2 months from today I will be at Disney :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Bernadette are you getting just as excited? :yay:

That is cutting it close! :wizard: for no more snow days. Not to jinx us, but I think we have only used 1 snow day. So hopefully school we be out this year as scheduled.

We had 5 built in that we used first. They have now had 7 snow days.

I need to vent a bit. Chris and I went on our weight watcher's diet full force Monday morning. I even gave up ALL soda, even my beloved diet cherry pepsi. I'm drinking as much water as I can and supplementing with crystal light. I have been sure not to go over my points, so why is it that I haven't lost ANY weight :confused3 Chris has lost, though he won't tell me how much as he knows that I will be mad that he can lose at the drop of a hat.
I guess I'll just keep on swimming.

We are on our way to Akershus for an early breakfast. The bad weather missed us. It poured while we were on the bus last night to Magic Kingdom to catch the monorail to the Grand Floridian. By the time we reached MK, the rain had stopped and the rest of the night was gorgeous.

Hope you have a great time at breakfast. Love the picture of your girls!

Well, I've got pancakes to make so I guess I had better go. Wish I had remembered that promise before I had cereal for breakfast, but oh well. The kids are back in school today so maybe I'll get something else productive done today as well.

You were very productive yesterday, give yourself a little break today! We're making pancakes almost every day around here, because I made the mistake of showing Alyssa I could write out her name in pancake batter. At least she's showing an interest in learning to write her name. :teeth:

Deb, it's been two days. Don't be so hard on yourself. I'm sure Chris has more to spare, and he's probably losing some water weight. You'll be rewarded for your efforts soon! :wizard:

Alyssa has a class field trip today. I wish the weather was a bit warmer, since we'll be outside tapping maple syrup, but it should still be fun.

Lots of crazy weather around our country! Be safe everyone!

Public Service Announcement:

Colby watched the Today show this morning and he learned that we should not eat burritos. Why you might ask...well there was a lady on the show that wanted to have one baby so she had a burrito and then she had three babies at one time...

She had in vitro not a burrito :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I get tears from laughing so hard at his interpretation :rotfl: :rotfl:

That's very funny considering we ate burritos last night for dinner and I saw that segment this morning. :rotfl:

OMG TOO FUNNY :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl:  :rotfl:

We got a call at 5:30 AM saying that school was delayed 2 hours. Another call at 7:30 AM that it was cancelled. It has been raining since yesterday and the back roads must be pretty slick. The boys are happy to be home, but that makes 2 days that they need to make up. Hopefully they won't have many more snow days as it is quickly encroching on our vacation. We had a week between school ending and vacation, now there is only 3 days

It's only Wednesday Deb! Give yourself at least a week & I am sure you will drop some lbs. Life is just not fair when it comes to weight loss..men always seem to lose while women struggle. Dana can loose 10 lbs in a week, takes me a month to do that.

Deb - Great shirts! They turned out nicely.

Anne Marie - The frame looks really nice. Just find the studs and you should be able to hang it will no problem.

Elizabeth - Hope Princess is feeling better soon. I hope that Brother gets the guidance and comfort he needs soon. Poor thing.

Robyn - Hope Molly's potty success continues!

Glynis - :wizard: that everyone in your household is feeling better ASAP!!!

Great recap, Tia. I will ditto! :thumbsup2

Well we ended up with somewhere between 10-12 inches. I went out to shovel thinking it would be about 6-7, but found a lot more! It took about 1 hour and 45 min between my shovelling and Phil's to find the driveway again. Terra was helping too. ;) Mainly though she just flopped her way through the snow and tried, usually unsuccessfully, to stay on her feet. I'll try to upload some pictures tomorrow.

If you could spare some pixie dust for my dad, he could use it. He wasn't going to work tonight unless they needed him, which then did in the end. He called around 9:30 to day that he was in a ditch. As of 10:45 a tow truck was on the way and he may have a delivery or two to finish. Luckily, his company volunteered to foot the towing bill. It's not something that they normally would do, but I think that they felt it would be some good will since he's one of the only drivers out there. He thinks that the can is fully driveable, but won't know for sure until they wench him back up the hill. Hopefully there is no front end damage. This is the van he bought just 2 weeks ago and has only been driving for work for 4 days now. Sooo not what he needed today.

Wow - glad to hear you're not sore today (probably has to do with all that exercise :goodvibes ), and that your dad made it home safely with little/no damage to his van. :wizard: for no more bad weather!

I know, I know! I'll work on it today. However, I got online this morning to make sure I posted this just for you! Becky had the perfect tank that fit perfectly underneath. The shirt was just a little big on her and would gape (is that a word?) at the front. Plus, she is not one to wear low cut shirts anyway. This worked perfectly.

This was Saturday morning at our Tusker House breakfast. The food was delicious. Yummy!

What an awesome pic in awesome shirts! Everyone looks fabulous. :goodvibes WTG, Deb! Vicki, glad you guys are having a fabulous time!

Lindsay -- I worried about you yesterday. It seemed the further North the worse the roads were. I hope your fur baby is doing better.

Vicki -- great pictures! I'm glad you are having a great trip!

Our weather here is still crazy. We woke up to snow/ice in some areas of DFW yesterday, then it warmed up to high 50s with sun, then by tomorrow during the day, temps will drop and we could have more wintery mix. We didn't get any snow, so I'm hoping to see some big fat flakes.

Oh, you're sweet. We did have quite a bit of snow (for Texas) up my way Monday night - it started snowing around 6:30, and was still going strong when I went to bed that night at midnight. It wasn't the big fat flakes - very fine. All in all, I bet there was 2-3" on the grass, bushes, rooftops, etc. - anything that hit the ground melted since it had been pretty warm. It was still pretty to see yesterday morning. It was all gone by the time I got home last night. :guilty:

The roads were just fine yesterday. I did have to drive myself yesterday because I had an appt. in Lewisville in the afternoon, but amazingly, it was not bad! That never happens.

Glad to hear it wasn't bad on your end, either. This weather is nutso!

We got a call at 5:30 AM saying that school was delayed 2 hours. Another call at 7:30 AM that it was cancelled. It has been raining since yesterday and the back roads must be pretty slick. For a minute I thought you were going to say it was the Obama campaign thanking you guys for voting. ;) Hope the bad weather ends for you guys so you can get to sunny Florida on time this year! :wizard:

It makes me very thankful for the guy who used to live in the apt next to us in Salem. There were 4 apts and we had a front walk, 4 spaces of parking on the side and a sidewalk there. Every snow storm that 100+" winter, he was out there shovelling before anyone else got out there. He took care of all 4 spaces and the sidewalks, plus would make me a path from our backdoor since he knew that's how I usually came and went.

I did feel really bad one time during the blizzard as he worked all morning to clear the side parking. He had been inside no more than 15 minutes when the plows came through piling at least 3" of snow blocking the parking again. Thankfully, one of the guys upstairs saw it happen and went out there with his shovel before the original guy ever knew it happened.

Lucky for me, I'm not very sore at all this morning. I wasn't sure how I'd be doing. I only did half the drive as Phil did half too, but it was 2-3x as much snow as usual. We really need to get an actual snow shovel though. This using a grain shovel thing is going to kill me yet. First, it's short so you have to bend over more. Plus, it's not all that light on it's own, so add snow to it and it gets heavy. Then there's the fact that it's metal so the snow freezes to it. :sad2: Why didn't anyone listen to me when I suggest a shovel for Dad for Christmas. ;)

What a great neighbor! :goodvibes

Yes, I think you need a proper snow shovel. :scared:

 I agree with Amy - guys' metabolism just works differently than women's, and I'm sure you'll begin to see the fruits of your labor soon. I am impressed with your giving up soda! Good for you. :goodvibes

I saw that piece this morning. When I heard they only put one embryo in, but ended up with identical triplets, that scared the poop out of me! :scared1:

Hi everyone! Back from Vegas! Too short of a trip, that's for sure. The Wynn is beautiful, Spamalot was awesome and The Buffet at the Wynn was delish! Took us an hour and a half to get home from the airport - normally a 40 minute drive. Ice was horrible! We couldn't see any lines on the freeway and almost hit a tree on a road close to home. Lost power about midnight and didn't come back on until 10:30am this morning. I'll have photos up later tonight if I get a chance after class.

Welcome home, Chanon! Glad to hear you had a great trip. Also glad to hear that you did not hit that tree. :scared: Yikes!

Can't wait to see pics!

Well, I need to get back to work. My new responsibilities have me a bit dazed - hopefully that will pass once we have a handle on all of them. :goodvibes

Have a great day, DDA! :flower3:

Hi Chanon,

Glad to see you made it home safely. I hate driving in icy conditions.

Pictures, Pictures yes we want pictures.

Welcome home, Chanon! Glad to hear you had fun! :)

Princess went to school today. I told her teacher to call me if Princess seems miserable. The teacher said there were 3 kids in class on Monday with that cough, so I guess we could have taken her to school Monday!

DS was really irritated with me last year because we didn't do anything for Easter. Well, I am not "doing" anything this year, either, but I am starting to look for things to put in a basket for him. I found "The Golden Compass" for the Wii at Target for half price. I need to get him to read the book, even though it is confusing at the beginning.
I found 2 Wiggles DVDs for Princess at Ross. Those are getting really hard to find! Tia, they had "Yule be Wiggling". I thought of you! I would have gotten it but the package had been opened. The shrink wrap was gone and so was all of the adhesive they use to seal the edges. I didn't bother to open it to see what the disc looked like.

DS went off to school in his glasses today. I told him if anybody teases him to just ignore it. We know LOTS of adults with glasses, and nobody teases them. It is a stupid thing to tease somebody about, but lots of kids are stupid. Every one of DS's male teachers wears glasses.

Hi everyone. Busy day here.

Vicki - I wish I could see your pictures, but they will have to wait until I get home. Darn filters!

Chanon - Welcome home! I'm glad you are safe!

Deb - the burrito thing had me laughing.

I'm planning on putting Enchanted in Alyssa's basket and the Chihuahua Webkin in Nicholas', plus the usual jellybeans, chocolate eggs and Reese's peanut butter eggs.
