DDA Chapter 5

The insurance notice says they are cancelling our policies on March 28. I have paid them all of the money we actually owe. Idiots. DH asked me if I called them, but that won't do any good. I will call towards the end of next week because our agent hasn't had time to do anything with the check I sent her the other day. If they can't sort it out in the 2 weeks between now and March 28 then not only will we switch insurance companies, I will have ExMomboss send them a nasty letter. I am really too lazy to switch insurance unless we HAVE to.

it probably would but I convinced her to do an Ariel swim party.

Hear are my ideas.

Set up the pool and the sprinkler

Serve fish sticks and gold fish

Caprisuns or water

Cake or cupcakes

They have cute party favors at disney shopping. Just need to figure out a favor for the 2 boys age 3.

Any ideas. It will be Olivia age 5 her cousins girls 2 age 10, 1 age 9,2 age 7, 1 age 5 and the 2 boy cousins age 3. Along with Virginia and Megan who will be 9 months

I like to go to Birthdaypartyideas.com for some ideas. This year we went to the the Young Chef's Academy and had a Ratatouille party. Last year we had a Jasmine party and I made the kids magic carpets and lots of other stuff. But I think next year she'll want to do something boring like going to video game places.

Awwww, I love this one. How adorable and what a wonderful sister moment. :goodvibes
that was my favorite picture too!

Deb - Happy 1st Date Anniversary to you two lovebirds.

aww ditto :)

i recommend the baby sitters club and baby sitters club little sister books by Ann M. Martin
i grew up reading this series!

Eric called his BIL and got an update, it's always best to go right to the source. His parents aren't ones for details. Apparently, his doctors have already done surgery to remove one testicle. They will biopsy it but are pretty certain that it is cancerous. Once they get the results they will then move forward. He is on medical leave for the next several weeks. I appreciate all the good thoughts and pixie dust. I am sure that it is a little scary for all of them since they are so far away from any of their family.

Robyn, ill keep BIL in my prayers

thanks that is the site I was looking for

Tammi - I love the idea of make your own pottery for Bob's birthday, I think I would let Bethany pick out what she wanted to paint for him, it really doesn't matter what it is, it's all about her being able to give it to him. Have I told you that I think this one is a keeper? I think you should tell your X thank you, if he hadn't decided he wanted a divorce you wouldn't have met such a wonderful man.
Thank you, Debbie. :goodvibes

And congrats on goal #2. I'm proud of you!!!:woohoo:

I'm getting ready to leave work soon. A bath, wine and music are in my very near future...

Tomorrow is Andrew's first soccer game of the season, then we are off to the Great Wolf Lodge (an hour away) for a few days. Not as good as skiing, but sometimes we have to make sacrifices for work. They certainly did for me when Mom was sick.

Have a great weekend everyone! :)
I was just sitting here wondering what I'm going to do with myself on Friday night without my kids here. You gave me some great ideas!

Good luck tomorrow, Andrew. We don't have our first game until April 5.

Hi Jen! Enjoy your time with your family!

The first place winner in Nicholas' classroom for Science Fair did an experiment on static electricity. She mixed salt and pepper together, took a blown up balloon and rubbed it on her shirt, then held the balloon over the S/P mixture to see which the static would attract.

He couldn't remember what the 2nd and 3rd place winners were.

Bernadette - We would love to have you come stay on our couch! The drawbacks are that you would have cats in your face (well, Arabella at least) and DH gets up at 2 AM and turns lights on and bangs things around in the kitchen.
I hope your bag airs out. At least it doesn't smell like mildew.:scared:
I hope you start to feel better soon! This really has been dragging on for you! Sorry about the review. Really, what sort of new things does he want you to say?:confused3
DH is pleased with his new lens. He put it on the camera and took a few test shots with it before we left feedback for the seller. We still need to get him a tripod, then he should be set. 3 lenses, an extrnal flash, and a tripod is MORE than enough when you consider he really has no clue what he is doing. He does like the Sony book I got for him yesterday. He is asleep in the chair with it right now.:rotfl2:
I bet Arabella weighs less them Emma. And I'm used to a DH making lots of noise.

My boss just wanted me to do it right-imagine that. With the question:
Since your last review, to what extent have you met your objectives? Give specific detail.-he actually wanted me to include the objectives from last year. I sort of just rambled on about what I had done so I did answer it in an indirect way. I just had to move things around a bit when I added in the actual objectives. I hope he thinks its ok now. Boy it sounds like I was being really lazy but I really just HATE, HATE, HATE doing it!!!

Glad DH is happy with his new lens. Hope you can find a good tripod. I wasn't real happy with mine. I should get it out with the directions again and see if I can make it work for me or if I could get a different head for it. I do like that it is lightweight and compact enough to easily fit in my backpack but I didn't like the lack of control I had with composing a photo when it was on the tripod. I didn't even bring it with me to Disney the past few trips-I just brought the gorilla pod.

That Ratatouille party sounds awesome!!!

Hello from colorado!
HI! Have a great time at the wedding!

that sounds like a good experiment....not that Nicholas' wasn't.

I forgot to say I so totally agree with Debbie....your x deserves a thanks...because of him you know what a great catch you have in Bob.

Has anyone seen Michael Clayton? or August Rush? They are both on PPV tonight. I might watch one.

Bernadette sorry to hear you are still not feeling well. Seems like this has really been hanging on

I still have a sinus head ache and my friend convinced me to try saline nose drops and I don't know if I've just disturbed things up there or I'm getting something new cause now I've got a post nasal drip thing going on and I think I have a slight fever. I am so sick of this!

:confused3 Sorry but that does not sound like a 1st place winning project to me.

Hi Jen, glad you made it safely. Enjoy tomorrow!

Is it possible that the science fair projects look too professional? In our school system if it looked too good, then the teachers suspected that the kids didn't do their own projects which got points knocked off.

DH and I have just had a huge epiphany moment. It is completely conterproductive for us NOT to have DS on his ADD meds over school breaks. DS just doesn't have the impulse control to think about his actions before he does things, then we get mad at him. The he feels bad and gets upset and we all go round and round. I think that from now on we won't be taking breaks from meds. I want to see if I can tell a difference in DS's mood and attitude. I tend to think I will. If not then we can think about not having him take meds over the summer.

:confused3 Sorry but that does not sound like a 1st place winning project to me.

Me, either. What did it PROVE? What was the point in doing that? What is the molecular difference between salt and pepper particles? And what was the control there? Completely violates the scientific method!:headache: That is precisely why I get SOOO irritated with Science Fair.

Jen - Have fun at the wedding!

Vicki - Who knows what motivates Science Fair judges?:confused3

your thinking like a grownup.....I think it would be cool to see:rotfl: In fact I may just do that to figure out which one is attracted or if both are. That whole positive and negative charge thing always gets me....of course I could play with magnets for HOURS!!:rotfl2:
