saw that on the news.:scared:
Cute pics of your girls! It is definitely warm enough for shorts and sandals!:thumbsup2

Thanks Elizabeth.

Good morning, DDA! Just a quick pop in before heading out for the day. We're hitting an early (read: cheap :thumbsup2 ) showing of Horton and then will get done at just the right time to have lunch with Phil at work. After that, who knows. I guess starting to get some of the company-coming-cleaning that needs to be done. Namely, mop the kitchen which needs it, but is just hard to motivate for. Oh well, it will get done. Otherwise, I'll probably continue the stroll down memory lane as I scan some more pictures. It's been pretty interesting though is going to be a long process.

Have a good day everyone!!

Enjoy your day, it sounds wonderful! I am also anxious to hear your review!

Today is the 21st Anniversary of our first date   How are we celebrating? He's working today and I'm working tonight :lmao: At least we both have the weekend off though the kids have plenty of activities to keep us busy. We are also expecting a storm today and another on Sunday. When will winter end? We still need to make up on Snowboarding day, but It doesn't look like the weather will cooperate on Sunday and the Mountain closes at the end of the month :confused3

 How wonderful!

I remember Grandparents' Days too... it didn't matter where we lived (GA, NY, OH or VA) my parents were there for every single one. They got in their car in PA and drove wherever their beloved grand daughters were. What a wonderful memory you and Robyn brought back to me this morning, Janet. Thank you.

What great grandparents they had. I have wonderful memories of my grandparents coming to visit my classes.

Good Morning All!!

Today is the first day since Sunday that I have not woken with a headache of varying degrees.

Jennifer-those babies are just so precious:lovestruc ....and boy don't they look alike:goodvibes . For all of you who were commenting on Olivia's shorts....I am pretty sure it's been cooler here and Cassidy has been in shorts most of the week and flip flops:rotfl:

Robyn-I hope the diagnosis is not as dire as first heard. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Tia-tell us how the movie is....Cassidy is very disappointed in watching the commercials.

I had to break Abi's heart last night about girl scouts. She TOLD dad she was going to a meeting yesterday that I've been telling her I really don't want her with that troop anymore. After I talked to her about always ASKING me before doing anything (dad never says no)....I reminded her of why I don't want her in that troop anymore. A. Even though her best friend is in it they are the only 2 middle schoolers in it....they go down to the elementary school and add 10-12 4th and 5th graders (because of the leader's best friend's daughter..who is a spoiled brat). I have continually told her that I think she needs to be with girls her own age and maturity level. I am even willing to go back to being a leader. Then because this really wasn't registering with her...I got to tell her that even though I like her bf's mom, the leader, (and I do) she is not a person I want to be a moral guide/role model for Abi.

Boy I didn't mean to write quite as much as I did...thanks for "listening"

Thanks! I think you did the right thing.

Do you have a paint your own pottery place, Emma and Molly are looking forward to going to our to make Eric's Father's day gift!!! He's getting a Japanese noodle bowl.

That's beautiful that you still feel that way.

::yes::

I will check out Family fun

Eric called his BIL and got an update, it's always best to go right to the source. His parents aren't ones for details. Apparently, his doctors have already done surgery to remove one testicle. They will biopsy it but are pretty certain that it is cancerous. Once they get the results they will then move forward. He is on medical leave for the next several weeks. I appreciate all the good thoughts and pixie dust. I am sure that it is a little scary for all of them since they are so far away from any of their family.

Sending boatloads of pixie dust and prayers their way!!

Yes, and I was thinking of taking her there. He doesn't drink coffee or tea, so a mug is out. I'll have to pop in and see what all they have. I did the picture frame and photo of them last year for his bday.

:scared: Sounds very painful! :wizard:

For those of you heading to the World soon you might enjoy seeing the new arrivals:

LAKE BUENA VISTA , Fla. , March 13, 2008 -- Disney's animal care team has been busy over the past two weeks with the births of two new bundles of joy -- a female baby giraffe named Makena and a male baby zebra named Kidani.

Born on March 8, Kidani is the first Hartmann's Mountain Zebra born at Walt Disney World Resort. The Hartmann's Mountain Zebra is an endangered species native to Angola, Namibia and South Africa. Kidani was bred through the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) Population Management Plan, which is a consortium of zoos and wildlife parks working together to conserve and breed animals.

Kidani was named for the new expansion of Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas, which will be named Kidani Village. The zebra currently weighs approximately 65 pounds and stands three and a half feet tall. Kidani's been known to kick up his heels and run around the yard, with his watchful mother Kari, nearby. As an adult male, Kidani could reach 800 pounds, and stand five feet tall.

Makena, which means "Happy One" in Swahili is the female giraffe born on Leap Day, February 29. At birth, she weighed 118 pounds and stood five feet, six inches tall. Makena was standing just one-and-a-half hours after birth and started nursing shortly after. Makena is the first calf for her mother, four-year-old Malaika, who was born at Disney's Animal Kingdom. When Makena grows up, she could be as tall as 15 feet. She is the eighth giraffe born at Disney since Disney's Animal Kingdom opened in 1998.

Both mothers and babies are doing well and are expected to rejoin their herds on the savannah at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge in the coming weeks.

She could just paint a little knick knacky type thing for his desk (assuming he has one) She could make them matching dinner plates.

He told Eric he was in a lot of pain.

But the best part is is that my SIL now has to completely take care of the little one. He can't lift or hold her and he is the one who does most of the "taking care of" once they are all home. My SIL does not handle babies well at all. It brings a small smile to my face.

:scared: Sounds very painful! :wizard:

Gotta run, one of the mom's just called to pick up early. :cool1: Need to get him ready for when she gets here. Have a great day.
