enjoy the movie & lunch with Phil!

Good morning, DDA! Just a quick pop in before heading out for the day. We're hitting an early (read: cheap :thumbsup2 ) showing of Horton and then will get done at just the right time to have lunch with Phil at work. After that, who knows. I guess starting to get some of the company-coming-cleaning that needs to be done. Namely, mop the kitchen which needs it, but is just hard to motivate for. Oh well, it will get done. Otherwise, I'll probably continue the stroll down memory lane as I scan some more pictures. It's been pretty interesting though is going to be a long process.

Have a good day everyone!!

Awwww, I love this one. How adorable and what a wonderful sister moment. :goodvibes

Robyn and Jennifer - Great pictures! Your babies are just growing up so much!

I'm sure that I had many other responses in my head throughout the day, but my mind just went blank. So I'll send lots of :wizard: and :grouphug: all around.

Prayers said that it is not as bad as you fear. :wizard: :grouphug:

That one is my favorite too. Beautiful girls, Jennifer.

This is so cute... although I can't believe Olivia is in shorts!

Good Morning DDA!

Robyn and Jennifer, the kids pics are just too cute!

Lucy had me laughing! Her smile is just contagious!

Jennifer love the pictures, Virginia is such a cutie :goodvibes Olivia is growing so much!

Robyn :wizard: for your BIL!

Tammi I agree, TGIF! I do not have to be back to work till Tuesday :cool1:

Yikes! Good thoughts for all of you as he deals with this!:wizard:

I saw that on the news.:scared:
Cute pics of your girls! It is definitely warm enough for shorts and sandals!:thumbsup2

Thanks all

That is precious!

Tonight Eric and I found out that his BIL very possibly has testicular cancer. Apparently he's had something that he ignored for a while and my SIL finally forced him to the doctor's this past week. His Commanding Officer accompanied him as SIL was afraid he'd skip out on the appointment. BIL is not the type to go to the doctor's at all. I hope and pray that it's not as bad as they fear but I don't think that's the case. So if you all have any spare prayers and :wizard: for him I'd appreciate it.
I hope it turns out to be negative.:wizard:

Today is the 21st Anniversary of our first date   How are we celebrating? He's working today and I'm working tonight :lmao: At least we both have the weekend off though the kids have plenty of activities to keep us busy. We are also expecting a storm today and another on Sunday. When will winter end? We still need to make up on Snowboarding day, but It doesn't look like the weather will cooperate on Sunday and the Mountain closes at the end of the month :confused3
Congratulations you two!!!

This October it will be 22 years for us & our first date. October 11, 1986.
We went to the city, ate at a little diner in greenwich village, went to the observation deck of the twin towers, & sat in a park until 3am until the cops chased us out.

I had to break Abi's heart last night about girl scouts. She TOLD dad she was going to a meeting yesterday that I've been telling her I really don't want her with that troop anymore. After I talked to her about always ASKING me before doing anything (dad never says no)....I reminded her of why I don't want her in that troop anymore. A. Even though her best friend is in it they are the only 2 middle schoolers in it....they go down to the elementary school and add 10-12 4th and 5th graders (because of the leader's best friend's daughter..who is a spoiled brat). I have continually told her that I think she needs to be with girls her own age and maturity level. I am even willing to go back to being a leader. Then because this really wasn't registering with her...I got to tell her that even though I like her bf's mom, the leader, (and I do) she is not a person I want to be a moral guide/role model for Abi.

Boy I didn't mean to write quite as much as I did...thanks for "listening"
You have to do whats best for her. Being a parent can be brutal sometimes!

Happy Anniversary.

Wow first date for Hal and I was June 17, 1966. Blind date to Tu-Vu Drive In
We saw 'Trouble with Angels' and some other movie. We were too busy making out in the front seat!!!

Fourty-Two years went by fast :goodvibes :lmao: :cool1:
OOOhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

Even though its been 42 years for you two, you are one of the youngest people I know.:)

Me either lol I do remember inviting Gary over to my mom's for dinner. I made Tuna noodle casserole & somehow managed to royally mess it up(I think it had something to do with nerves):rotfl: When he came over I told him I had to toss it out & he sorta laughed & said no problems because he did not really care for that anyway

I don't remember what we ended up eating though :confused3

I have no idea of the date of Jim and I's first date:lmao:

Disney Store Alert:

Beach towels are on sale $7.99!

I went in to get my check & I got a Mickey, Sleeping Beauty, & Cars.
Daniel is off today so we hit the mall already. He had some fun in Gamestop. He has Star Wars Lego for Wii & LOVES it. June 3rd Indiana Jones Lego comes out just in time for his birthday!

Denise,
Yes we will have to find a spot to stop & say Hi! I would love to meet you & your gang!

Deb & Chris congratulations

Theresa glad to hear your headache is gone today, I hope it stays away :wizard:

I just woke up, after the boys left for school I went back to sleep. Felt good to snooze a little longer!

Good Morning All!!

Today is the first day since Sunday that I have not woken with a headache of varying degrees.

Jennifer-those babies are just so precious:lovestruc ....and boy don't they look alike:goodvibes . For all of you who were commenting on Olivia's shorts....I am pretty sure it's been cooler here and Cassidy has been in shorts most of the week and flip flops:rotfl:

Robyn-I hope the diagnosis is not as dire as first heard. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Tia-tell us how the movie is....Cassidy is very disappointed in watching the commercials.

of course that's what we are here for.

Looking for suggestions.

I'm going to take Bethany shopping tomorrow to get her dad something for his birthday. I know her mom won't do it, and since Bob is going to be working on my car, I figure that's a perfect way to entertain her for awhile. Any ideas on something little but memorable?

usually whatever a kid gets their dad is great...my girls like giving dad PEZ dispensers (because he collects them). Does Bob collect anything small like that???

How about a book that they like reading together???

picture frame?? With a picture of just the two of them.

Thanks. I look at him and cannot believe all these years have gone by so fast. I can still remember him at the front door looking so cute in his madras shirt, clean cut pants and his high school ring. I just melted. :goodvibes

That's beautiful that you still feel that way.

Deb - Happy anniversary! :)

Tammi - No clue on what Bethany could get for Bob. Sorry!

We went to breakfast with the nannies, then we went to the bookstore, now we are back home. DS wants to go back out "later". I'm not sure when DH will be home. He is on a "normal" route today so maybe he won't be too late.

Theresa - I think you did the right thing telling Abi she can't be in a troop with kids who are 2 grades younger.

Anne Marie - DS loves his Lego Star Wars for Wii. I bet he would love the Indy Jones, too!

Elin I am sorry I am sharing my headaches....but did you have to send some of it back this way??:confused3 :rotfl2:

Yesterday was the worst...the pain is tolerable today.

Tomorrow we are going to the oldest and biggest (outside of New York) St. Patrick's parade. Littleton is pairing with another high school to march in it (in a Rose Bowl parade bid). Cassidy was not very happy with the section leader....weighed her options between calling her a itch and mean...mean won out:rotfl:

I marched in this parade eons ago....such an odd feeling.

Sunday I am going to try and make krautburgers....while not irish food it does include cabbage which is close enough for me:rotfl:

Olivia wanted a super sleuth party. But I can't find party supplies on line so I convinced her to have an Ariel Party
